Thank you. What a beautiful short. I love the way these two technologies and souls met and the potential of 40hz for experiencing altered states of consciousness. In uncertain and stressful times, Neurofeedback is a true gift to humanity...in the right hands of course.

Wow. It shows the amazing power of technology to transform the spiritual path and vastly accelerate the road to enlightenment.

This is amazing. Has anyone tried something similar, but going to a much lower frequency like she mentioned?

Thank you for this video, very inspiring! Can you tell the exact positions that were used?

Hi @SabineNagler. Let me see if I can post links here. This is likely the setup that was used at the time www.eeginfo.com/knowledgebases/360/setup-for-2-channel-alpha-theta-or-synchrony
There is a lot more in Sue Othmer's Protocol Guide

Of course, we should remember, that the fact of experienced meditator having deep states in front of a machine, doesn't imply that a newbie will have same depth of experience with this machine.
I would be more interested to see his oscillations during a daily meditation.

It's true, what he described about his experience is unlike anything we hear from us regular folks doing the training. The point is really the other way around -- that a true expert on the subject still found the experience so meaningful.

What is so fascinating is the exact opposite - that a machine like this can still have a major effect on an advanced meditator. It is great news for the rest of us.

Why does the scientists explain the neurofeedback synchrony to the monk, he doesn't speak english...

The woman sitting between them, Minh, is translating, only some of that is edited out of the video for time.

This is how interpretation works. You talk directly to an individual not an interpreter. The interpreter is meant to seat in the background. That said, the interpreter needed to relate the exact message but didn't a few times. Instead, she summarized. I made similar mistakes also. She needed to interpret exactly what the research said, using the second person, e.g. you not he/she. There are multiple studies that have been done on Tibetan monks regarding brainwaves. I would like to see similar studies on Buddhist nuns.
