Ole Edvard Antonsen, Alison Balsom, and Matthias Höfs are my favorite living trumpeters. They all play as pure as a crystal. Elmer Churampi is very close to being up there with the best. My all time favorite is Maurice Andre.
If they play this in Sweden. We Finns believe in that everything is better in Sweden. When you die some day and you wake up in heaven (and not in New York or Pori) angels tel you that heaven is just perfect place but however, everything is still better in Sweden. I do not why, but this is truth.

Han liksom Alison Balsom, klarar att med sin fantastiska röst träffa var enda ton rätt och med ett perfekt kontrollerat vibrato utan tillstymmelse till överdrift.

This is originally a violin concerto. (The catalog number is RV 356). It would have been impossible to play this piece on a trumpet during Vivaldi's lifetime, since those valveless instruments were restricted to the notes of the overtone series. Ms. Balsom uses the B-flat shank on her piccolo trumpet for this performance, which puts the piece in B minor for her. The fingerings in this concerto are actually easier when playing it on a B-flat piccolo rather than on an A piccolo trumpet.
