Yo también tengo esta serie de technics en su época dorada con componentes de 1a categoría.. y ese ecualizador doble es una delicia junto con ampli pre .. es precioso..que lo disfrutes mucho mucho Es de época de matsuchiro
Hey, just collected the SU 9070 with SE 9060 set and they are great! Is yours SE 9060 got quite hot transformers after some hours of operation? I mean you can touch them but the temperature is probably more than 45 celsius degrees in quiet listening. I hooked to it Jamo Concert VII speakers which are 6 Ohm each. Greetings!
@@ddd2184 Thanks. It sounds like it was designed to be paired with them, superb and punchy sound. I have to change the speaker relays in the 9060 unit. Operation was success but I noticed that few caps are completely shot so I stopped using the amp to prevent damage it or the speakers. I've prepared a list and I got one doubt about the bipolar caps C301 located near DC set transistors and C303 near Driver amp transistor. Can I replace them with film capacitors or I'm froced to use exact the same type? Also thanks for temperature answer :).
@@dominikmichalczak4941 Yes you can replace with film cap if your able to fit them in the space.. I use Nichicon ES Muse Bipolars 50v rating. Sadly all the Panasonic caps are bad at this age.. Same is true for the Preamp.. The 15000uf PS Caps are unobtinium you would have to modify the pcb for use with new capacitors .
@@ddd2184 I've replaced all of them besides the 18.000uF caps which still have their capacity. The difference is less than 5% from the nominal value. I've also replaced all of the variable resistors. Those originals have heavily corroded legs. I've used Piher Spain variable resistors from PT6 series. Ofcourse I've measured the originals and adjusted the new ones to be "almost" the same settings before soldering them. Pream is still waiting till I finish with the amp. Thanks for the answer :)
