- The Florida State Seminoles defeated the Duquesne Dukes, 47-7, to open the 2022 season. The Seminoles rolled on the ground with three running backs going for over 100 yards in the game, Treshaun Ward with 127 yards and 2 touchdowns, Trey Benson with 105 yards and a touchdown and Lawrance Toafili with 101 yards and a touchdown.

One of the few Duquesne fans here. Obviously, FSU is in a completely different class and dominated with size, speed, and skill. As for Duquesne, I think it was an opportunity for them to gain from their experience of playing a very good team. I hope it will pull them up to the next level so that they can compete for a championship in their conference. All the best, Seminoles!
The way the Dukes scored after the turnover showed me they were better than what they were showing. That QB is good and I'm sure thry came in with a simple gameplan. Actually the Dukes made FSU look like an average team which tells you the Dukes got some talent. No one came away from the game thinking FSU was ready to beat Clemson

@@tonyking8310 He's not gonna come around. This is his third year in the program and he literally always looks like this when he gets in games. Tons of athletic potential but he's a deer in headlights even when he's on a tiny stage. Duffy is the de facto QB2 right now.
If Travis get hurt we done, and Mike brought that in here, hope Duffy can come though but he a true freshman

We barely opened up the playbook, played pretty conservative, and still put up 47. Take away the INT and we probably would’ve gotten the shut out. I honestly think after we got a 20 point lead, all eyes were looking towards LSU. It’ll be interesting to see how they do the rest of the season with Travis and all four RBs.

The Revenge of the Cupcakes came in 2019 when the 'Canes got dumped by Ga. Tech in their 5th straight home game followed by losing their last three games to Duke, FIU and Louisiana Tech (who shut them out 14-0).

@@pnut3844able FSU turned the corner the second half of last season. This is just a continuation of that. FSU has the toughest schedule in the ACC this year. Can't say that about Miami by any means.

Yes how long is short quick fast and power which one got the most power I don't know thanks Benson being put to the Lawrence and I think is hill he played a snap or two really don't know what he really is about yet but with all them it's going to be real hard to stop all especially if the line can dominate and push the defense and Jordan being able to pass every now and then to our receivers . With the tight ends I didn't see Cameron McDonald out there plus him taking off a little bit without sacrifice himself we can have a magnificent season

I love all four of our running backs they are all dangerous! Great job. The defense concern me a little because that team isn't that good but we will pick it up. We'll obviously take this. Much improved. But that offensive line continues to be the Achilles heel of the offense.
