Incredible album. Best of the year which I expected. My favorite is surprisingly hell raiders after listening through a few times. Second drop is godly coming from a choir kid.
No doubt the Best album of the year. Teminite proves again to be one of the Best artist of This era, and This album couldn't be Made it whitout the pioner of the Piratestep: the argentinian Omar Varela
My ranking of the album: 1. Kraken 2. Sail Away 3. Plunder 4. Thundering Typhoons 5. The Deep 6. RTBF 7. Ghost Ship 8. Electropi 9. Sesh The Seven Seas 10. Pirate Afterparty 11. Hell Raiders I understand if you disagree, it is very hard to rank them because they are all soooo sick.
I love teminite's devotion to his style. Instead of following the trends, teminite has stayed in his own lane. Over the past few years, the only thing that has changed is the quality of his productions. With this album, teminite has showed that he can wrap his style around virtually any genre. Please don't change Sam, just keep getting better.
One of the most creative, thematic and branching albums I've ever heard in electronic music. I remember the excitement he had when talking about the album on a podcast with Skybreak months before its release; needless to say that fun attitude presented translated perfectly into the final production. Very inspiring project and was fun seeing you enjoy it all the way through along with myself!
I hate how some people were writing this off as just a pirate themed bass album that was mediocre. This album could potentially be my favourite released this year, it is certainly not just another album. Teminite's production is above that of many other producers in my opinion and his style is so unique.
Just remember those are the type of people who’ll happily headbang to quarter note riddim track no. 357 of the year and think it’s the best thing ever created.
Bit of cool music theory for you, the last chord on The Deep actually is the V chord in the key, which sets up a bit of suspense and is resolved in the very first chord of the next song, being in the same key which I think is absolutely fantastic.
This album is the culmination of the Piratestep. It has everything: the pioner, bass, glitch-hop,riddim,melodic dubstep and much, much more. Teminite, Kill the Noise & VR's albums show us how they can change the way we hear dubstep normally. And there's no doubt for the next year so many people do tracks very similar to all we heared from those 3 albums
God, this album is over a year old now, and it STILL blows me away. I've only enjoyed this more and more as I kept listening to it. The Deep and Hell Raiders are just absolute masterpieces that will likely always be two of my favorite songs of all time from any genre, in an album where every track is just so good. We need more stuff like this. Just dripping with energy, fun, personality and general love for the craft.
Teminite will be the only person capable of inserting a random ass Beethoven themed part into a dubstep and make it work the way it did in The Kraken. I fucking adore that part, simply for the fact that it feels so out of place yet is so fucking awesome. No one will be able to replicate it.
I feel Teminite has always delivered some of the best musicality in bass music since I discovered him with his Hero remix in 2014. The groove is always on point, the melodies always hit those sweet spots, and the whole concept is rock solid. Again, one of my favourite artists delivering a no skip experience
When you listen to this album, you can tell just how much love, care, and enjoyment went into the creation of it. That's why, in my opinion, Teminite is one of the best dubstep acts. His music doesn't feel tied down to a specific genre or subgenre. It just feels like he does what he loves, and tries to make unique and fun music, and you can really tell by listening through his discography. Anyway, amazing album.
Sail Away was actually my favorite track off the whole thing haha I guess I just admire it for how well done the chord progressions are, similar to how I love believe and unstoppable
HI Nell 😍😍😍 and I'd say Ghost Ship and Raise the Black Flag are my favorites, they have really interesting rhythms with some really heavy and cool drops
Edit: Forgive me for this mess of a comment. I've not commented on youtube for over a year or so, so I may repeat or not delve in to some things I said below properly. Does anyone care, nah not really I just thought I would give you fair warning. Genuinely, this album has truly made me reflect on a lot on what I do with my production, mixing and especially musicality and has made me realise the true importance of all of those combined. The sounds are so aggressive, full of flavour and juice like a perfect steak (yummy) but yet are so varied and consistent in delivery and I truly appreciate that so much. A lot of tracks nowadays I feel have way too much of what I somewhat call a citreous sound and lack that bit of needed power in the mids and lows to get you moving (I myself fall into this category). The production presented in this album combined with the flow of those sounds legit turned my arms in to tentacles. The musicality in this album has made me somewhat passionate, jealous and ashamed at the same time. Passionate because the stuff that we get here is fabulous and made me wonder how to achieve such atmospheric melodies myself to really lift up my intro and mid sections. Jealous because... I'm not explaining, listen to "The Deep". Ashamed because I once had an opportunity to have personal piano lessons and while I did take them, I really did not take proper advantage of them, only using them to learn how to essentially play covers and while I could play Fur Elise like a mad man I did not take in the music theory side of things and didn't get the whole point of those lessons. Looking back, my teacher was trying to help me with that but I didn't see it. Lesson is, make sure you're going in to those lessons for the true and correct reasoning and not waisted the professional's time playing "Alan Walker - Faded" on the piano for an hour. The mixing in these songs are what I aspire to achieve. The kicks and snares are so present to the point where they sound like they sit nicely on top of the track rather than being mixed in to the tracks (if that makes sense, sometimes I talk nonsense). I'm just sat here just analysis Plunder and am just in awe in how every frequency spectrum is busy but organised and clean and how the whole drop stays at a very consistent - 5 to -4 LUFS for most of the duration of the drop without any soft clipping device ,from what I've seen using "Schope" (a visual plugin that shows the waveform of the track that it's placed on. Sorry I'll stop sucking up to Teminite but I'll say 2 more things: 1, the theming is fantastic and unique for me at least, I haven't really seen a pirate dubstep track personally but be free to tell and recommend me other tracks like this just in case I'm ignorant. And 2: "Every time I'm in the street, I hear 36:57 2x" sorry "I couldn't resist mate." get the reference there?

But this is absolutely stellar, very exceptional to the ear. My favourite tracks are: -Electroctopi (the "Space Laces" ID, this is like Space Laces with sprinkled in Au5. The basses in the drops are so chunky and I love the choir added in the drops that add a grand feel to the track) -RTBF (yh....must I say more?) -Kraken (sound design is amazing and the predrop vocal gives me CHILLS) -Ghost ship (loved the drops alot. I wished it was longer) -Pirate after-party (I missed this teminite style so much) Even the tracks like sesh the seven seas and Thundering typhoons (Which have the overly pirate themed vocals) don't feel left out as they are carried by the amazing musicality that will get stuck in my head. Sail away and plunder are also really good gems.
I loved the reactions where Connor just didn't know what to do or say lol. Reminds me of when he first listened to Vaultage 3. What an incredible album

(Hell Raider, The Kraken, Electroktopi and Thundering Typhoons) I think it's cuz they're the little experiments of Teminite, don't remember listening to him like this! This was just after my second listen tho. Sail Away is my favorite, kind of a shame you didn’t like it as much as the rest 😅
Top 5 right now would be
1. Sail Away
2.Pirate Afterparty
3.Plunder
4.Hell Raiders
5.Electroctopi
Overall I really enjoyed the whole experience but not gonna lie I'm in love with the last part of the album, with this I mean last 4 tracks! (Hell Raider, The Kraken, Electroktopi and Thundering Typhoons) I think it's cuz they're the little experiments of Teminite, don't remember listening to him like this! This was just after my second listen tho.
Will probably listen to it again like 5 times before making conclusion but so far that's what I think :D
Also would love to know if Thundering Typhoons has influences of Celldweller or am I just thinking gibberish (?)
Nice reaction luv ur channel bro ❤️
My jaw was just hanging open when I first heard Ghost Ship, couldn't believe it.
I used a mashup of Plunder and Stormbringer for making one of my characters, funnily enough.
AYYY LESSS GOOOO

The kraken is a banger 😂. "Stop it" 😂😂
Bro that ghost ship is like a blend of knife party and kill the noise vibe

Plunder - try not to head bang challenge, Impossible.

Ghost ship might be a late SOTY, i mean holy shit
That one is actually hell raiders for me. I keep replaying the second drop over and over. The progression is just incredible.
@@mr.fufucudlypoops8207 same Like the Song is just. wow. Especially the second drop.
@@imrxinz especially the lyrics. Knowing what the Latin says is so badass. And when the sopranos come in it's just... holy shit.
@@mr.fufucudlypoops8207 what does the latin mean, if you could tell me?
@@Rednodge_9 "A mortem, infernum populatores." It means "from death, hell raiders."
