Here's the first part of my footage from the Swanage Railway Diesel Gala May-23.
A great line-up of locos on show with the a wide mix of various classes of traction plus the London Underground 4TC..

Swanage Railway always put in a fantastic gala, and this one was also thoroughly enjoyable.
Just my opinion, but I dislike that LU 4TC, it is always hot and clammy inside, and enthusiasts cannot film the loco(s) pulling it because of the bars on the windows. I’m hoping Swanage Railway can get their own 4TC up and running for next years gala, it is original with windows that open properly, and no bars !!!

The Class 40 does look very nice. The TC would be so much nicer without the window bars though ..

It was a fantastic gala 😊 Swanage Railway are absolutely superb 👍 My only gripe is that 4TC which is always hot and clammy inside, and being unable to film behind the locos that pull it. I’m hoping Swanage Railway can get their own 4TC up and running for next year, original carriages with proper windows that open, and no bars on the door windows !
