Maybe you can't randomly use avada kedavra but is it like a morality system or like Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO, where you are at a certain point (in a cutscene) where you defeated your opponent and have a choice to either kill or not and if you choose kill, the character uses avada kedavra on the enemy.
I guess the Room of Requirement is like the main hub of the game. Like, prep for missions, store your gear etc. But the thing id like to see is whether using Avada Kedavra even when you're morally good will work. Like, it didn't work that well for Harry on Bellatrix in OOTP. So, I wanna see that
@@Mr.PR2000 yeah like that should be the most powerful spell in the game that would change combat a lot making your other spells for combat almost useless
This was absolutely incredible. The combat!! One part where you can see the main character lifting someone up and while they’re in the air attack another enemy… wow… and the different arm movements for the spells… it just looks like there is such breadth in combat and I love that. And the classes look like so much fun. I like that we can seem to grind a bit in the room of requirement. I loved grinding in Pokemon back in the day. Ah, I’m rambling because I am excited but yeah this looks incredible and everyone seems to agree. And you were completely right about it coming out at the end of the year. That’s my Christmas holidays sorted…!
The gameplay was so good! Even more excited for the game than I already was, I was literally squealing like a kid the whole 14 minutes. The Room of Requirement looks a lot like a mobile game though with all those timers
Well, a timer-like mechanic was prominent in JRPGs like Persona 4/5 for getting vegetables and stuff like that. So more or less it'll be better than what we've seen in mobile games.
@@argentcontent9874 That's true, I didn't consider that. Though the Persona 'timers' were advanced by gameplay from what I recall and these seem to be real-time. Still, it's not enough to ruin the experience for me. Could be a way to incentivise going to classes maybe? Hopefully they give us a deep-dive into the RoR before release so we have a better idea of what to expect from it
@@phantale Definitely advanced by gameplay but still, it works just like a timer system as there is only a limited number of days in which you could actually advance and complete the story. But for a game like this I'd say the story time only advances after a specific chapter like Bully, so this would be more like grinding than being locked between story and RoR. The thing I'm worried about is that small resources they showed while customising the RoR outer cottage and stuff. Hopefully that won't be micro transactions
Id love a video where we go over the names that were dropped and see if we can determine who they are. They gave us a lot of names to dive into. Natsai Onai, Poppy Sweeting, Sebastian Sallow, Ranrock, Eleazar Fig (wonder if his daughter is the squibb from the movies) Victor Rookwood (obviously his decendents followed the Dark Lord), and of course the house elf deek.
At 1:18 Fig is sliding across the floor! Hahaha. Other than that, the reveal was great. Also noticed, at 1:15, when the MC is touching the wall and makes it see-through, the colour on his robes is grey - meaning he hasn't been sorted yet, maybe this is the entrance to Diagon Alley, and Fig is our Dumbledore + Hagrid combo character? Saw 3 companions, need the 4th Ravenclaw companion. Hope there are at least 2 characters per house, that way you can have a Trio. (A possible hint to this is that the MC is shown, in the Gryffindor common room, talking to a red-headed kid, and it has been confirmed there is a Weasley in the game; will this kid be the Weasley, and if so, will they be the other Gryffindor companion along with Natsai?)
I've been re-reading the post they made on PlayStation Blog and something they said gave me an idea. In the section called "Live the Unwritten" there's a part that says "-like Harry, the player’s character is a bit of a celebrity from the outset due to the fact that they are starting as a fifth-year and because they survived a-" and then it's cut off. No spoilers, obviously. But that got me thinking. What did we survive? Maybe it was a dragon attack, or maybe witch/wizard hunters. But what if it's something else. To me, it seems odd that we're a 15 year old joining so late. What was holding us back? My thought was, what if we didn't have a choice? What if our family didn't want us to be magical and forced us to repress our magic? What if the thing we survived was an Obscurus? It'd explain the lateness and the lack of knowledge. Although, I doubt that it has anything to do with the ancient magic we posses. There's a lot of holes in this theory, like Credence being the only known surviving Obscural, but it'd be interesting nonetheless. Idk, but I'm super excited to see where this game goes!
Warner Brothers updated the FAQ's on the Hogwarts Legacy Website, I would go check it out :) overall this gameplay reveal was so magical and the goosebumps were unreal, after 20 years of wanting a fully fleshed out game like this and to finally see it in the horizon is amazing, gaming is amazing lol.
I am very interested in the cauldron in the room of requirement 11:15 . It looks like the cauldron from "the wizard and the hopping pot" from the tales of beedle the bard. Also: notice how the robes of the playable character are different from the robes of the other students?
I come back to this every now and again. It makes me feel like a kid at Christmas to see Retro 'bouncing' with excitement in the chair. I love that they darkened the theme, but to me what speaks the most loudly is the fact that the presentation started with thunder even before the music hits.
absolute insanity, idk what to even say i'm most excited about. love the companion feature being confirmed, i think you're right about it being like Persona (though i've never played those) or maybe something like Greedfall? love confirmation of seasons, day and night, changing how my character looks? amazing. that cottage you can have? what's that about? do we literally get our own house? and a cat creature of some kind? man sorry about the long message but they hype is real as they say XD
The house I believe is more of a beautiful prop to be used in decorating our grassy Vivarium (the greenhouse looking portal). I mention the grassy Vivarium in particular because if you watch the sweeping shots of the Room of Requirement you can see two other Vivariums, one clearly a snowy biome and the other clearly for Ocean dwelling creatures! I think the cottage acts as an “enclosure” or just a prop for our Creatures to interact with rather than a house that we enter, since we already have a customizable base in the form of the Room of Requirement itself. Maybe the house can be entered and acts like a cage for some Doxies or somthing like that?
@@RetroRaconteur yeah totally, if there's one person for the job the, well even if it isn't you (but it very much is) you're doing it anyway! lol anyway looking forward :)
@@WiseOakDakota hmmm, i hadn't thought about that, but you're probably right. i doubt they'd give us a full on house like skyrim or something lol. but a small base maybe to store stuff and keep our creatures would still be handy
One of my questions is how will the day/night and season progression work? We are students with classes that we must attend… so we only get to freely explore on the weekends and only for a limited time until Monday? Or do we just have to option to stop the game clock or how will it all work out? Things like creatures to capture and plants to harvest should be dependent and vary with the season but it wouldn’t make sense for us to be able to change the season ourselves to hunt down things we need
It looks to me like it might be following a pretty similar path to the old ps2 game bully, or canis canem edit as it was known where I'm from. That game had a pretty familiar idea of going to school attending lessons and exploring a surrounding town area and doing quests in your spare time, only in a much more mundane setting than hogwarts I also think they may incorporate some ideas from the persona series which also has you striking a balance between attending school, getting to know your classmates and exploring the world having adventures.
I'm so excited. I get emotional everytime I watch this. I can't wait to get sorted into Hufflepuff. Since it wasn't shown, I do however wonder about things like how we can... 1) Can we explore the Black Lake? Can we go underwater? 2) I saw a quick snippet of Dementors. Does that mean there's a Patrons Charm system involved? How would it determine our patronuses or can we choose them? 3) Can explore or travel to other locations such as Azkaban, Godrics Hollow, or the Ministry of Magic? 4) Since you can have a companion join you on your adventure, can you both hit an opponent with spells? Can you tag team with spells? 4) What happens if you choose a dark path? Does your appearance change? Do students respond to you differently ala Fable? 5) How do you get to Hogwarts? Do you go to Platform 9 ¾? Flying car? Floo powder? Thestrals? Uber? So many things I'm curious about. Plus a lot more. But I already know this will be my favorite game of all time.
I love how they decided to implement the unforgivables because they add replayability value. But I'm pretty sure it's gonna be just an endgame spell. Imagine using avadakadavra at school or in hogsmead, either it's possible to play the game while avoiding aurors and without attending school or maybe a way to sneak in and do stuff, or it's just plain unbelievable (likd blood magic in dragon age origins and da 2) Or you can just use them in dungeons if you are alone or with a friend that doesn't care. But there are moments where you actually play alongside the teacher so.. Balance-wise, in the lore you can defend against an avadakadavra by protecting yourself with an object. Since accio is a thing in this game, they can just make the spell animation take a bit of time and the enemy can use accio on a small rock or evade... etc
Hogwarts Legacy Twitter has been super active leading up to this trailer and afterwards they’ve been posting images of models of all house robes on characters. It’s awesome!
This may not be the place to say it, but I wonder if the game will feature a sort of a prologue section. Not a character creator (we already know that's in), but a part that will include maybe some small choices and quests that will help define our character a bit before we actually step foot into Hogwarts. Sort of like "childhood" in the Fable series. Not that I want are character to begin as a child and warp forward to a teen-ager. It's just I think it would be nice if there were some small choices and quests and story beats at the beginning of the game that might shape and show our character leaning slightly more towards either goodness or evil.
Everybody talking about this being the peak harry potter game, this looks like a peak GAME in general. We have been dissappointed a lot these past 3 years and this looks like a revival of the aaa gaming industry.
I’m so excited for this game!!!! Reading the blog post after made me even more hyped they perfectly summed it up while adding more little hints!! You can tell how much work they put in it already!! Thank you retro for the content!!
I will die for that house elf that showed us the newt's case thing. Also I wounder if the curse that Syltherin boy that is mother is dealing with could be a maladictus like Nagni.
What I haven't seen anyone mention: the boy at 1:58 is red headed. Maybe a Weasley? They are one of the original wizarding families so it would make sense.
Biggest concerns I've heard is not knowing how combat works due to a lack of a HUD (its probably hidden to be more cinematic or it isn't finalized yet) and the timers on things in the room of requirements making people think they're going to monetize those (let's be honest, timers have existed in games since any simulation style game has existed without being monetized so it's not something to really fret over) Meanwhile my biggest concern is the weird audio cut between "who is that chil-what are you not telling me?" And also, is this a year 5 only story or a 5-7 story I dunno why people think multi-player was gunna be a thing though, it being single-player was all but confirmed iirc Actually scratch that it is 100% confirmed single-player in their official FAQ with no co-op
@@RetroRaconteur I was never really worried about that, many pay to play with no micro-transactions have been made, from Harvest Moon style games to other sims and even games like No Man's Sky, to be fair the things they make you wait on make sense, like no one should expect a tree to immediately grow or anything. Hopefully people check the FAQ and realize that their biggest worries have already been answered
My hope is they will have a sequel game that goes beyond the learning years at Hogwarts and makes you choose a career (I.e. Auror, professor, shop owner, etc.)
The trailer is so well done. It’s like a masterclass of how to make a game trailer. They toed the perfect balance between showing a lot without giving too much away.
This looks amazing! I like how the Hogwarts legacy title looks vastly different compared to the Movie titles. Makes this game separate from the books and films, but be connected to some extent. Kind of like Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor/war titles.
No amount of words I could speak or write would feel like enough to describe my anticipation for this game. I'll just leave it at that. God willing, I'll be saving up for a Collector's Edition if they make one. I do love how they 'darkened' the theme with (I think) the cellos in the beginning of the presentation.
If there's one thing I'm disappointed in, it's that it took me four times watching the SOP to even realize one of the things I'm excited for- the fact that we don't have a silent protagonist
Hope this gets 90+ on Metacrtic when released and if so I think it will be the biggest selling game ever i'm sure!!.... good to see the Quidditch tease in that trailer and hopefully maybe Diagon Alley as Gringotts was also featured?!!! 🧙
I only have 1 question which is how much replay value can we get I calculated 16 play throughs which is all 4 houses either playing as a good or bad witch or wizard
I have a whole wall in my living room covered in harry potter collectables I've waited for this game ever since I read the fist chapter of the sorcerer's stone
I believe the studio has confirmed that there will be a system where you can choose to become a dark witch/wizard and use the unforgivable curses or become the hero and then you will not use them. It's all about YOUR journey and what you want your hogwarts legacy to be. So just to see all of the game that's two replays right there.
So I'm loving Hogwarts Legacy and I do hope that the Devs think about adding a Online Mode to the Game something similar to Red Dead Online, Fallout 76, Grand Theft Auto Online etc, but this Online Mode should be completely OPTIONAL! Another thing I hope the Devs consider adding is the ability to be completely evil ingame I hate it if we have to be the Hero all throughout the Game!
fans coming together after long years of desertion! I’m so excited for this game and versions (hopefully DLC’s and multiplayer Quidditch) that’s going to literally prolong its life and connect the whole wizarding community!
I'd love for there to be some sort of endgame where you have stuff to do after the credits roll other than just finding the last tidbits of collectables you missed. Maybe like an enchanted dungeon or tower that you progress through the floors and they get harder and harder,
Oh my god, this is literally my dream game. It's blowing my mind, the game looks so incredible and massive. Only thing I'm slightly disappointed about is no mention of quidditch, but the game itself is gonna be amazing. I just hope there's some distance between it and starfield lol, cause they're both around holiday time
I'm surprised to see so many feeling like quidditch wasn't confirmed. They showed a witch in quidditch gear on a broom wit the quidditch pitch in the background. I guess that doesn't totally confirm it as they didn't show the game being played, but still...I'd be surprised if they included that and didn't have it in the game.
Hmm I guess I missed that, I'll have to go back and look again. I guess I was just hoping to hear it mentioned, but they could be holding that back to officially announce later. Like with Azkaban! 🤞
I don't know if they talked about it, but I do hope they'll let you become an animagus. It'd be my dream come true. I will be completely lost in this game for months on end, or more
It was morning here when it came out... I missed my 5am run... that's the only time I can somehow fit in a workout. but man oh man it was worth it! you've been hinting us about goblins and merlin I guess... I also mentioned goblins before.
Also i find it weird that a different person in gameplay put sorting hat on student than in the trailer. In trailer there was 2 guys standing there. In gameplay there was one guy and one lady. And ladyvput on sorting hat. Maybe that confirms Mole is headmistress
Let me start off by saying I’ve been following this game since the leaks. I’ve been following you and podcast now on every video you two make about this game. It looks really really good and I’m excited for it. But I have problems an unpopular opinion. And that’s they should have used unreal engine five do to the fact it has meta human, nanite tracing, lumen, and real time texture tracing, and real time distraction algorithms, and for new gen consoles and pc do to their higher capabilities. Even if it meant the game being delayed longer but I will say I’m still extremely exited for the game and can’t wait to play it thank you and podcast now for all you’re amazing videos I appreciate you and the game developers for this game and the hype you and podcast now bring to it. Have an amazing day.
Hey Stephen, thanks for your support! That's a conversation way above my head! Not really sure why they chose UE4 over 5. Maybe it has to do with how long the game has been in development?
I believe it does because unreal engine 5 at the begging of hogwarts legacy was still kinda in what you could call a test mode or beta being used by people around the world to work out bugs and other problems and was not recommended to actually build a full game at the time but do to it’s availability it has become a useable engine. Either way I am extremely excited for this game I hope they set it up like BioWares mass effect trilogy where we have one very long year as a full game then they make year six where you can load you’re saved data from this game into that one all the way up to just after year seven. Thank you for replying.
Now I'm worried about microtransactions in the Room of Requirement section (I saw those timers), but on the whole it looks really great. I just home my PC is up to the task.
Yeah I was a bit worried ar first, but after reading the FAQ I'm pretty sure those are just regular timers to stop you being able to just farm to much equipment, fingers crossed they stick to there promises on this one.
It's usually the music that can be a problem. I originally tried to upload the exact recording from my livestream and YT's auto copyright system flagged the music that starts playing around the 6:00 mark in the new trailer. I had to edit that out so not sure how it isn't getting flagged for others.
I don't personally think Quiddich will be in it. It could have just been a cutscene in game introducing a character or something. I am sure it will be talked about in game. On the updated QA it says for brooms they will have it for transportation and broom races. Maybe a dlc or something though later down thr line if they have time to work on it. ^^
Yeah I'm not sure what to think about quidditch right now. Seems like such a huge omission and the trailer hinted at it being there...but as you said, they could have easily mentioned it with other broomstick info, but didn't.
We would see him if we progress to our 7th year. We know we start the game in year 5, but it's unknown how many years will pass over the course of the game.
I'm excited for this game very much. This is something I dreamed of: whimsical explorable Hogwarts that doesn't feel bland (like in OoP game). The only thing that worries me a bit is how they may handle Goblins in the story. Since it's for older players, I hope there's gonna be some nuance and not one-sided portrayal.
Thinks I am kinda fantasizing about currently are modding. Multiplayer is technically possible with the type of gameplay and would grant some nice game modes. Sadly the state of play doesn’t confirm any type of cooperative gameplay. Modding would be awesome with more clothing options. Extending upon maps possibly? Customizable spells? Assuming modding is going to be allowed. Edit: Also a mod that allows you to use your microphone to cast a spell. So saying “Avada kedavra” will cast that spell. This could probably also be achieved with voice attack (software) and may not be very useful in combat. But it can be fun within the puzzle stages of the game.
they can take all the time they need. the game seems enorumous and endlessly complex. it will be well worth the wait even if they aer forced to postpone
i just noticed that we didn’t see the main “villain” in the state of play that was in the trailer, im wondering what’s up with that… also i was thinking theirs gringotts because they were on that rail system but i saw ollivanders in hogsmeade when they were highlighting that section, so is gringotts going to be in hogsmeade too? or was that clip from the character possible getting money at the beg of the game like harry?
It's possible the goblin Ranrok could be the main villain? I need to think more about if that's Gringotts or not. It's definitely modeled to look like Gringotts and the goblin tunnels. Maybe it's just a goblin dungeon though we find somewhere else?
You wouldn't even need to go get hired anywhere. Games are $65 Just cut your neighbors yard for $20 on 3 different occasions and you should be fine lol if the yard is medium smallish I mean. That's how I'd get my money as I grew up until I got my first actual job to pay for the stuff I wanted

Right like how do you learn that spell and it should be a one hit kill spell and can you learn the other unforgivable curses
You are asking the real questions here!
@@Mr.PR2000 yeah like that should be the most powerful spell in the game that would change combat a lot making your other spells for combat almost useless
@@maxjojo917 Maybe the character does not put too much power on the spell when it is someone who is not so evil and just gives heavy damage.
@@Mr.PR2000 maybe we won't know tell the game is out
This was absolutely incredible.
Yep. There was just so much! So much to break down.
@@RetroRaconteur Yes! Can’t wait for your breakdown :)
No micro transactions tho
It's been confirmed no micro transactions.
GREAT idea.
Sliding or just a bit of a perspective trick. Can't tell with that floor.
Man, that’s the game I always dreamed of having as a kid. Can’t wait to play it!
Yeah, so much new information across the trailer, dev interviews, FAQ, and blog post!
This is just BEAUTIFUL. If they actually deliver on their promises, this game will be the peak of what a Harry Potter game should be.
Why just a peek? Can’t we see the whole game?
Nah, that was always Harry Potter: Find Scabbers. Nothing can truly compete with that classic. XD
@@SuperYtc1 He said peak as in setting the bar very high.
@@SuperYtc1 lmao I meant peak 🤗🤗🤗
@@Mr.PR2000 Nope, he said 'peek'. But he edited it now.
Yes...yes to all of this, lol. So much to break down and discuss. So many questions to answer.
That game had a pretty familiar idea of going to school attending lessons and exploring a surrounding town area and doing quests in your spare time, only in a much more mundane setting than hogwarts
I also think they may incorporate some ideas from the persona series which also has you striking a balance between attending school, getting to know your classmates and exploring the world having adventures.
Most definitely getting to Hogwarts by uber. 100%
Uber made me nose exhale
I love how they decided to implement the unforgivables because they add replayability value.
But I'm pretty sure it's gonna be just an endgame spell.
Imagine using avadakadavra at school or in hogsmead, either it's possible to play the game while avoiding aurors and without attending school or maybe a way to sneak in and do stuff, or it's just plain unbelievable (likd blood magic in dragon age origins and da 2)
Or you can just use them in dungeons if you are alone or with a friend that doesn't care. But there are moments where you actually play alongside the teacher so..
Balance-wise, in the lore you can defend against an avadakadavra by protecting yourself with an object. Since accio is a thing in this game, they can just make the spell animation take a bit of time and the enemy can use accio on a small rock or evade... etc
Pretty sure if you use avada on the castle you'll get a MISSION FAILED or whatever
It's single player, who cares about balance
In a way, this is not a game meant to be challenging, it's just roleplay.
I feel like I Gotta do a Playthrough as an evil Hufflepuff
Been waiting for your reaction bro! Love your content
Appreciate it! LOTS more to come 😁
Hogwarts Legacy Twitter has been super active leading up to this trailer and afterwards they’ve been posting images of models of all house robes on characters. It’s awesome!
If Quidditch isn't in the final game, it very well could be a dlc
0:22 “it’s dark, man. It’s dark..”
*lumos* ✨
This may not be the place to say it, but I wonder if the game will feature a sort of a prologue section. Not a character creator (we already know that's in), but a part that will include maybe some small choices and quests that will help define our character a bit before we actually step foot into Hogwarts. Sort of like "childhood" in the Fable series.
Not that I want are character to begin as a child and warp forward to a teen-ager. It's just I think it would be nice if there were some small choices and quests and story beats at the beginning of the game that might shape and show our character leaning slightly more towards either goodness or evil.
Also during fighting seens they confirmed destruction physics, the trees were blowing up walls being broke crates and barrels easily missed

It is so much better than I could have even imagined. I had high expectations and this gameplay and their passion blew me away! I was in tears..
I will die for that house elf that showed us the newt's case thing. Also I wounder if the curse that Syltherin boy that is mother is dealing with could be a maladictus like Nagni.
I absolutely LOVE Deek the House Elf. Already feels like he's going to be a fan favorite.
What I haven't seen anyone mention: the boy at 1:58 is red headed. Maybe a Weasley? They are one of the original wizarding families so it would make sense.
Biggest concerns I've heard is not knowing how combat works due to a lack of a HUD (its probably hidden to be more cinematic or it isn't finalized yet) and the timers on things in the room of requirements making people think they're going to monetize those (let's be honest, timers have existed in games since any simulation style game has existed without being monetized so it's not something to really fret over)
Meanwhile my biggest concern is the weird audio cut between "who is that chil-what are you not telling me?"
And also, is this a year 5 only story or a 5-7 story
I dunno why people think multi-player was gunna be a thing though, it being single-player was all but confirmed iirc
Actually scratch that it is 100% confirmed single-player in their official FAQ with no co-op
Good news is they also confirmed no micro transactions in the FAQ!
Would be incredible.
I flipped out when they showed the killing curse. Can’t wait to see if the other forbidden curses are in the game.
YES!!! Finger's crossed on a collector's edition.
If there's one thing I'm disappointed in, it's that it took me four times watching the SOP to even realize one of the things I'm excited for- the fact that we don't have a silent protagonist
Man I thought Elden Ring wouldn’t have much competition for GOTY… then this State of Play came out. I can’t wait.
Hope this gets 90+ on Metacrtic when released and if so I think it will be the biggest selling game ever i'm sure!!.... good to see the Quidditch tease in that trailer and hopefully maybe Diagon Alley as Gringotts was also featured?!!! 🧙
This game looks SOOOO good! Loved being there watching the announcement with you Retro! Super excited for all the videos to come!
Thank you! Exciting times.
Nice!!! And you're totally right. So many of us have been imagining a game like this in our heads for a long time.
It's not specifically Gringotts, it could very well be a goblin dungeon/stronghold. Goblins obviously have a major role in this game
Just stupefied. So pumped, looks like they took their time and made it special.
Maybe like an enchanted dungeon or tower that you progress through the floors and they get harder and harder,
I hope so!
Oh my god, this is literally my dream game. It's blowing my mind, the game looks so incredible and massive. Only thing I'm slightly disappointed about is no mention of quidditch, but the game itself is gonna be amazing. I just hope there's some distance between it and starfield lol, cause they're both around holiday time
There will be quidditch if there’s broom riding.. guaranteed
I couldn't stop lauging whenever something happened he goes '___ Confirmed!' XD.

Hahahaha. YES!!!
I don't know if they talked about it, but I do hope they'll let you become an animagus. It'd be my dream come true. I will be completely lost in this game for months on end, or more
Am i the only one who cried at the end ? Its finally here i cant wait for the holidays!!!!!🎉🎄🎉
Imagine them showing us full scale quidditch trailer that’s like 5 minutes👀
It was morning here when it came out... I missed my 5am run... that's the only time I can somehow fit in a workout. but man oh man it was worth it! you've been hinting us about goblins and merlin I guess... I also mentioned goblins before.
Also i find it weird that a different person in gameplay put sorting hat on student than in the trailer. In trailer there was 2 guys standing there. In gameplay there was one guy and one lady. And ladyvput on sorting hat. Maybe that confirms Mole is headmistress
1:37 flying object, GOLDEN SNITCH ?
I hope they include things like collecting wizard cards gobstones, and wizard chess.
Special thank you to the folks that made those videos too!!! Because HOLY FU--!
Also if you collect gold in the game would your gringots bank gold pile grow bigger and bigger with each visit
Fable 3 did that kind of thing so it’s totally feasible
My favourite part about this was watching Rets reactions lol.
There is so many little clues in the gameplay, I don't even know where to look
Hahaha. Thank you! It was a blast to experience, that's for sure 😄

Now I'm worried about microtransactions in the Room of Requirement section (I saw those timers), but on the whole it looks really great. I just home my PC is up to the task.
According to the FAQ on the offic8al website, there are no microtransactions and no in game purchases
@@dylanmcleod3405 Yeah, I read that, so that's promising.
Yeah I was a bit worried ar first, but after reading the FAQ I'm pretty sure those are just regular timers to stop you being able to just farm to much equipment, fingers crossed they stick to there promises on this one.
I think the MC is descended from Merlin that's why they are so powerful
No trailer is copyrighted, I've watched hundreds of of reactions to them, music included!
Since it takes place in 1890 ( from what we heard ) It might mean we can see Dumbledore in his first year.
We would see him if we progress to our 7th year. We know we start the game in year 5, but it's unknown how many years will pass over the course of the game.
@@RetroRaconteur OR they are planning that for the sequels! I mean come on, as your other videos said, they have future plans! It fits perfectly.
Your excitement is contagious Retro!!
Thank you, Steph! The hype is real!!!! 😄 😄 😄
Can't wait for this
Same here, Stephen! We've waited so long.
Edit:
Also a mod that allows you to use your microphone to cast a spell. So saying “Avada kedavra” will cast that spell. This could probably also be achieved with voice attack (software) and may not be very useful in combat. But it can be fun within the puzzle stages of the game.
how do i get this game on pc because preorder link you can't buy pc
I'm sure it will be up in the coming weeks/months leading up to launch, likely on Steam is my guess.
I hope there will be an online mmo mode in the future to play after the story singleplayer with his friends and to meet and duel other people
they can take all the time they need. the game seems enorumous and endlessly complex. it will be well worth the wait even if they aer forced to postpone

Wow, it is. It's going to sell a lot more now.
1st: the good natured brave and good Gryffindor.
2nd: the evil Slytherin jackass.
3rd: the one I really want, the self insert Ravenclaw.
i just noticed that we didn’t see the main “villain” in the state of play that was in the trailer, im wondering what’s up with that…
also i was thinking theirs gringotts because they were on that rail system but i saw ollivanders in hogsmeade when they were highlighting that section, so is gringotts going to be in hogsmeade too? or was that clip from the character possible getting money at the beg of the game like harry?
It's possible the goblin Ranrok could be the main villain? I need to think more about if that's Gringotts or not. It's definitely modeled to look like Gringotts and the goblin tunnels. Maybe it's just a goblin dungeon though we find somewhere else?
@@RetroRaconteur that’s a good point, yeah it could just be a goblin area
