China's COMAC will be bigger than Boeing and Airbus, combined, by 2040.

  • COMAC is a Chinese manufacturer of passenger aircraft, and its flagship plane is the C919, a rival to Boeing's 737 and the Airbus 320.
China has ambitions for COMAC to be globally competitive in the industry, and feels optimistic that the C919 will grab large market share in the fastest-growing markets in the developing world, and naturally inside China itself.
But recent problems at Boeing and Airbus are causing industrywide issues in availability for aircraft, parts, and even skilled technicians and mechanics. COMAC's growth plans will accelerate, and result in the same domination in aerospace that similar Chinese firms now enjoy in high-speed rail, shipping and maritime industries, and cars.

As Boeing is using more Hindian engineers and chasing away the Chinese engineers, this is what Boeing gets.
This is actually a good thing for China though, former Boeing's Chinese engineers are now working for China's aircraft industry.
This situation is not just happening in Boeing but also in many other American companies and industry sectors in USA.
As Hindian employees manipulating American companies and chasing off the Chinese employees so more Hindians taking over the Chinese positions in the American companies, the quality of American companies are going down. This is happening everywhere in USA, not just at Boeing.
The White House's scare tactic on China is also working against the Chinese employees in American companies with national security concerns, so they rather hire Hindians than Chinese, because Hindia is an alliance to the USA government.

70% of COMAC (after some googling) parts are from the same western suppliers which Boeing and Airbus use. C919 obviously was the plane that had home grown engine! the Y20 transporter has home grown engine! the J20 has the new engine!!! thats 2 - 3 NEW home grown jet engines!! The J35 WILL have a new engine!!!!
Where is the dude getting his "knowledge!" "Intel!" obviously rhetorical! i know where hes grabbing his intel like the entire West! out of their ass!

Boeing has lost its reputation and its not coming back for a very long time even if they manage to fix the issues. They can't blame it on a certain model and even more damaging, they can't blame the pilots.
In fact due to the issues happening and what they did to whistleblowers, pilots blamed by Boeing prior could very well had been innocent

An almost certainty. In the US "Money Talks", and Boeing (with plenty of Government money), will certainly have a means to "adjust" findings of the FAA and NTSB in their favour. Hence you'll notice the US's preponderance of "Pilot Error" claims in Boeing crashes, vs. "Aircraft construction / design faults" in Airbus crashes? There is a LOT of evidence to support this, especially the massively over-inflated claims about the "severe risk" posed by a SINGLE engine failure back in the early days of the A380.

This hardest than space progamme. China has difficulty in this field. semi chips and engines of jet are the hardest in the world.
china needs a version of 777 of boeing or a350, china will takes years .. but china strategy is differnt. they focus on the regional jets and medium.. these are the most using planes. After c929 and c939.
china is now dominating the ships building industry more than half the world. And 90% of the world high speed trains. . plane next.. china dominate with communication system huawei... even Ev too.
The problems with western mindset is zero sum game. America can easy beat china in many top fields, like chips, airplane and innovations etc. But they are so stupid by trying to cut out of the cake and don't let china eat any of it.
if you look at the uk, they are contributing about 30% of the world supply for areospace industries but they don't build air plane, they supply engines, avionic, services etc... they sell off shelves production to airbus and boeings and other smaller firms etc..
America can still control the 50% or 40% of the world areospace industries if they are just focus on sell products as parts and components to china and everyone in the world. and use the money on development and innovation. A company without innovation will perish.. look at past. ..even a country without innovation will perish too. ..look native america, oborginals etc..
America should use the chinese strategy. it is the best methods in the 21st century..
america has to accept china is not like any country on the planet. historically chinese are the most advance and civil people in the world. they are extremely intelligent and hard working.. they like to trade, not politics or ideology..
china is going to beat everyone in the world to by number one , once again. Nobody can stop it. peace

COMAC will be busy for a long while because it has received >1000 orders of its C919 and it has only built 7 of them. Therefore, the certification from US and EU will not impact its near term growth plan. But, China's ability to expand production with good quality control can not be underestimated. Just look at how quickly they become #1 ship building. China takes a approach that it will solve every engineering problem standing in its way with patience. This attitude is most fearful because Western companies can not afford to do this due to their quarterly financial reports. The short term profits are the most important to the shareholders. So, we are blaming Boeing for its short cuts for profits and time to market, it is the system we have causing it. No CEO can save it.

The U.K. originally was in the forefront of aviation. In 1949, it was the country that produced the world's first commercial jetliner - and why not, when it was the country that first proposed the idea of a jet engine in the 1940s (see: Sir Frank Whittle). The BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) first flew the De Havilland Comet designed and manufactured in the U.K. using four turbojet engines in 1952. The British were thus leading the way ahead of the Americans.
However, a design flaw in the sleek airliner saw a series of mysterious crashes beginning to occur - the reason being only discovered after several accidents found in the design of the passenger windows. In an effort to provide passengers with more viewing area and to enhance the looks of the plane, the windows were designed square. Unfortunately, when the planes hit the low air pressure layer of the atmosphere, the internal pressure stresses on the sharp window corners caused an internal blowout to occur. The sudden depressurization broke the planes up in mid-air. This is why all jetliners today have rounded windows. The accidents spelt the end of the de Havilland Comet as it never recovered from the spate of crashes and allowed a "newcomer" from its rival - the U.S. - to step in and replace the U.K. in commercial planes.
Will we see a repeating of history now with China being the "newcomer" to commercial aviation planes and Boeing's own self-inflicted wounds?

@@George-k6o9t The UK is also the country that made the fastest commercial jet liner in the world, then one crash and the plane is retired it was called the Concorde, yet the 747 outlived the Concorde to say being the fastest doesn’t fit the bill, the co-operation between Britain and France will give the effort of British engineering and France by design or vice versa doesn’t mean giggly squat after the Concorde first crash.
This gave the for Asian competitors, to compete against Boeing to say it all the Spacejet project being postponed and COMAC getting into launch with the C919, the problem hitting the US with China is going in favor of their allies so this Boeing incident is becoming like a Pearl Harbor 2.0 waiting for disaster but with a Japanese victory, just to say Japan is the US ally in the Far East, but this will effect Boeing in the long run to say it all; Boeing’s reputation is going down the drain while Airbus is becoming a success and yet the formation of Airbus Korea will succeed and then the type of Pearl Harbor will be letting a Japanese competitor into the US market, so layoff will be at Boeing and the Japanese victory is that either Honda or Mitsubishi replaces Boeing to say Boeing going to the fate of a bankruptcy by leaving Lockheed Martin the only company that makes war planes.
To say this I love to protect the American industry but yet I love to see Lockheed gets a wake up call to compete with Boeing and I bet that Lockheed could outshine Boeing to say I believe they the L1011 TriStar could outshine Boeing nowadays and that also to include Southwest Airlines that Boeing loses it’s clientele to Lockheed to say all Southwest planes will be L1011s instead of 737s.
But sadly Boeing is shootings themselves in the foot or better yet they are playing Russian Roulette.

China just implemented a salary cap of US$400,000 for finance professionals. This cap is 30 times the nominal GDP per capita of China.
The salary cap makes for a more equitable society. It also incentivises managers towards long term planning and investments, instead of focusing on short term, high risk financial engineering.
engineering to drive the stock price up.

At last this video confirms my expectation. Comac Will grow exponentially because China’s travel industry will need thousands of planes in the coming decades and also in the developing countries where the economy will grow following China’s growth. Saudi Arabia is showing interests in setting up a factory for C919 for the Middle East as there will be a tremendous demand for C919 to replace all the Boeing and Airbus planes. Price and quality wise the C919 will win the market which will also be driven by a political move to the east. Indonesia has set an example by flying the Comac ARJ21 for its regional routes. Many will follow its steps.

In the 1980s I was part of Lockheed’s test flight team in China. I translated an engineering conference at the Ministry of Aviation. Later I was FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative assigned to ShenYang Aircraft Corp
We advised the Ministry of Aviation on the restructuring they needed in order for Chinese made aircraft to get international certification
In the U.S., the FAA is the regulator and Boeing is a manufacturer. But in China the Ministry of Aviation was BOTH regulator AND manufacturer.

China's current use of foreign imported avionics, engines & parts in the C919 will help to expedite certification of the aircraft. The EU inspectors will have knowledge on the integration & operation of these similar components in previous Airbus & Boeing aircraft.

With reduced demand from newer markets, perhaps it will give Boeing and Airbus to catch up with their production.

and come up with IMPROVEMENTS and more ADVANCED planes of the future! Not by reusing the old 737 airframe in different variations to "save money on R&D". When you think of it - our jet age era has NOT seen a large increase in airplane speeds - except for a brief, short period when the Concord flew - and after that, it's back to the 'horse and buggy" of the skies with an average speed of 575 - 600 mph. This has been the average speed for DECADES now for our commercial planes.

I think it is unlikely that the EU will certify any sooner for simple political reason.Although EU airplanes are in dire need for new planes, the EU will not be able fast track the certification if the US won't allow it.
