I have NEVER drawn eyes this good in my life. Thank you so so much Shyfoxx! I am absolutely loving these real time tutorials. It is making learning so much easier because it is easy to follow along and your explanations are great!
I've never done a draw-along, glad I did for this one. Especially because I've been struggling to learn the basics when it comes to eyes. This was such a good learning experience! now I feel a bit more confident knowing I was able to draw some nice looking eyes, feels like a good baseline going forward. Thanks for the tutorial!
Amazing tutorial, even though my eyes are shaped differently I still applied a lot of your guidance and I'm really happy with how they turned out and I wouldn't have achieved it without you + I love to play with the color layer mode
This is actually one of the most beautiful and incredible looking eye designs I've ever seen! Wow! 😍 The gradient shades make all the difference! And the part about duplicating the highlights layer and adding blur for a glow effect was amazing! This is my favorite eye tutorial that I've seen yet! Incredible work! 👍😃
Thank you as always for your tutorials Shyfoxx! I love learning your techniques and how to better utilize clip studio paint! I hope you'll consider showing us even more of your techniques on this lovely pic ♡
I'm so jealous of good artists, like you. I recently bought my drawing tablet, and started drawing, and i think anatomy and lineart are the hardest for me. This kinda helped me to do nice looking eyes, and i'm glad i clicked onb this video!
Been practicing drawing for probably 3-4 months now and the things you've described almost match with some of my techniques although I am not very good at it lol. Thank you for showing this, I needed some more advice on how to go further with some of my drawings. I always have a hard time drawing the female anime head and getting proportions right. Thanks again! :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I went from absolutely horrible at drawing eyes to instantly quite satisfactory! I already have some experience drawing, but mostly copying, and while your eyes design was mostly copied, it gave me a basis to how to approach drawing. One of the biggest contributions to my progress, aside from this video of course, was I'm now a digital artist. Previously, I have only drawn on paper with just pencil/pen no color, and this is my first true success introducing color to my art, and I'm very pleased! Again, all in part to your wonderful guide. I do admit to watching at 2x speed, but since its a video I was able to slow down or speed up parts. So again, thank you for including the entire process!
This was a fun video to watch. Thank you for sharing! 😊 I have a suggestion for a future video. I would love to see a video on how to paint different types of *blushing* on anime characters. Probably the cutest thing about anime characters that everybody can appreciate is the *blushing*. I’m sure there’s many different ways to paint blush on a character and I’m certain all of these ways look super adorable. Thank you for all of the lovely videos that you’ve shared with us on this channel ☺️🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this tutorial and explanations of what you’re doing! I’m not an artist at all but I’ve been wanting to get into digital art (as a hobby). Mine turned out so much better than I expected thanks to you! Followed along with my iPad+procreate!
this comment will probably not get seen as this is an old video but thankyou for posting this. as someone who has never drawn in his life and is new to clip art studio this was a great tutorial and really helped.
Have you ever thought of having a link of the base of your drawing (the head/neck) for people to use to draw along with you? I’ve watched another video on hair color/shading where they provided the base so you could practice along with them.
Good timing lol. I struggle a lot with the opposite eye in perspective usually. Edit : the part where you added the colours just made me excited. Wow, there's soo much possibility!
@@Shyfoxx it was a blast doing this tut today. I got lost experimenting with colours as usual. Thank you so much. I'm tackling the hair next so wish me luck!
I am learning to draw and this was a huge help over the basic outline stuff I've been looking at, so thank you! I do have a question about Clip Studio that I cant seem to find an answer to, though. What does clipping layers do? I can see what it does, but I cant explain its effects. Its difficult for me to know how to use something effectively without being able to understand it. Also, I noticed that you didnt use the fill tool or the symmetry ruler at all. Is that just based on preference?
Glad it helped! If you want a good explination on layers and the clipping tool then I recommend this video specifically about layers: ruclips.net/video/3Q9fyG0LFqs/видео.htmlsi=n0l5e27jURNY1Gep I don't personally use the symmetry ruler. I definitely will use the fill tool but I guess I didn't on this particular day.
this tutorial was very helpful I tried to make it on my phone on ibis paint it turned out better than I expected. but the pixels were not so good and the brushes didn't give the right texture either
Hi shyfoxx... i am so glad i found your channel... i am a true beginner in the digital art and maybe you can help me... i am using clip paint pro like you on a huion kamwas 13... i am struggling to set it up on Windows 11... i connect all, drag clip paint pro on my huion bit if i try to use the pen... the pointer jumps on my monitor and act like a mouse pointer... do you can help me? Sorry for my bad english
Hi there! I have a video explaining what to do when your pen is drawing on the wrong monitor. Hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/skpibSKf9Dg/видео.htmlsi=P31rDIWLHY8Fs96a
@@Shyfoxx SOLVED!!! A guy in your video has posted a commentary about the settings for Huion. I am so thankfull for your link, finally i can begin drawing on my PC.
No, I find if I want eyes to be exactly symmetrical I'll copy paste as I dont like how it feels to draw both at the same time. So a bit of a personal preference but in general I think eyes need slight variations and not be identical.
18:57 could oy please explain why we do this. of course they seem more beautiful after doing this but why? are they making it more 3D or add light and shadow or what, why bottom is brighther,
It's a lighting thing. Towards the bottom should be lighter. Light sources generally are from above and the upper eye lid and lashes cause more shadow. Another reason is simply that it looks good.
It's the default 'pencil' that comes with CSP. I reset my program back to defaults so that I wouldn't have any fancy brushes or weird settings. Any pencil brush will work just fine in my opinion.
There could be several reasons. Your art tablet/drawing devices settings may impact that based on the sensitivity of pen pressure. Make sure your pen pressure is working. And try different brushes, look at brush settings for 'pen tip'
HI! I have a question, when you create a new canvas you unckecd the "paper color" so there won't be a "base color" there but when you create the new canvas is set to Grey. When i do that my "base color" is transparent so i need to check the "paper color" box again and set the base color to grey in order to follow your steps...
The background color isn't super important to follow the rest of the tutorial.
