I often get emotional watching your videos. Everything is so beautiful; and not just the sights. It is your attitude, perspective, and overall journey that I think leaves me yearning for something more. Godspeed.
We like Kimberly and her laugh!!!! 1960's flower child.... and that is a MAJOR compliment however you were likely born in 2001 or something...lol.. but you get my point
You made this dive sound enticing in the last episode and it did not disappoint ! It was a visually stunning magic world of coral homes to all beautiful fish, the angel, cute pufferfish , the yellow & black fish. The huge living blue lined clamshells were gorgeous. Then when you surface its rare that the beauty matches, but it does here ! Thank you for sharing this amazing piece of paradise not lost.🐟 I Love your Trespassers Review !!That was a Good one, with the shack & its restaurant !! Really looking forward to you showing off~~ Bora Bora !! So nice they named it twice ?
One of the most fortunate men I have seen. Made it happen, though. Not easy to do this at all. I have seen French Poly, and nothing I have seen came close.
aye aye cappen you've totally out done yourself with this one James , absolutely stunning ,, love the island tours it's the jewel after the passage ....that boat of yours has paid for its self ten fold.. eat, sleep sail repeat 🌴🌴🌴☀️⛵
When we chartered in Raiatea in Jan 2020, we totally missed the Coral Garden. We used GPS and it put us about 100 meters farther West and the coral was all dead :-). Good to see that we just missed the site and that its not dead. But the BEST snorkeling is down the West side of Raiatea where the Anapa Pearl Farm is. The reef is absolutely beautiful there. Better than anywhere we have seen in the world.
The colors of everything underwater was amazing! The blue giant coral clams were beautiful. Never seen such bright blue, couldn't imagine in person. Makes me want to buy a boat and learn sailing.
What’s up man, can’t thank you enough! I feel like you personally have introduced me to what I really would like to do in life, Sail around the world! I’ve got a lot to learn an a lot to do before then but I have all the ambition! I get butterflies when I watch your videos, thank you again man. Keep up the great work an safe travels!
So crazy to think when you go sailing at 5 knots that if you just keep going at 5 knots and put enough hours together eventually you end up in Bora Bora! So awesome to watch your videos and follow you on your travels.
I have been binge watching your videos for days now! This is the best video I’ve seen of yours! What a amazing place that is! Thank you so much for letting me feel like I’m there with you! Absolutely amazing!!
Wow James, this was one of the most beautiful places we've seen so far! Loved how clear the water was and all the blue clams, so cool. That absurdly close anchoring would definitely rub me the wrong way, glad you've gotten used to it tho and don't let it bother you. Looking forward to the rest of the French Polynesia adventure and beyond! May fair winds be with you my friend!🌬⛵
I thought they were snake-like things, but actually I think they are part of the opening of a clam, which is seen more clearly at 7:24. I gotta go and see some of this stuff. Blows my mind.
Astonishingly sublime, Mondays are our trip to paradise with yourself James showing us the way, absolutely stunning. Looking forward to Bora Bora. Safe travels out there James, sending positive vibes and energy from the Emerald Isle....Neil.
Wow beautiful corals garden , thanks for sharing. Its amazing seeing of the beauty .Sailing so educational around the world ⛵️ 🌎 Dont forget to stop in Chagos islands located in the Indian Ocean, before the Madagascar. Chagos islands 🏝 🌴 extremely beautiful, belong to England 🇬🇧. Fear winds and the best of luck .I know you now in Zealand 🇳🇿 I 'm watching all the sailors from 57 different countries where sailing around the world ⛵️ 🌎 I'm leaving in couple months, by Bristol Channel cutter wooden classic design sailboat she so pretty the mostly popular in France 🇫🇷 and England 🇬🇧 Bristol Channel cutter wooden classic design sailboat ⛵️
Nice shots 👍you should go to penryn in the cooks my mate cooky he grew up there his dad was American and mum cook islander he is a decendant if James cook his dad got shipwrecked at penryn there in his boat in the late 60s and had no communication with the rest of the islands and world for 2 yrs 👍
Hi James, another great video... If the Med is in your plans to visit, wait until you get to Greece during high season. Sailed there last summer and it was packed! Fortunately, no incidents where I was, even during strong meltemi blows. As per the resort... it sure looks very nice but, check the rates and probably that will answer the question why it was so empty 😀. Thanks for sharing your adventures! Fair winds
Hi James thanks so much for your videos and content absolutely awesome much appreciated.I’ve been to FP 3 times in the last 5 years my favorite place on earth now been to all the islands in Caribbean and in my eyes just can’t compare to FP. what has been your favorite place in FP so far, I think mine is Tetiaroa just a very special place. Enjoy BORA BORA and hopefully you will get to see MAUPITI one question how dose FIGI measure up to French Polynesia
Thank you for sharing James. I have watched some other vids that show the Coral Gardens on Taha’a, but your vid is likely the best I’ve seen. I am hoping to go there this summer ~ I understand that July / August timeframe may be the best time to visit, as the precip is the least at that time. Glad you showed the path at the gardens ~ that looks like the way to do ‘er. 👍
I was just telling an old friend yesterday that her and her husband should book a trip to this resort, it’s not as touristy and the snorkeling is unmatched !!! You will have a great time !
@@SailorJames Thanks for your reply James ~ much appreciated. I’m not a sailor, but I do have a huge credit voucher on United Airlines. That means free airfare from my home to papaeete. From there, Air Tahiti offers multi-island hops including a flight to Raiatea. From Raiatea it is just a short ferry boat ride to Taha’a. Your vid has inspired me even more to make this trip in July ~ and you can bet that I will stay on Taha’a long enough to snorkel those gorgeous Coral Gardens several times (in both directions, as you mentioned) ! 😎
Love your channel. Curious as to if you have come across any pollution or plastic debris in your travels. Just read about Bali beaches being significantly polluted.
that! 4:20 to 8:20 .. Epic !! i've never seen so many/Much of every kind of life looks so healthy, Great Man ! btw between 1500. + and 3300.+ a night at those resorts... US$$
James I admire your restraint when speaking about the encroachment of charter boats and their poor choices when it comes to anchoring.... Not often you show that side, but you said it so well without any directed anger shall we say...lol... This is YOUR life, and for those folks to put you and your vessel in potential danger (seemingly over and over) is not nice shall we say. You really said it well and any earthling (my pronoun) choosing to travel via the sea would understand what you risk!!! Well put. Class act as usual. I sometimes wonder if you even read the comments, but I leave them to help your cause!!!!!! dam tourists!!! HAHHAHAH ... kidding... just go drop anchor not so darn close to me!!!!
Yeah it’s a learned skill that I have developed. It makes life much easier but I can still handle my business when people put me at risk. I totally read the comments and try to keep up and respond when I can, sometimes it’s not possible but I always read them unless I am on passage, thanks for leaving one 👍🏻🙏🏻
When other boaters are absurdly close to me I moon em, no joke. If you're close enough to see all that, you're tooo close. Also, when I'm at anchor and a powerboat goes by creating a huge swell sending me rocking, while trying to cook or shower. . . A-holes.
Sailing Kooks...man I respect your patience with the catamaran/condo so close. I don't have that in me yet (there's still hope?). I get super frustrated with that type of ignorance/arrogance. Weekend warriors with no concept or experience of how situations can turn serious as nature chooses.
Another great video James! Very beautiful Islands! What part of the US are you from? Stay safe and long may your big jib draw! From the east coast of Canada 🇨🇦
Maupiti is worth the stop, as is Suwarrow and Pukapuka. If they won't let you in to Suwarrow, can you stop at Pukapuka? Amazing villages and like stepping back into time... you won't find fuel (always a shortage in the Northern Cooks), but should be able to get fish from one of the local viillages.
Didn’t end up stopping at Maupiti but had friends who stopped, looked awesome. I tried to visit Suwarrow and they wouldnt allow me to to because it’s still closed.
Curious as to whether you anchor in more shallow water. I have an Alberg 30 on the Potomac River, different situation with mud bottom, but I'm usually anchoring in 10 or less feet of water, is it not possible or advisable to do that where you are sailing and why? Thanks for the videos, I'm learning alot!
In atolls the waters go from 20ft to like 4ft very quickly so it depends on where you are. If you anchor too close to the shallows and the wind shifts you can quickly be aground not to mention all the coral bommies. In Southern California I often had to anchor in 40-60ft of depth, in French Poly it was anywhere between 10ft-40ft and in NZ I have anchored with as little as 2ft below the keel with mud. So it changes as you move around the world.
That puffer fish sure looked like one of the happiest puffers I've ever seen. That place looks amazing.
I love them, they always make me smile along with them 😂
Aren't puffer fish always happy 🤨, I need to go sailing on day so I can see amazing places like this
The puffer looked like "mess around and find out my secret trick Mr Human."
I often get emotional watching your videos. Everything is so beautiful; and not just the sights. It is your attitude, perspective, and overall journey that I think leaves me yearning for something more. Godspeed.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Soooooo beautiful 🤯 thank you for sharing these insanely beautiful places!
why does this comment say 4 weeks ago?
We like Kimberly and her laugh!!!! 1960's flower child.... and that is a MAJOR compliment however you were likely born in 2001 or something...lol.. but you get my point
That snap at exactly 7:55 is insane... 2 worlds colliding!! Awesome shot my brother.
Yes!
Beautiful coral. As a diver, we see struggling coral mostly. Thank you James !
Wow wow wow, I can't find the words... this place is dream you don't want to wake up. Beautiful place
So stunning 🌺 We hope you stay a long time in the South Seas. No other place you could take us is as magical !!
06:45 This chap really seemed to enjoy your presence, looked so happy.
That shot of the corals and the trees at the same time was awesome, what an epic spot
The best youtuber in 2024 🤙
WOW, this looks painfully beautiful. Thanks for sharing and keeping some hope alive.
I'm adding "vibing with a charismatic pufferfish" to my list of goals now 👌

Water is sooo clear. Imagine Newmarks after a month of rain. That's what you're missing. Great ska/reggae music.
One of the most fortunate men I have seen. Made it happen, though. Not easy to do this at all. I have seen French Poly, and nothing I have seen came close.

The colors of everything underwater was amazing! The blue giant coral clams were beautiful. Never seen such bright blue, couldn't imagine in person. Makes me want to buy a boat and learn sailing.
Great video. The color of the ocean changes depending on the angle of the Sun. Blue/Green etc. Beautiful and mesmerizing.
looking forward to the sail i bet
Good call with the reviews.I have never heard of that area, Taha, (just BORA BORA). I will put it on our bucket list. Thank you.

So crazy to think when you go sailing at 5 knots that if you just keep going at 5 knots and put enough hours together eventually you end up in Bora Bora! So awesome to watch your videos and follow you on your travels.
Yeah I always say imagine asking a friend “hey do you want to drive 8000 miles at 5mph?” 😂😂😂
@6:42 cute fish!
Definitely a lovely place love the content james
Incredible snorkeling!
Dude! It was like being in a video game, almost like flying because of the strong current and all the coral to navigate through!
Spectacular water, and sea life . Why would anyone want to leave.
Awesome James.

Hi James just found your channel Wow!! Thank you so much I love it!!!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
looking forward to the Cook Island trespass review)
7:35 Wow, what the heck is that (the blue thing)? Not a color one sees in nature often. And it doesn't blend, which is unusual, too. Amazing.
I thought they were snake-like things, but actually I think they are part of the opening of a clam, which is seen more clearly at 7:24. I gotta go and see some of this stuff. Blows my mind.
Another great passage and beautiful video footage! Thanks so much for letting us share in your journey!
Beautiful❤

Good stuff James.... You need to change your intro.... Triteia badge to 2023😂... Beautiful seas that
😂 all the videos shot in 2022 will have that logo
Passed you coming out of Opua today. Hope you get a few good days in the BOI. This summers weathers been pretty crap !

Actually the rates for most of the resorts that are not at Bora Bora are comparable to a shitty hotel in America.
James this is stunning unbelievably beautiful wow fantastic experience 🔥
Really amazing place !

My favorite place in French Polynesia was either Moorea or Raiatea. Fiji is unbelievable. A very different vibe, way less touristy and raw.
Awesome ..
Good one!
Thanks!
thanks for your trespasser's reviews ha

Looks a great spot 👌
It was amazing
The water is so amazingly clear. No pollution?
Looking forward to the content from the long passage to American Samoa.
Gorgeous
Love your channel. Curious as to if you have come across any pollution or plastic debris in your travels. Just read about Bali beaches being significantly polluted.
Yes of course, there is plastic everywhere, worst place I saw was on the windward side of Naviti Island in Fiji
Nice!!!
I watch your videos to forget how shitty the weather is here in Scandinavia during winter.
My heart always hurts for my friends in cold climates when I see them hauling out for winter

Nope

This was filmed in September
