I don't know where any of y'all live of course but where I live, a lot of kids with parents in law enforcement actually do more illegal things than kids with no law enforcement parent because the kids with a parent in law enforcement think they can get away with things more easily
If I had a kid that drank and drove I'd throw them in jail for longer as kenji said. I can't ever get behind drunk driving, I lose all respect for someone when they say they drank and drove

Guys, don’t be afraid to call your parents if you’re not capable of driving. I was once drugged after going to hang out with coworkers after I worked a 12+hr shift. I only had 2 shots of Fernet(17% abv for the whole bottle) drank my water and 20 minutes later I could barely walk/talk. I called my mom and a friend stayed with me in my car until she got there, bc they lived so close it didn’t make sense for them to drive me 45mins away to mine and moms house. My mom wasn’t mad even though it was like 1am, bc she thought I would’ve died/killed someone if I wasn’t able to call her in time.
i work in a pub and the amount of people who drive after drinking is mad. there was group of guys kicking off one night and one of them was threatening to get in his car and leave despite being very drunk, his friends actually had to stop him and take his keys off of him cause my manager was threatening to call the police.
The last one happened in Russellville AR on the side of I-40, and he was pulled over by the state troopers, who have a really nasty track record, even nastier to people of color. Source, I'm from Arkansas and have witnessed my fair share of these interactions.

Wow. I like how the cops in the first one were worried the dad might start covering for his daughter, but he was so gung ho about trying to figure out if the "You home" text was when she hit the pole they had to ask him not to not step on the integrity of the investigation.
This is crazy how they’re using their parents as a defense mechanism to get out of trouble. Bruh I got into a car accident on September 10th and didn’t go to school September 11th. But I still went to school on September 12 because I missed so much shit on September 11. I have a bruised arm but everyone is fine. I was in the passenger seat and my door was pushed into me. I was hurt more than the driver but I was fine even after having a full panic attack. Honestly being in a car attack was kinda crazy
8:02 Listen…..I always thought I wouldn’t break if my child was crying and calling for me but then i started babysitting for my friends all the time and one time one of my friends was hospitalized and I spent a week at her place taking care of her 3 toddlers and after that experience I know I’d break immediately. They weren’t even my kids but as soon as I hear the words “auntie fairy” coming from a crying child it’s over man. I also raised my little brother and even now as adults if I see or hear my brother in distress I break immediately, I got my ass beat so many times growing up with saving my brother from bullies even if he deserved it cause he could be a little shit often and since he could talk he’s always had this issue with being condescending towards people he doesn’t like or he’s arguing with. I’m similar with my older sister, both of them just need to look me in the eyes and say “mommy can you buy me --“ and I automatically buy it, they call me mommy as kinda a joke because I’ve played the role of mother to both of them. Actually our mother does it to me as well. If I have a child I know that even if i want to be a strong morally correct person I’d break for my child, they killed someone? I’m taking the blame, I’m the murder not my child, any witnesses will be disposed of.
My mother is a unsafe driver (driving fast, pulling illegal moves, etc) but even she wouldn’t drive under the influence and she said she would be really pissed if me and my sister ever get pulled over for driving under the influence
letting your child get away with consequences is how you teach them there aren't any. that's how murderers, thieves, manipulators, and people with no regard for others' safety and boundaries get made.
i remember when my uncle was alive, he had worked at the sheriff's office and did a lot of jobs there and just being related to him got us out of tickets,,, like it wasn't bc we tried to use his name to get out of it, theyd just see our last name on our license and be like "oh! you're related to ______?" and then be like "well have a nice day!" and leave,,, tho tbf the times we got pulled over were for things that ppl usually get off with a warning for anyways like littering or a blown headlight,,,
If my child broke something, I would forgive them bc accidents happen and worry if they are either hurt or injured. BUT, if they were drinking or taking drugs and it happen, I’m not supporting their actions, I wouldn’t hug them or tell everything will be okay because they made a decision.
Ngl I would bail my kid out if it was a minor accident but drunk driving hell naurr no way in hell would I save them they have to suffer their own consequences to their actions
I find it crazy when your related to someone whos in law enforcement, much less your parent, your still gonna act stupid thinking they gonna come and save you, maybe they'd help in a missed red light cause that happens but things like DUI and fleeing the scene, nahh they not gonna help you. Like if my parents were officers, I wouldn't try nothing, even if they were retired, imma have my best behavior on because that is humiliating and embarrassing for the parent
Thing is if it's maybe like you smoke or something small like that you could be let off. Now drinking and driving? No. You're harming someone. As my parents put it, if I my actions harm someone else or could harm someone else, then they'd just going to let me learn a lesson. If it's not that big of a deal then maybe they'd intervene.
It blows my mind how a lot of polices do let their kids get away with stuff like this. Why so many think their police parents will rescue them and let them get away with stuff. It is great to see not every cop will rescue their children and let them learn n suffer their consequences.
Never be afraid to call your parents, friends, whoever to come get you if you have been drinking. I’ve had to call for my parents to get me before. The restaurant I went to made some extra strong margaritas. My dumbass, realizing this, still had 3 large ones. It was embarrassing and to this day my parents still make fun of me for it, but calling them to get me instead of trying to drive was still the best decision and I don’t regret it. Anymore I plan my drinking. Normally if I know I’m gonna have more than 1 drink there’s always a DD. Sometimes I’m the DD so someone else can drink. Or we plan to stay in and stay the night at one person’s place so we can drink no issues. My one friend lives near enough to bars that we can walk to and from his place. We walk over and bar hop, then walk back, play drinking games watch horror flicks and sleep it off. Safe, simple, fun as fuck. 👍
