This was SO much fun to make... Especially to ride along and see how much better Drew's shot was :D Thank you all for watching and for welcoming me into the community!
Congratulations. I've watched the entire series because before I become bedridden from my terminal disease. One of my bucket list items is to learn how to freestyle. I completed my 1st bucket list by sharing my life in 2 documentaries, but to fly manually is itching towards the top. Again Great job! Thank You @RotorRiot By the way what rates did you end up using?
I've finished the whole series today. I started fpv back in October and started with the dive video. I've watched a lot of your videos and have tremendously helped me on my fpv journey. I've been flying drones since 2018 and bought the Avata and Dji fpv October 2023. Much more fun. I think i want a custom drone or rtf one.
Ok so watched this series and got liftoff and just bought this drone wow. Day 2 and all acro doing all the tricks in these videos. Rotor riot did a great job with this. Only drone experience I had before this was a holy stone 720 smh
Hey guys, thanks for the episode. Fun to see the behind the scenes! You talked about lowering the rates for the DJI FPV drone to make its movements smoother. Could you explain briefly what you adjusted the rates to?
I'm always seeing people using their normal rates for cinewhoops but its made to be smooth. so I take all my rates down in the 200s and add lots of expo. that helps me more than anything for cinematic flying. I also turn throttle boost down for more throttle control. And possibly a throttle curve that levels out some around the hover point.
Well if nothing else- your collab with aviator PPG has worked. I am now going from FPV and pursuing PPG. Just spent $4k on a wing from aviator. And I thought my drones were expensive😅. Hopefully we get some new fpv pilots from the PPG world as well.
@@RCRitterFPV 😂😂😂 we’ve been duped. Cheaper than a plane too! We’ve convinced ourselves, convincing the fiancé as I’m also saving for a wedding…. That’s to still be figured out hah

Great Video🔥🔥super cinematic!! I love your episodes and learned so much. I also have the DJI FPV and dont know anything about the rates. Can you tell me/ us the rates you changed? Thanks!!
Very enjoyable and entertaining series. Great work, Eric. (I think you should do an advanced series later - assuming you’re going to stick with the hobby.) With the exception of the last shot (and perhaps the lookup on the wooden model), this could have been done in stabilized mode. I’m new at FPV and did an extensive interior study of a furnished new building with the prop guards in sport mode. A couple of door bumps quickly recovered by position hold. Just a thought. Drib, your flight gave me chills at the moment he dons the rig. You’re an artist!
Thank you sir! I like the idea of an advanced series later. I'm definitely sticking with the hobby. Going to start flying some carbon drones this coming week now that Rotor Riot has air units in stock!
Great flying and really fun series to watch. I only do one takes. Because I am that good? Nah, cause I am too lazy to edit the footage! 😂 Keep up the great work! 👊🏻

Yeah, but you're going to have to remove that carbon fiber frame and 3d print one instead in order to get the true DJI FPV experience (of breaking an arm every time you crash). ahh why didnt you the first bit in sport/ normal mode then flick into acro when you came out ? he hit those gaps in normal easy and smoothly , thats the dji drone best feature is cruising slowly and steadily
@@creationlabsinc.189 The one shown in the video is a kind of hybrid between camera drone and FPV-drone. Flies worse than a FPV drone and has not as good camera as a camera drone. I am tempted to buy my first Rotor Riot FPV. 5 inch of course to see how it compares to my other ones.
I love the one takes, a cinewhoop/log is often used, so that you used the DJI FPV drone for this makes it even more impressive!
