I'm very pleased with all the drivers. There wasn't a bunch of big messed up wrecks or way to aggressive driving. Rain might not be so bad for the races! Great video, very well done.
Nice race Ben you did really well in keeping the car controlled. Some of the guys did a hosted session last night at Sebring just to see how things were with constant heavy rain and it was really hard to keep the car on track. The concentration level needed is crazy. I think they have done a fantastic job of implementing the rain but it's still early days but I think once it is refined it will be even better. It will shake things up and show who can handle a car in all conditions who can't.
That looks absolutely terrifying. You need to have absolute confidence in your own familiarity with the circuit as well as that of your competitors. Because there are clearly plenty of times, especially early on, when your brain has to have gone: "Uhh, Ben... Where is the track??" Well done on a clean, very solid race and a wonderful podium finish!
I know everyone is excited and distracted with the weather system, but can we just take a second to acknowledge how awesome Algarve/Portimao is? I've been begging for this track for a couple years now, and I'm so excited to finally have it in iRacing. It's flowy, technical, and challenging. It provides some really good racing with a lot of hard braking and multiple fast lines through several sections. What more can you ask for in a circuit?
That view (or rather, lack of it) is terrifying! You did really well to start at the sharp end, can’t imagine what it’s like trying to survive lap 1 in the middle of the pack!
i raced GT3's on the nordschleiffe yesterday and it was maybe my favourite race ever. there was so much chaos but i think thatll improve as people get used to racing in the rain. You're right. it was harder than i was expecting.
Great video mate, love the replays! This new Tempest system is nothing short of amazing! BTW Have you tried the wet tires on a dry track, theres something special going on there!
The weather stuff seems great simulation-wise, but I'm very unimpressed with it graphically if your settings are somewhat representable. On the windscreen it looks much more like sleet or hail than rain, and the overall graphical impression is very early-2000s. Doesn't look liquid at all.
Having that track really takes me back to when i was just getting started with sim racing in Raceroom!

YES! It looks beautiful too - really enjoyable and it will be across a bunch of car classes too!

Great drive, Ben. Tidy all throughout! Banger of a video.
Your commentary and editing is really good. U should do top 10 clips and do commentary over them
Samsung-CraigJones-Portimao section makes this my favorite track
I've not had time to try it out yet. You made it look easy. I suspect I might spend quite a bit of time trying to find my way back to the black stuff.
this looks amazing and terrifying at the same time. the only thing that's missing are umbrellas in the grand stands

Great video Ben. Very good drive 🏆. I can’t wait to drive in to some races.

Awesome
Can't wait to try this 👍
Good job 😎
Nice racing 🎉😊

Gotta blind them with the spray bro.
