- Beach days in Nicaragua treated us so well between the incredible sunset colors, the breeze and the surf. We loved Popoyo because of how small the community is and the amazing vibe surrounding it. Thanks so much to our backpacker friends, Richie and Steve for telling us to check out this amazing place!

It looks amazing and I'd love to check it out but would you recommend Popoyo for a solo traveler without a car? I have San Juan Del Sur on my itinerary and debating allocating some of that time to Popoyo instead.
I know buses go to and from. We were actually traveling with some backpackers here. They go a taxi there but make sure to secure a price. It's very relaxed, I highly suggest it! 😃

@@the.vandersons I was so glad it wasn't a scorpion after you showed that picture of one. The snake bite was devastating. Being a Florida girl we have rattlesnakes and I thought you died right away if you got that had no idea you had time to survive I would have lost it.
