Healthcare for working poor. I don't want to spend more in tax dollars to pay for a millionaire's health insurance. Funny how people in this situation go from "yeah ceos" to "yeah pay for ceo healthcare"
@Blundabus1337 i think this was more from the expectation (or rather the hope given the low chance of this happening in the current political climate) that the rich would be taxed their fair share to pay for healthcare. And/or that the rich would be made to utilize the same healthcare as everyone else so as to force the standard of healthcare up (because lord knows if they had to bum it with the rest of us they'd move heaven and earth to be able to get actual quality treatment passed as the legal standard) rather than being able to ignore the problem by hiring personal healthcare professionals.
@Blundabus1337 for all. Everybody. It's not about healthcare for CEOs. It's about destroying the predatory American healthcare system. If there is no private healthcare system, the costs for healthcare will go down because we will no longer have to pay the benefits and fund expensive holidays for all of these CEOs and shareholder billionaires. The price of insulin and basic necessities will finally be comparable to the price in other countries. If you continue to expand healthcare while restricting it to a few the private healthcare system will still make things too expensive for the government to be able to afford to give the working poor good care. If there is only a single payer though ( ie the government) then they will have the power to negotiate down healthcare costs making the cost of healthcare to be in line with the prices present in other developed countries

The democratic party are like if the republican party who don’t hate gay people and don’t want to give as much tax breaks to the rich. Both parties want endless war and support the g-side of gaza. They also keep moving to the right because going to the left means they have to care about healthcare and money in politics. Bernie Sanders is an actual centrist if we look at politics outside of American context. That being said you are right on one very important thing: We are divided when we shouldn’t be. The one thing people in the US need more than anything is to _see_ one another. To see that neither side of the polarized division aisle is trying to be evil, malicious, or abusive. Not on the voter side, anyway. Most regular people just want a decent job, a fair wage, and a chance at happiness. A chance to live life on their terms. The whole republican party. We also happen to spend twice as much on health care as countries that have it as a human right.
@CandieP funnily enough, free market economic policies, including less taxes and not federally funded healthcare, result in more access to healthcare for everyone
@MargaretBurmingham-qm5dx unless you have federally funded health care for everyone. We could afford this if we wanted to tax wealth on the top 1 percent. Many countries in Europe have this system, and it works quite well. (Besides for health care CEOs that wouldn't exist)

Understanding was never a priority for conservatives.
@Blunda, the fuck are you talking about? That is not what cheaper healthcare abroad is like.

Dude that last part “how dare you not be divided” is so true. I’ve literally had both left and right wackos online tell me that being a centrist is worse because I’m “fence sitting” instead of taking a side. Yeah because I don’t always align 100% with one side man.
Unfortunately America is right wing beyond all reason so to be centrist in this political context is just to be a right winger.
This CEOs death proved we are being radicalized by old and new media to fight each other when we agree on what we actually want. Hating the LGBT or flyover state white people are distracting us from our enemies: the rich and powerful.
@Nastara
I've been saying for the past year that a centrist is just a conservative in search of good optics. Not hating gays or openly hating nonwhite immigrants just isn't enough anymore for Dems (especially when trans people are the newest scapegoat likely to be thrown under the bus by the mainstream left party).
Being a centrist is just having incoherent politics, taking things from both sides literally is fence sitting.
