“The song “Prayer” was written by Ruslan Silin in 2005 (“in ten minutes,
like an insight") and was first performed by Ruslan with the singers of the Novospassky Monastery in 2007 at the first international festival of modern Orthodox song in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior "Singing Angel". The song took first place and the author received a letter of gratitude from Patriarch of All Rus' Alexy II.
The song is written in the style of an ancient Byzantine chant. In the recording of the song, all four voice parts were performed by the author Ruslan Silin himself.
