Hey northern Ireland leave Lena alone lm also doing the same as Lena l know how much strength and fitness you need to do all the work on your very own truck when you buy one from the truck selling centres it pays off to be a qualified mechanic it saves you time and money instead of having to wait for recovery trucks to bring in broken down trucks when you can do all of the hard work your self in stead of paying a service garage to do it for you and it saves me money on parts for our fleet of trucks when you know where to go and buy parts off crashed trucks be for they go to the scrap yards a specially if your After a bed for your truck and Some very expensive tyres and wheels some times you can also purchase some expensive mirrors and you can also rescue some really expensive truck curtains which are left in the cabs when they have been in an accident and can't be repaired

No it did not cost me much money for the parts when you know where to order them from And when you have a romantic husband who can be a handy man if l need him to help me Other wise l just crack on doing Most of the hard graft on my own when my husband is some times at home with the kids or he is out at work doing the night shift doing recovery jobs So lm then at home with our kids other wise they sit in the caravan doing their home work While me and my husband are in the yard

Brian, he didn’t have to fix few of those things he knew which ones to do straight away by looking at the truck and meanwhile whilst waiting for jobs he slowly got on with other bits and pieces - less to worry about whilst I’m out on the road. Definitely cheaper to sort these things out even if they not completely done by then road service or recovery 🤞🏻 will see though that still might happen 🙄🫣

He’s a good lorry, we knew few bits would need to be changed and only had couple surprises (tyre and caliper) other than that hubby just got on with bits and pieces whilst we had the time; better do it all before i get on the road to prevent breakdowns than pay an arm and a leg for those. Few weeks troking now and not a single issue 🤞🏻 - he truly is an amazing mechanic

In the process of getting my second vehicle on the road when buying my first got all certs for ctrv i bought it after a week went to my own mechanic and got a list off him what had to be fixed he reckons it was a dodgy ctrv did you no what had to be done to yours when you bought it
Hi pe ko, how unlucky 😞 hope it didnt cost you a lot to put it right. Yes we knew exactly what needed to be done straight away and what other bits wed like to change as soon as we can. I took my mechanic with me shopping you see he went underneath and all over them lorries with a tooth Combe. Have a look at my previous videos where we looking for a truck to buy and another one where we bought it. He explains all defects in there before we pay the dosh. Stumpy its not a stupid question, its a sensible one re-tap new bolt job done lol or if you wanted to cheat that bolt would have gone back in with the end cut off,

hi, my Volvo bus has orange ABS light on, and it takes a longer distance to bring the vehicle to stop secondly I have to depress the brake very hard, but the vehicle is continuing to roll forward.
If that brake disc is the original one it could be an absolute nightmare to replace. Done them before..if that was my tractor unit i would have said sod it and changed the discs both sides and the pads . At least you've got peace and mind knowing that you know the brakes are good on the back axle ..and judging by the way he was hammering on that half shaft, id definitely say they are the original discs on the back . Just my initial thought..

Na they just want to flog it as seen, Brian is right they export the trucks out of the country if they are not sold fast. Is up to a Byers to go though everything with a tooth comb and negotiate a price according to what you think it might cost you to put it right. What we did in essence :))

( Lawtrucks ) You have done all that work on the n/s rear hub and put it back with a nackered disc ? maybe you like work and saved some for another day lol,, also see you like to fit crap tyres to the front axle Double Coin? You are a brave man to fit that shit make on the front axle, Allways use premium make on the Front. Michelin work out the cheapest if you are short of cash, Double Coin if you have plenty of cash lol just proves its all bollox about cannot fit 10 yr old tyres to the front axle a 20 yr old Mich would be safer than a NEW Double Coin, You get what you pay for? maybe Not with that Volvo though ? looks like the scrap price was good at the time ?

We were doing the abs sensor and the bolt was knackered on the calliper so needed to do that too in the end

Haha that’s absolutely fine truck.Mechanic 💪🏻 I’d love for him to film his work I’d even edit every time but he hardly lets me film what he does let alone do it himself. You are a brave man to fit that shit make on the front axle, Allways use premium make on the Front. Michelin work out the cheapest if you are short of cash, Double Coin if you have plenty of cash lol just proves its all bollox about cannot fit 10 yr old tyres to the front axle a 20 yr old Mich would be safer than a NEW Double Coin, You get what you pay for? maybe Not with that Volvo though ? looks like the scrap price was good at the time ?
