- Glencoe Landscape Photography | Inspiration is everywhere - In this video, I capture 40+ inspirational Pictures.
This is just typical of me... there is no point travelling so far and only taking a shot or two. I don't like making 4 or 5 part videos either. So in this video, I have crammed in some of my highlights and I have also included 40+ inspirational pictures. Enjoy!

Last week I travelled North to Glencoe for a 4-day whirlwind tour. I travel twice a year to the Isle of Skye and make it my pilgrimage to stop off on both directions and photograph different parts of Glencoe. I have been doing this for years. I have been running Workshops up North for the past 8 years but I have never had the time to run a separate course to Glencoe. This year it's going to be different!
Glencoe and the surrounding areas truly are amazing places. It has to be up there with Iceland when it comes to the photographer's bucket list!
Glencoe is so beautiful that even some of James Bonds blockbuster "Skyfall" was filmed there. If you've seen the film you'll recognise the spots when you go there.
There is nothing like the early morning light to capture a stunning picture of Buachaille Etive Mor. It's the shot every photographer must have in their portfolio. It's a classic shot but since Buachaille Etive Mor is an icon of Glencoe it's a shot you must have.
There are stunning landscapes to be had and most of them require very little effort from you! Some of the best locations are literally a stone's throw away from the side of the road This makes Glencoe easily accessible to just about everyone, old or young, fit or unfit! Obviously, I will encourage everyone to venture much further away from the easily accessible locations but this will be up to you!
THANK YOU
Gary

After watching your videos for over a year, I decided to subscribe today at the time I have unsubscribed from almost any other photographer I followed in the past. Passion is the reason I subscribed. Your videos are full of passion, you are a truly down to earth dedicated photographer who also has a fantastic eye to capture amazing images. Your videos are very honest and you have a very friendly way of delivering the message. I know this video is now old and you might not be interested in reading messages from old posts. But if you do, I encourage you to keep on the great work, stay loyal to the cause and never EVER stop shooting. You are great at it.
Cheers
Comments like this make all the hard work so worthwhile. Thank you very much 👍👍
Pure motivation for us all Gary - just love your enthusiasm and find your photography inspiring

Loved the "last shot of the day" in both colour and B&W! Your tree island photo illustrates the benefit of 'beating the bushes'. Nicely done.
Cheers Keith
No other photographers will have this image.... They will now. I love your determination.
lol I've probably started something doh! :) Thank you Maura

Action packed with some masterpieces - adore the black & white of the wee white hoose and moody clouds… oh and the boat and all the other shots what a great 4 days that would have been. Need to get myself over to Scotland and get on a workshop… this video is saved in my favourites now… beautiful images
Wow stunning just goes to show you can still get amazing photos when the conditions arnt perfect
Cheers Martin
Boat - black and white - absolutely beautiful.
Probably my favourite too. Cheers
super shots my favourite was the tree in middle of framed mountains worth the work to get to the right spot.
Thank you 👍👍
Brilliant what a great inspirational shoot.
I think that’s your best vlog to date Gary, really good. I knew you were the sort of guy that wouldn’t let an impenetrable bush get in his way!
Absolutely stunning shots, Gary! Looooove the landscapes in colour! The colours are so beautiful. Love the wreck in black and white!
Stunning images!
Always worth heading out, the image I posted in the group of the boat in my head was thinking waste of time going out, everything pointed in the not worth it direction, but so glad I did.
Hello Gary, I've watched this video a couple of times now to make sure it all sunk in! You always show a greater number of shots than other vloggers but it never compromises the quality. This is an awesome collection and my favourite is the simple b&w end on view of the wreck, well done, truly magnificent! Del
Hi Gary, wow,wow and wow again.
Best yet.
Thank you John 👍👍
A Very Productive 4 days. I love the Contrast you are able to put out of your photo's , Your eye in photoshop is amazing... Master Class
Cheers George. It's just practice. 👍👍
My favourite landscape photography video thus far. Great job! So inspired to get out and put in the work to get the right shots. Thanks for posting.
Thank you Jeff, very kind of you to say 👍👍
Fantastic thank you Gary.
Thank you
brilliant vlog gary, well done for scrambling through those bushes to take that stunning reflective image of the lake, but all throughout they were awesome images
Another super video Gary! What you described as your final shot of the trip - before you saw the rainbow - is one of my favourites and also print worthy. The one with a dead tree trunk on the bank if a lake. The one where you had to crawl through the brush to get was great too. I was shocked to see bushes of rhododendrons growing there - an entirely non-native and invasive species. If you haven’t already, please post some of these in your website so we can get a better view. I watched the video on an iPad mini and will rewatch on my iMac later.
Love your positive energy! 👍
Cheers Roger 👍👍
Nice work Gary and a very good point about photographing things while they are still around.
We can count on your tenacity. Beautiful, inspiring images.
Thank you, very kind 👍👍
Wow. Amazing images...loved the one with the mountains and the white house. Could see my wife and I staying there on a future trip to the UK.
15.37: it looks like a painting, so much more powerful in color. Beautiful editing. Also, indeed great shots of the boat. Glencoe is a very special place.

Delightful Gary and has brought back some very happy memories to me. The image at 9.09 is stunning and the image at 19:49 is similat to the one I got on the Glen Etive road. This is why I am returning later this year.

You're welcome Fazza
Nice collection of images.
Some super images Gary and the music was spot on. Thanks.
Hi Gary. Loved every moment of this ! Very impressed with your efforts to get that reflection shot on Lochan Urr - it's a stunner ! I know it's a matter of preference, and that's why photography's so great, but I actually prefer your colour shots at Corpach and in Glen Etive (not that the mono shots are too shabby !!). You must be over the moon with the portfolio you've created here - everyone is a keeper. Huge thanks for sharing this with us Gary.
You're now on my Christmas Card list :) Cheers Tim 👍👍👍👍
A great vlog and stunning photography. I especially love the image you crawled through the rhododendrons to capture, that you say must be a print. Too true. It is perfect in every way.
Thank you Wendy 👍👍
