That’s not fair on Palmer, he should deserve a shot to be in the England starting XI, you don’t pick a team on favorites, you pick a team on who’s performing the best currently
No you pick a team based on who will perform best for England.
@environm3ntalist549 that's Palmer. Guy didn't exactly need time to settle for Chelsea did he? If he can immediately make that kind of impact in an unstable environment/disorganised team there, he'll slot into England seamlessly.
He's one of those players you can tell is versatile and good enough to play well regardless of who he's playing with/what system. Natural footballer.
Performing best currently doesn’t mean they will perform best by the euros
That's not how you pick a team at all, who is performing the best currently is a big factor but it's one amongst many.
@@Anon97123 England might be many poor things under Southgate but they certainly do not have an unstable environment or disorganisation
Palmer is so direct, elegant, skillful, and a finisher. Doesn't go looking for pens to limp. Man is a no nonsense baller. Have to have him start on the right.
People don't understand the levels that man can reach, scary...
I'm sure he can play as a 10 with Bellingham and Rice behind him.
You guys are such prisoners of the moment. Saka has been performing at pl level & international level for longer. Saka starts, Foden starts, Bellingham starts. Palmer is an amazing bench option
@@michael43567 Saka doesn't play good in big games, Palmer is much better than him in goal scoring, passing, dribbling, IQ of game etc.
You can't drop Palmer just because he's a bit less experienced than others
Not choosing palmer to start is just straight up abomination 😂😂, the man is a monster 😮. I love saka and foden but the man is in form.
You think palmer starts over foden and saka? 🤣 Palmer plays either RW or 10 and he starts over neither
@@mnr.m1 Saka's stats clearly show he has been a downward spiral. Arsenal have burnt him out.
@@AeyGeeagreed. Palmer is the natural pick. Could also see Saka starting to struggle next season but time will tell.
Form is temporary, class is permanent.
@@AeyGee you can use stats to fits the argument you are making and wanting out of a player.
Palmer has scored over half of his goals from the spot. It is his first season and sometimes you see players get found out after a season. When on the right Palmer has not been as effective for Chelsea when in CAM.
Saka is better defensively and brings players into him to create space for others. You make it sound as though Saka has scored or done anything.
You take off Palmer’s pens and Saka’s pen they are just a goal difference and assist difference.
Saka has been doing it for years and is Arsenal’s best player and they are near the top.
This is Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard all over again and it will end in tears
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
It seems the English fans never learn, they need to take a leaf from Spanish 2010 team
Palmer is phenomenal and universal, he can score any team to defender palmer is headache.
I love watching Palmer play more...feel like something will always happen
You could play all three. Foden on the left, Palmer in the 10 and Saka on the right.
Pivot of Rice and Bellingham. Have Stones step into midfield like he does for Man City and push Bellingham Forward turning the shape into a 3 2 4 1
No
I had the same thought, same formation but.
GK: PICKFORD
CB:WALKER
CB:STONES
CB:BRAITHEWAITE
CDM:RICE
CDM:MAINOO
RW:SAKA
RAM:BELLINGHAM
LAM:PALMER
LW:FODEN
ST:KANE
rice and mainoo will help the defense if they’re in need because that’s mainly their speciality, plus. both are good and transition
All of them I’d say
exactly
yeah but whos gonna play out of position? Not to mention all three of their strongest/shooting foot is the left one
@@HeyGio_3 Palmer could play as a 10. You wouldn't bat an eyelid if they were all right footed, it doesn't matter.
@@a-walpatches6460well said 👏
Foden can play on left wing, Saka/Palmer on right wing. Palmer or Saka can be on the bench.
If Palmer starts, it should be RW in place of Saka. Either Bellingham or Foden in the 10.
For me, Palmer starts over Saka. Saka has done it for longer so it's his spot to lose. Guessing Palmer will start on the bench and he'll only take Saka's place if Saka isnt playing well in the Euros. That's generally how Southgate's operated in the past. He doesnt take risks, but he's willing to drop one of his favourites in a tournament if it isn't working.
Personally, I'd start Palmer first game of the Euros over Saka. I just think hes better. But that won't happen. The majority of people will obviously back Saka because Palmer's the new kid on the block and Saka's had 2 good tournaments for us now.
But I do think we'll be missing a trick by not starting Palmer. He's one of those players that could seemlessly slot into any system. Very natural footballer. Glides past players, great vision, great shooting technique which makes him clinical etc. Game comes easy to him. People who don't want to risk starting him after 1 good season will probably realise in 2 or 3 seasons time just how good he is. But I understand completely why people are reluctant to want Saka dropped for him when Saka himself hasn't declined. The thing is, Palmer's a better player. It's taken him half a season to catch up to his standard and I'd argue he's already better.
Very similar feeling to when Belllingham first broke through. Also has a top mentality too.
Spot on mate.
Saka has proven tournament quality. Palmer will get there one day
@@andrewjoyce9038 proven tournament quality without winning the actual tournament means nothing, unless you're from England...
Problem is that with Walker starting at RB most likely, you would want a natural winger who is more comfortable providing the width at RW. Palmer usually have Gusto overlapping so he could invert and occupy the half space which is where he is most effective.
So Saka would be most suited in that position for England.
Saka wouldn't even be second choice RW
If you don’t want Saka you just don’t like him. Look at the chances created while having that many pl goal contributions
I 100% disagree with foden at the right wing,,he's a midfielder,,10th position,,,and also Bellingham is more better on 8th position than 10th,,, people,,you learn to analyze football keenly.
I love Cole Palmer. he's saved our season so far god knows where we'd be without him. But for England, Foden or Bellingham has to play in the 10 role we've seen how excellent they've both played domestically and in Europe. As for right wing there is a genuine discussion between Saka and Cole but Bukayo has international experience for England. Cole should be an impact sub in my opinion but honestly with the amount of attacking talent we have at our disposal at the moment any choice is the right one.
Cole Palmer wins the pl golden boot and playmaker award only to be 2nd choice RW at the euros? GTFOH lmao. If he wins it, he's gonna start wherever they want him but he'll start. One of Saka or Foden will either have to sit or play LW. Gordon is on form too, so LW looks like his unless Southgate chooses grealish or rashford bc he's southgate
That's why they won't win it
@@afckajjansi so you’d have Gordon and move Bellingham out of the position he is best in the world at? With this defense mainoo should be starting to protect with rice with saka, foden, Bellingham and Kane attacking. You get your best players on the pitch and as great as palmers been for a mid table team he hasn’t been asked to start in enough high pressure situations for club or England to start him when you’re the favorites to win.
Cole palmer is incredibly consistent in an underperforming Chelsea team.
Out of the 3 . Saka is the only natural right winger . Palmer and Foden are natural 10s who occasionally play wide . The real question is , if Rice is the 6 and Jude plays the 8 for England . Who will be the 10 out of Foden and Palmer ?
Not a single hope or chance palmer is a better 10 than foden. Not. A. Chance
Kane cf, saka right forward, foden left forward, rice defensive midfielder, Bellingham centre midfield, palmer number 10.
That's just not true. Palmer's a right winger. Different type of player to Saka but all his best games have been off the right this season for Chelsea.
The Everton game he did play AM and scored 4 but that shows his versatility. As someone who's watched him all season, he's absolutely best cutting in onto his left foot at RW.
@@user-fv1rn2xe4f nahhh palmer clear
Strange...
Palmer and Foden should play.
Yeah, it would be beneficial for both England and Arsenal if Saka doesn’t play cause he’s not the best RW for England atm, he’s burnt out
His in his prime chill 🧘♀️ star boy draws two 2️⃣ players all day none of the other guys demand that attention from defenders 🫡
Don't put your hate for Arsenal on Saka. We all know non of those can play better on the right Wng thm him.
If you want to Win Saka plays,
Saka drops deep for Arsenal and defends yet he’s still created more chances as the other two he won’t be defending for England you can’t drop Saka no chance
@@franstuhadeleni7781well palmers played better than him this season
Saka is a pure right winger. Cuts in & shoots, cuts in & crosses, goes down the outside, tracks back. He's also performed the best for England out of the 3. To me he should start RW. Foden can play LW
Has cold palmar got to play in big games for England? No so we don't know we should give him chance so we can judge him
@@biswashkhand4480 and a must win Euros tournament isn't the time to experiment
@@michael43567Like you have won it with Saka before now😂😂😂😂
The only problem is that Palmer is lazy,if he was not maybe we would compare him with Saka n Foden,NOT a Arsenal fan Saka is better than Palmer but Foden he even defends.
@@raymondkhanyile9814 You think Palmer is lazy? Are you kidding me 😂
Dropping Saka is Diabolical
England team is crazy!
Poor defence though
Saka is the most experienced of the three. You cant go with trial and error in a tournament which is your last dance as a coach. Saka will start and wont be surprised if Grealish start ahead of Palmer and Foden. Saka and Grealish are more defensively solid and you need that in a tournament. Nothing is wrong with Foden and Cole coming after 60 minutes when opponents are tiring after Saka and Grealish ran them rugged. It will be scarier.
For once we can feel lucky - these are better than the golden generation in these positions. Let's hope they all stay fit and in form
It’s just deeper not better. The golden generation. Had Rooney, Owen, Defoe, Crouch, Joe Cole, Beckham, Walcott, wright phillips, and Lennon as options
Cold Palmer is the best player currently and currently. Proper Chels
He just isn't

This is easy. Play the first formation.
But like pep, let stones join the midfield to form a box. In this way you get Bellingham to join the attack.
I agree but England box midfield is hilarious😂 specifically because Southgate would never.. the clown
Most exciting bunch of attacking players we've had in my time watching England. Any combination is the right combination. That defence is a worry though if Kyle Walker isn't there to save them.
Foden Kane Saka
Palmer
Rice Jude
Chilwell tomori stones walker
Ramsdale
I feel like jude can be played as an 8 and still be influential. Also, tomori has to start. it's the pace that can keep up with the world-class attackers
When I saw Maguire I was like... Are you serious?
That’s actually a solid line up
One of these players is a 2x england player of the year btw
please put lineup 3
For a tournament it's a squad game. Saka/Palmer can sew up the right.
Still need a partner for Rice though.
Mainoo or Wharton
I would play all three.
Saka and Palmer on the wings, and Foden as an attacking midfielder, alongside Bellingham.
I would also be inclined to use " super subs " such as Gordon , Bowen , and Rashford when players are tiring , or need a break, or are injured.
All should be heading to the EUROS and most especially all must start
Yes Cole is the hottest player on form right now. It's undisputed.
Next month it may change though.
They can all play. With the players Gareth has picked, we have to play 3-2-4-1.
GK:Pickford DF: Walker. Maguire. Stones
MF :Trent/Gallagher/Mainoo with Rice
AM: Saka. Jude. Foden. Palmer
ST: Kane
The AM's can be fluid and interchangeable. Kane will drop deep so we'll get Bellingham and Foden running into forward spaces. Saka, Palmer, Trent, Walker and Gallagher can provide width when needed
We thank God for the blessing of such wonderful options 🙏🏾
Foden scored a hattrick in the number 10 position against Brentford then Palmer scored a hattrick the next day against Man United a team we have not beaten in 6 years in the PL...
Phil is the most inform player in England,
should try Double pivot no 10 with jude and foden.
And stones can step in midfield with rice forming a box midfield, similar to pep treble lineup
Where stones used to team up with rodri and kdb gundogan forming a carrasouel of passing which no team was able to beat.
Palmer and saka on wings, kane up front
So may foreigners chatting about our squad. If Saka isn’t playing we aren’t winning. He’s been a breath of fresh air since he joined the men’s.
Palmer is class; he has been playing all season in a poor Chelsea team, he has kept Chelsea mid table until his colleagues return from injuries. COYB if England don’t play him; it’s Chelsea gain over the long run
Imagine Cold Palmer coming from the bench and scores a hat-trick❤
As a Chelsea FC fan who isn't English I'm not concerned if Palmer doesn’t immediately start for The Three Lions. Him starting at some point its an inevitability. The immediate concern or conversation here is having Maguire as an irrefutable feature in your starting IX.
take all three
Foden LW, Saka RW, Palmer CAM, Bellingham CM
Palmer is such a confident player, I don’t think he needs time to settle in or adjust to the pressure. I reckon if he starts, he’ll play just as well as he does for Chelsea
If Palmer can link up with Jackson then he link up with all the England forwards, easily. He should start as a 10 and Jude is can play box to box as a deep 8
He is good to go for the best player of the season❤❤❤❤❤
Ofcourse, Palmer is the first name on that list as the best player this season in the epl , following foden coming from an Arsenal fan , they should just give him the award , becoming anytime is on the field it always feels like something magical is going to happen
Saka tasked corners that why his chances are a lot
All of them for sure. Rice and the full backs should be more defensives, than you can use Bellighan and Foden in front of Rice. Palmer on the right and Saka on the left as he used to play as a left winger so will adapt faster.
He’ll definitely pick Saka. Foden and Palmer probably going for 1 spot, but I’d imagine he goes with Foden. Playing well against Real Madrid carries far more weight than playing well against Everton!
Still, palmer has a lot of quality.
Think Saka is the worst of the three on current form.
Everton would get in Europe if they played in La Liga. Joke of a league.

Go for 4-1-2-3
Same backline. Rice at CDM. 2 CAMs , preferably Palmer and Bellingham. Attacking Kane, Foden in the left, Saka at the right.
well clearly hes the most in form player in the pl atm...you have to give him the shot in the group stages and if he blends in well then he keeps his spot otherwise if he struggles in the england squad then its bellingham in and palmer benched...with so much talent available you just have to work smartly and simply remember that the england squad in the euros is a much bigger challenge and responsibility compared to chelsea where by far palmer is the talisman
Move bellingham deeper. Hes not a number 10 hes more of a box to box. Very similar to Rice, but offers a bit more in the final third.
The 2nd team is how id play it but swap walker to CB and then put TAA rb.
4-1-4-1
Foden and Saka on the wing.
Palmer and Bellingham in the middle.
Rice as the CDM (Mainoo Sub).
Kane up top (Toney sub)
In KO tournament u need a goal scorer/creator.. so it should be palmer starting
Saka for sure his record for england is excellent
All I know is that foden has to be starting 1,000,000%. Foden at 10,Bellingham adjacent and saka on the right. Idk where palmer slots in…
on the left - even out of position he's better than any other option for lw

All of them. End of discussion
By the definition of a right wing. Saka is the proper right wing.
Good 1 vs 1
More direct

Defend a lot in the opposition half
Can cover up for the right back
Can play left back,left-wing etc
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’d play phoden, kane, sake
Then palmer Bellingham as a number 8 and rice as a holding 6. But I would have saka palmer and phoden inter changing that would be hell for the opposition. You can’tdrop Saka in my opinion he creates so many chances especially with kane up front and Bellingham running in the box as an 8
It all depends on the next 7 or so games. Will Saka return to form? Will Palmer maintain his? And foden?
Not gonna lie, that 3rd option looks fire.
Yes palmer is good is a game change
Saka we regret not to pick Nigeria over England
I would pick all three. Rice, Bellingham in midfield. Foden on the left, Palmer at 10, Saka on the right
All three tbh, foden on the left, saka on the right and palmer as well on the right. You can have all three and rotate them constantly
Palmer definitely should start. He's the most impactful player out of these 3.
3-2-4-1 (in possession)
Gk: Pickford
Rcb: Walker CB: Maguire RCB: Stones
RDM: Declan LDM: Trent
LM: Foden RM: Saka
LAM: Jude RAM: Cole Palmer
ST: kane
Option 4 :- all of them.
For Palmer to be top notch in Europe in a struggling team like Chelsea, it is inappropriate to mention starting him from the bench. real Madrid, arsenal and mancity which saka, Jude and foden belong to are all in form.
Do you think if Chelsea is in form that Palmer would have had only 23 goals?
Say you don't like his celebration but not starting him from the bench.
Totally disagree with the point on Bellingham for options 1 & 2. Bellingham is only strong in Madrid because the formation suits his number 10. With wide players and Kane, he should be playing number 8.
Play Saka, Foden, Palmer. Bellingham and Rice in behind.
Phil Foden in an England shirt is a little above average
Palmer Saka Bellingham Foden. All well and good.
But what the HELL is Gallagher doing starting for England
Palmer played number 10 against Evaton on Monday and scored 4goals
What a team that England has...they should be winning the Euros
If anybody thinks Saka won’t start under Southgate is simply delusional.😂🤣😝
Start all 3. Foden/bellingham/rice midfield. Palmer/saka Kane upfront. Trent has to play too, his ability is a world apart from the others. And yes he can defend, his stats consistently are good each season. Highlight merchants might disagree with facts though.
England will over hiryping these is pamer first full season and you people are saying he should start ahead of saka that is doing it session in session out
On current form, Cold Palmer is the best premier league player.
Yes he is
It's so funny how everyone desperately throwing Palmer's name around England XI and he's not the only who's done that look at Watkins. Toney, no one was comparing these two with Kane, now all of a sudden Palmer with a couple of penalties he deserves to start over Saka, no wonder why England is not threatening in these major tournaments its because of these kind off conversations.
Phil Foden doesn't take penalties, so impressive this season.
Also plays in the best team and has had a lot more minutes than Palmer.
Anyone would be impressive in the best team in the world man city. Put foden in Chelsea lol no chance
@@DrBased123 Palmer also played in that team, its harder to outshine world class players in a team full of superstars
yes u can drop saka when ur risking bellingham and palmer
Tbh, Phil Foden has been a class above both, Palmer second for me, then Saka. Foden is not even taking penalty for man city yet delivering that stats unlike Palmer and Saka.
bro one season wonder saka plays this every season
All I'm saying as a chelsea fan is that Saka in RW is undropable - he's won England Men's player of the year 2 seasons in a row now
This year its either Palmer or Foden
yes saka starts unless his form drops in england shirt in two or more games, bellingham has the number 10 on lock and foden or grealish starts on the wing with gordon as sub
No doubt, he is
Game 1: Saka and Gordon
Game 2: Grelish and Palmer
Palmer needs to be on the bench at the very least. Never know if England might end up in a penalty shootout 😜
4141 will be perfect then all four will be able to play
Kane
Cole , Bellingham,foden , Saka
Rice
Chiwell ,stones ,maguire,walker
Pickford
Phil foden is built differently he cannot be compared to anyone
Tbf I’m more concerned about palmer actually getting game time than not being on the starting 11.
Palmer for me even tho he's playing for a Chelsea team that doesn't look so confidence if the Chelsea team should improve there won't be no such debate
Palmer is clear as day. He's such a genius.
All make them play
The thing is, you can't play Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard and Beckham in the same midfield.
Oops wrong dial on the DeLorean, Doc crank it to 88!
Saka is better than anyone else in the England squad. Pay him in the right wing because it's his most comfortable role. Bellingham will still do well as a number 8. Saka has just scored 47 goals playing as a 7
Should be Palmer on the right and Foden on the Left and maybe Saka at CAM
