I mean, a lot of these cutscenes are prerendered and Unreal Engine natively supports playing video clips so transitions from cutscene to gameplay like this are possible. Kudos to the cinematographers who made those feel natural and seemless

i think i was 13 or 14 the first time i played this game. i remember this boss fight took me 2 hours lol. but watching this i cant believe i struggled so much like 5+ years ago lmfao.

Lucky for me, I plan to meet the voice of The Arkham series version of Mr. Freeze, Maurice LaMarche (one of my favorite voice actors) at this year’s NYCC.
Also i think its just muscle memory at this point, because if you use it too much, mr freeze WILL jam detective mode, so you can only use it ever so often
The freeze battle in arkham city is good with you having to use different techniques to take him down but the only thing crap about it is the fact that it is very short you have a fare few different techniques you can use but you don't even get to use all if them to take him down the freeze

Usually I don't like forced Stealth parts on ANY game, but this Boss Battle is an exception. The amount of different takedowns you can use on Mr. Freeze is absolutely insane: Windows, electricity, disruptor, gliding, air vents, explosive gel, attacks from behind, etc... It adds too much on the gameplay. I still prefer a toe-to-toe Boss Fight, but I also love this Stealthy one. Great game, great Boss Battle!
i was 11 when this game came out and i actually remember the first time i got to this fight, and it was my first boss fight where i became confused as to why hitting him wont work. cuz i was mainly a nintendo kid back then and this boss thaught me not all bosses can be beat by spamming attacks like in zelda. still my favorite batman boss
