Can’t wait to get these. Stoked to have won their giveaway on IG. I have all of the non chase releases for deluxe, premium and licensed premium. I have a ton of reds and a handful of raws. I’m so glad I decide to go for a complete set as early as I did cause some of the regular releases are super difficult to find
you all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost the account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Salvador Marley i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Buicks, Chevrolets, Pontiacs, Plymouths...oh my...you had my attention from one minute...I want one of them Eldorodos...badly but I don't want to pay 15 to 20 dollars...I got a Hobby Lobby location nearby but they have very little diecast and only Greenlight at this time...I want one of them Buick station wagons...my granddad had a AMC Rambler,, Ford County Squire, and Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon...I used to love riding around with him as a kid...Autoworld will be a part of my collection soon!
ToysRus had AW for $6, but now with them gone the only brick and mortar retailer that carries them in my area is Hobby Lobby. But of course they mark up all their diecast by 40-50%, which is a no from me (unless I have a coupon).
Just found these on 8/7/19 in Massachusetts. I found an ultra-red 66 Impala. This is 1st time I've found Autoworld at any Walmart I've visited. Only other stores I've found Autoworld are ToysRus (RIP) and Hobby Lobby. I picked up the whole set of 6 they had on the pegs. They were all the B case. I have to say my favorites from the assortment I got are the yellow 2012 Mustang Boss 302 and the green 62 Impala.
Nice batch of cars, although we've seen these in different color variations before. The two '67 Cadillac Eldorados and the '76 Buick Estate Wagons are the coolest here imo. The others look really nice too. If you're a completist probably both sets are worth getting, but i'm liking set B just a bit more. The next batch with the new Chevy trucks should be really interesting. Thanks for the detailed presentation!
AW is simply next level. Fortunate that my local Walmart is good about keeping them on the pegs. I certainly hope China and US can work out their trade deal so future prices on these cars don't go up to insane heights.
Lucky you. Walmarts in my area never stock Auto World, and Johnny Lightning has been very sparse this year. The reason for this is because a bunch of 2016 JL cars showed up at Walmarts in large quantities lack summer. Initially they sold, but at the end of the day they were still old cars; the collectors that really wanted them got them back in 2016. So they became peg warmers well into winter 2019. Walmart probably thought this brand just doesn't sell anymore, so most of them in my area stopped carrying them entirely.
@@TACADD, What is really sparse in this area is HW Car Culture models. Also, Walmart obtains too many same-letter mainline car cases and never is steady with any newer cases as they come out because they are trying to self off the peg warmers from past cases. What happens is they completely skip some cases while they get too many of others. Fantasy cars are always the ones warming the pegs. They get random cases of Car Culture and only follow up on the same series. It's maddening. Thank God at least this Walmart near me keeps up with AW and MBX. My personal opinion is that Hot Wheels puts too many cars in each individual case and they steadily fail to repeat castings that are quickly gobbled up because we all love them. I will never have too many '67 Mustangs or '70 GTO's or Silverados. Not to mention Camaro, Charger, etc. I am not interested in multiple colors of cars which can open a bottle of beer. Oops, I am ranting.......
@@rogersanderscustoms8121 Same thing has happened at my local Walmart. I got a full set of Open Track, but now there are 5-6 full cases of that set just sitting on the pegs over a month later. There has been no sign of the 2nd Fast and Furious set ever hitting the pegs at all.
@@TACADD Yeah, it's like Mattel needs Walmart and Walmart benefits from HW sales, yet they are not in communication as to the most efficient ways to really sell the product. I wonder what would happen if Mattel reduced HW mainline case sizes to 50 and actually communicated with Walmart about how to get all sets to all stores and reduce bulk-stocking some cases while missing other cases altogether. I bet sales would go through the roof. For some reason, I don't see that happening any time soon.
Same here in Massachusetts. I found an ultra-red 66 Impala. This is 1st time I've found Autoworld at any Walmart I've visited. Only other stores I've found Autoworld are ToysRus (RIP) and Hobby Lobby.
ToysRus used to be my go to for Auto World and Johnny Lightning. Now with them defunct, I haven't seen an AW since. Walmarts have never stocked Auto World in my area. Hobby Lobby isn't a very convenient drive for me, though more are opening up closer to my home soon. My biggest issue with Hobby Lobby is that they have an insane markup on their diecast. A $6 AW will retail for $10 at Hobby Lobby. So unless you have a 40% off coupon, it's better to go online.
cool preview love auto world its my main brand in 1/64 scale, love the caddys an wagons the most in this set, 62 & 66 impalas are sweet, the 63 dodges look pretty nice as well not a fan of modern cars but those boss mustangs do look cool.
Which is the better quality AW or GL. I don’t have a lot of either brands. I have a few of AW and 20 plus GL. I live in Denmark and we don’t get either AW or GL or even HW or MBX premium lines. So all of my collecting is via eBay and prices on cars and shipping isn’t cheap. So I want value for my money. But I feel that AW is far better in build quality than GL and I feel I get more “bang for the buck” value in AW or an I just completely wrong? I have experienced that GL have far more issues with paint and other problems like base doesn’t fit the body or issues with wheels feeling wobbly and don’t roll well
The only way these come close to TLV quality is if you squint real hard. In my opinion they suffer from all the same issues as Greenlight and M2 with far , far less variety in new castings.
aw is a great brand, you do get issues here and there (paint flaws mostly) but for what you pay (around as much as a second-hand Car Culture car) they are great. Tomica Limited Vintage is way better though but you do get what you pay for.
Awesome showcase. Kudos as always! I do disagree a little with placing the quality of AW slightly below TLV. In my view TLV has significantly better quality. TLVs almost never have any flaws (even small flaws). Auto worlds do. They sometimes have paint flaws or wheels flaws. They sometimes have crooked bases which ruins the stance. Ever see a TLV with a flaw as egregious as a crooked base? I never have. Plus, TLVs have lens details which AWs lack. The Buick wagon would look so much better with lens headlights instead of white paint. This is particularly the case for white cars. To me the front of the AW cars is a biggest downside. ERTL Vintage American Muscle cars over 10 years ago had better detailed fronts than AW cars. Moreover, TLVs roll much better and have suspensions. That said, after adjusting for price AW cars are amazing value given the detail and QC you get. So after adjusting for price I agree with your statement. Weird fact. AW seems to be coming out with 2019 Release 2 next, but the month after they have the final mix of 2018 coming (with the Kingswood Estate in all black).
Tor-Erik Bakke all good points. Truly nothing out there compares with TLV, but I’ll put AW out there as the best maker of realistic American cars. Truly Round2’s boutique brand.
Dude u need to change the intro music ,it sounds like a strip joint. No only joking! Why isnt this product available in Australia and other countries? It sucks.
That black 66 Impala is the only one I'll grab it's the only one that is a true muscle car you know you are incredibly I'll be playing say confusing you've never said it in these words but everybody knows you hate American cars yeah you go on to say how Auto World only makes American cars and it fills the Gap you have as if you actually want them you go on about the detail but yet over 90% of what you do is Hot Wheels which is by far in every way the least detailed diecast cars ever made excluding the premium lines it makes me wonder how much round 2 paid you to showcase these American cars
Again why would a company wast money on the tooling for this JUNK , why oh why!! Who would be interested in this stuff , well on the bright side the store will be full of them over hotwheels..gezzz

The Buicks go '74 (no woodgrain), '75 (woodgrain), and now '76 (open/black inlay grille)
My dad had a 73 dodge polara when I was growing up, it was a neat car

Dont get me wrong because I will buy these but I wish auto world would expand they're model line up!
What would you like to see? A Chrysler 300 would be cool in my opinion; sort of fits the Auto World aesthetic.
Oh my gosh!!! Wow! I love Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Auto World toy cars too. They're really cool and awesome
Greenlight+Autoworld : affordable true 1:64…life’s good.
Love the black Impalas! The other impalas look epic too! both of them are really nice
Never seen an AW in a store in my life. Certainly wish I could pick some up though. Not one for buying online.
Pep Boys, Hobby Lobby, Walmart..

Awesome cars can't wait to finds the sets, thanks for sharing

Auto World due to fewer parts.
You get what you pay for as you are only paying slightly over Premium Hotwheels.
The tip is to buy them by the case. they work out cheaper that way, depending on the store.
The only way these come close to TLV quality is if you squint real hard. In my opinion they suffer from all the same issues as Greenlight and M2 with far , far less variety in new castings.

Wow beautiful cars! I’d love to have all of them! Awesome video!!
I would like to know how you get all of the vehicles
Good show John, thanks for sharing 👍

I've only had one issue with AW, the front air dam on my TA Challenger was glued on crooked.
@@boerharms2209 I have mostly had minor paint flaws. and maybe slight issues with tyres but these are very small so it's understandable.
If you look, you’ll find a paint flaw on every car. I’ve had around 300 auto world cars and it’s very rare to find one without a paint flaw
all those impalas are SICK
Wow! Where do I get them and how much?
Auto World is awesome. For me, the 66 Chevy Impala/Black is sweet. 👍
Never heard of Auto World. How much do they cost ?
Around $5.00 in the states.
New Zealand they cost around NZD$17- $20. 15% of that is GST.
Anyone know what if any retail stores sell the auto world cars
I just got mine in and I got the ultra red 76 buick estate wagon!!!!
How can I get parking car mat like yours ???
Can someone please tell me the song from the intro? Awesome track...
