What are the chances this is a last minute change due to production complications in the design, to me it seems quite low, although the ambient glow does seem overly engineered compared to a simple light strip running across the rear
Please make the light bar in rear thinner 🙏🙏🙏
It’s nice to hear that some prefer that over the hidden ambient hue 👍
It's funny how this 2025 Y is being talked about as if it's a redesign. It's just a refresh.
Fair point. It’s a huge refresh though in every way, like like what other manufacturers do during the 4 year cycle refresh
John, do you think the old version of Model Y will continue to be produced, at least for a while, as a cheaper variant?
Typically they only continue producing it at full throttle up until the successor gets announced. But it’s very possible you’ll see a ton of them sitting in inventory to buy for months after it stopped production
@heyJohnEe Yes, that's been the case previously John. However offering the older version for a while would be one way to offer a cheaper model, but if production costs are similar it may not be a good long term solution for Tesla.
@jamespaul2587 who knows they might offer stripped down version of Juniper like what they’ve done to the M3 in Mexico. That might be a more sensible method if they want to streamline production
@heyJohnEe agreed, John. I think that will be a more practical mid to long term solution, until a smaller and cheaper vehicle is produced... if that ever happens.
Thank you for the update, John! I was in a bad accident five months ago, and my four-week-old Model Y was totaled!! Since then, I've been renting cars. I can't freaking wait any longer for this car to be available for purchase. Do you think it will come out in January in the U.S. as well?
Hey Luca, sorry to hear that I hope your recovery went well! Yeah renting is a pain and I’m sure you’re really looking forward to getting in another Model Y asap. I think the US might trail behind a few weeks mainly to clear our existing inventory, but if they sellout with all the incentives available this Q4 then it might launch the same time
@@heyJohnEe Yep! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully, this car comes out sooner than later, especially before the Federal Tax credit goes away! Thank you for your response and for the BS-free channel. I will always 👍your videos! Happy Thanksgiving!
@Luca.121 fingers crossed for that 🤞 and I really appreciate the support thank you!
@@heyJohnEe So if production of the refreshed Model Y is gonna be way lower at the beginning (initial release) and Tesla is gonna still produce the older Model Y's to sell, how is Tesla going to sell the older ones? Like gigantic inventory discounts and incentives on existing inventory? Man, I'm pretty annoyed at how the federal tax credit might go away sometime in 2025 cause my state is also increasing taxes/fees on EVs in mid-2025 so buying an EV/Tesla is gonna be EXTREMELY expensive now in my state. I'm really hoping Tesla can release Model Y Juniper in the US ASAP so that I could maybe order and take delivery before any of that happens.
@liam1902 this prob just means they are ramping and producing both right now simultaneously, it will continue this way with Juniper slowly taking over the entire production line come the day it’s announced. Those vehicles probably just sit somewhere in the factory waiting to be shipped out to showroom etc. Until then they are still needed vehicles to sell at full throttles.
when will the car be released
My best guess is it would be announced some time in December and first deliveries will be in January
@@heyJohnEeJanuary is too soon for deliveries I think
Teşekkürler kardeş.
No problem! Thanks for the support
Fake leak, someone using a M3 to troll
Honestly hard to even say the pics look like a M3, it could be anything with long red light strip 🤷♂️
Glory!!! After so much struggles I now own a new house with an influx of $360,500.00 every month God has kept to his words, my family is happy again everything is finally falling into place. God bless America 🇺🇸
MY is like 1 or at least 6 months delayed. Lots of people might have bought the existing model or other cars waiting for it. When you delay things so much the end product often doesn’t live up to the hype
Hopefully that means you’ll get the Juniper and it’ll live up to everything we’ve seen so far
Gang jang, bro stop messing with our emotions.
😂
Imminent / early December / late December / start of January. So frustrating.
Why is that frustrating, it's just a few months away?
Yeah even though it seems not that far away, some people who really need a car now and it feels like forever… so I totally understand the frustration
@@jamespaul2587 it’s been “a few months away” since about June!
@stewartharris8555 that was based on speculation. Elon noted several months ago that the refresh won't be coming until 2025

💯
2023 license plate?
Do you mean the Cali plate on one of the comparisons? That’s just an example of an aftermarket light bar
What does it matter? US customers will lose $7,500 federal EV rebate in 2025.
Will this make lease prices more expensive too?
@@Oklm23yes
Tesla does sell in other countries too you know?
@@sanjaip Do they get a $7,500 EV rebate? Yeah, didn't think so.
@@KP-xi4bj that’s the point I’m making. It’s Europes best selling car and we don’t get a tax credit. They will still sell well here regardless of what happens in the US
Juniper will just get same updates as model 3
Hopefully even more

LED bar is soo ugly and stupid looking. It looks like stupid shop fronts LED and lights or red light destricts in Thailand. It's not cool and stylish. Looks cheap and stupid.
