    i always found it a bit sad that they wrote a beautiful song about john, but they never really played it properly, and its now long gone forgotten. even removed from the then and now CD

      I agree. I think it's the best thing Pete has written since '78 (for The Who) and the song is largely ignored. Radio played "Real Good Lookin Boy" instead. This song is clearly superior and lyrically much more significant.

    It seems like Roger kinda forgot the lyrics there. Pete def gave him a "look" that could only be interpreted as "Jesus H. Christ, does the guitarist have to do EVERYTHING? Moooove! Sheesh!"

      Gram Parson Pete can hear subterranean mole people in the sewers, even when he plays on stage. It’s just an ability he’s worked to strengthen over time.
