    I am amazed, a Phillipino teaching bamboo flute. Where did you learn bamboo flute, Reylan? Your video tutorial is much clearer compared to most Chinese who give tutorials on youtube. Btw, this is one thing that I regret, when I was in Xiamen , i didnt take the opportunity to learn it from the local music tutorial center. I am Indonesian.

    • @INFOSEMASATRENDZ9195

      For high octave. We need to make our lips hole more smaller and blow it more strong. Hopely you can get my point..inhale deeply first before blowing to prevent the breath sound.

    I have a question. I ordered a Chinese bamboo flute, key C in the mail. The book I'm studying from states the flute has a stopper plug inside . But there isn't anything inside. I can see right through it. There should be a cork thingy at the top inside right?

    • @KuyaReylan
      @KuyaReylan  5 лет назад

      Chinese dizi bamboo flute... looks like a normal bamboo flute.
      But the dizi bamboo flute has membrane to cover one hole.. and produce a sound (chinese sound) .. if u cover that hole using normal tape.the sound is like a normal flute.
      I dont know what you mean bg "stopper plug"

    • @ValleyData
      @ValleyData 5 лет назад

      It's different type of flute.
      No membrane, and the blowhole is closer to the flutes plugged cork end.

    • @LostPlutotarian
      @LostPlutotarian 5 лет назад

      @@ValleyData Right, mine comes with the membrane so I covered the membrane hole as instructed. Just wondering if I should be able to see all the way inside the flute or not.
      I did get a piece of cork and plug the top and it's sounding ok just need practise.

I have also done my research about dizi and it also depends what bamboo it is made out of.
