Few things I remember about that killer 2004-2005 season. First game we lose to Santa Clara, but, the next night everybody is talking about something else. And that same night was Malice at the Palace. Can't believe those guys actually beat up fans.🥶🥶 Another game I remember was Marvin Williams dunking all over somebody from FSU 😆 one thing that irked me about the game against Wake was (in my head I thought it was 30-30 for free throws for Wake) it was worse. 32-32😡😡. As no surprise to anybody, Karl Hess officiated that game. Kids before TV Teddy, we had to put up with Karl Hess, ask your parents about him; side note those 2 called Hansbrough's game at Dook in 05
I was at the Dean Dome when Marvin Williams made 'the' putback against Dook. Been going to Carolina games since I was a freshman in 1970. The loudest that I've ever heard it. A whole lot of pent up frustration simply exploded in an instant.
Thanks for sharing that Orrin! Glad for more confirmation on how loud the building was that night. A great way to put it - "Pent up frustration simply exploded in an instant"
same here by far the best moment and loudest moment I've ever heard in the Dean Smith center and I have been to easily over 100 games there. I actually got the fortune of getting to sit in the press box with Coach Robinson and Coach William's wife for a while. it was too quiet. ended up going back out to our seats and somehow we pulled through when it felt like we were definitely going to lose that game
Oh wow, ive been watching that seasons games since Theo had Raymond on his show! Man that team was explosive, watched an ncsu game wher3 they were flying all over the place. That team got so many steals!!
he was one of my favorite players but it's pretty common knowledge. he has not succeeded in most facets of his life that he has pursued just like the tattoo on his arm. I think it's pretty evident he is dying for attention. I mean he was dating a Kardashian for a while. tried hip hop. obviously pro basketball didn't pan out as much as anyone had assumed. unfortunately he went the wrong way about getting attention. you can only burn Bridges so much now. even his teammates are against him sadly

What was mccants motivation for all the stuff he did?
Tough to know honestly.
