Yorkshire Ripper serial killer Peter Sutcliffe dies of coronavirus in hospital - BBC News

- Опубликовано: 12 ноя 2020
- The serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, known as the Yorkshire Ripper, has died in hospital at the age of 74. He had coronavirus.
Sutcliffe murdered 13 women across Yorkshire and the North West of England between 1975 and 1980. He was also convicted of the attempted murder of seven other women.
West Yorkshire Police have again apologised for the way some senior officers spoke at the time about some of Sutcliffe's victims, many of whom were sex workers. The force’s chief constable said that while some of the language and attitudes may have reflected wider society at the time they were wrong then, and wrong now.
Sophie Raworth presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Danny Savage and Lucy Manning.

@@billysinge8977 I have to agree, Churchill was a bit of a biggot by 1930's values, and a lot of a biggot by modern standards. My mother, an accomplished linguist, was a young girl growing up in Leeds when this 'thing' was at the peak of his depravity. She always told me the story, that she KNEW he was faking the accent and that he was a local man. She told her mum she wanted to call the police and tell them, but out of fear her mother, my grandmother, forbade her from getting involved. It stayed with her all her life.
THat's a real shame! Amazing the extend of the damage Sutcliffe did...your mother shouldn't feel in any way accountable.
They wouldn’t have listened , the tapes convinced them .There was one officer who was convinced it was Sutcliffe and they wouldn’t listen to him she mustn’t feel bad the person who sent those tapes stopped Sutcliffe being caught earlier they had tunnel vision .
She knew he was faking the accent? So, your mother thought that the murderer, a Yorkshireman, recorded a message for the police but faked a Geordie accent to throw the cops off? You do know that's not what happened, right? A man from the north east named John Humble was caught in 2005 and imprisoned for sending police a tape recording and letters, claiming to be the murderer
No one famed an accent
Sutcliffe did not fake any accent. Wearside Jack was a completely different man, a guy called John Humble from Sunderland who had no direct connection to the case and simply got his kicks from wasting police time. He was speaking in his own native Sunderland accent.
The fact they offered him treatment is dissapointing

@Master Chief the school system is useless. The shit my mom knows she learnt while going to high school in Saskatchewan. The modern school has become a useless waste of time in my opinion.
@Master Chief besides, I don't recall there ever being courses that discussed serial killers and tragic events other than the holocaust, etc.
@Master Chief no worries. I honestly wish Canadian schools would touch more on this stuff. My mum and I enjoy looking into the psychological aspect of these people. What triggers them, the way they choose their victims and their overall patterns. If my school had made a course for that kind of stuff, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.
@Master Chief my grandparents could probably lend me some insight seeing as they both grew up in Wales but moved to Canada in the early 70s after the married in '68. I often ask them whether or not they recall hearing on the news about things like Sutcliffe, my information on UK serial killer cases are limited as I don't know too much about the history. It's horrific how incompetent the police were, it's back in a time when the police would ask a rape victim, "What were you wearing?" Not, "What was he wearing?"
The police failed with the "tapes" crap, 1, they gave them credibility in publishing them, which encouraged gordie 2, it was obvious the gordie wasn't the killer because he could never tell the police anything other than what the public knew, if he was the murderer he would have given a detail that only he and the police would know the gordie of course couldn't, basic policing they screwed up big time

i also heard from her and many other people that the PCR test arent reliable and that many people dying are marked as "Covid" death because they passed a covid test that was positif after their death and not necessarily the cause of their dying.
notice the wording by BBC: "has died in hospital at the age of 74. He had coronavirus."
-he has died in the hospital
-age 74
-he had coronavirus (more like, he tested positive for the virus)
it doesnt say he strictly died of the virus, he could have caught a infection that spread too much and then died. i am no doctor, but i saw many news article about false "corona virus death" like this. also the insentive is for news media to many punchy headlines to push the current narative. nobody is risking their popularity by saying something is wrong of fake. its either you walk the talk or you walk the plank.

I am 65 the ripper was headlines it was scary to see more and more bodies being found .Those poor women and their families it was heartbreaking .He has lived too long I also feel sorry for the nurses that had to treat him it must have been scary for them knowing how much he hates women and what he has done to so many .
Sutcliffe lived in absolute fear, every single day of his time behind bars including Broadmoor. The media were only able to report on certain cases that whistleblower staff leaked in exchange for money. He was scalded with boiling butter , stabbed with a pen multiple times in each eye (blinding him permanently in one ) he was strangled with a shoelace , had his face slashed with a broken coffee jar, punched in the face by inmates HUNDREDS of times over the years. It will never make up for what he did to those poor women all those years ago, but knowing that he suffered and was tormented , constantly fearing attack on a daily basis for 40 years , brings a little bit of joy in such a grim story
This is getting beyond a joke now.
