- The Prime Minister’s most senior and influential adviser, Dominic Cummings, has been forced out of Downing Street.
A power struggle had erupted, involving Mr Cummings and his ally Lee Cain, Downing Street’s Direct of Communications, who are both ardent supporters of Brexit.
They had been blamed for a series of communications crises and a macho culture at the heart of government.
Their departure also raises questions about the future direction of UK government policy, at a time when negotiations with the EU about a post-Brexit trade deal have reached a crunch point.

I wouldn’t want to be around when a “no deal” Brexit becomes a reality either. At least he has the money to flee to another country to watch the chaos unfold on TV. Suppose there’s no point waiting until Christmas now the public already knows his intentions.
Boris has no choice to take what ever deal EU offer him now. Joe biden Democratic party is not going to trade with UK in any way that will undermine Europe or the good Friday agreement. So basically Brexit was a shot in the foot because we will still be in the Eu with no membership benefits

The irony is that with the UK out of the EU, it’s more likely that UK companies will want to relocate to elsewhere within the EU with their help, as opposed to the EU helping companies set themselves up within the UK, which they previously did.
