I’ve owned one of his boards. Them boards from late 70’s were the best and made to last. Today’s boards are way too soft and don’t even last a summer. My Bob Mc Tavish cost $185 and I traded it for a twin fin 2 years later. They were the days.

his dad took him to a surf repair shop and he thought : that's what I want to do ... my dad took me nowhere ... once I came back home from school , and said : dad , can I go to the beach with my friends ? ... No you go to school ... I won't allow you to become a beach bum ... that's how you ruin kids ... I tell ya !
