It’s good to have emotions. It’s also healthy to cry. The problem isn’t emotions,it’s the fact that some people “don’t have them”. Therefore they think it’s weird when others do.

    2. Not everything is about you :)
    3. Be companionate to someone that made you feel this.
    4. Know yourself to not really take everything serious.

personally for me , i would admit that i am a highly emotional and sensitive person . i cry very easily and it is hard for me to control my emotions in front of others , but what hurts more is that other people say stuff like "WHY ARE U SO WEAK" , "JUST STOP CRYING" as this makes me feel that i am just irritating and my emotions are useless to pour yk. i am a cancerian and honestly i hate this trait of mine being "emotional" or "sensitive" as this just makes me look pathetic in front of others

I know now that the situation itself is not as serious as i make it out to be in my head and that it truly is NOT personal. Nothing is ever really personal. I just finished school for real estate and am going in that direction, but I still work in the service industry now and between customers and my coworkers it's so draining. I'm constantly so aware of other peoples micro-expressions and tones etc. And I get so anxious and don't know what to do. I don't want to under react or overreact if someone is genuinely rude or disrespectful to me. I don't know how other people handle that shit so well.

On a positive note, yesterday at work my coworker reacted really abrasively to me over a simple question, and even my other coworker made a face at me (signaling 'wow that was rude of him'), and I just said "oh ok", and as the shift went on he made comments about how anxious he was that day and how he had a really rough night etc. I definitely understood that he was trying to explain why he reacted the way he did earlier, without talking about it explicitly. That helped remind me to not take these things personally, I don't know what they're dealing with. I'm a very bubbly, friendly person who leaves their emotions at home. For better and for worse, I don't think my emotions are other people's responsibility. So I don't understand people who do, but that's okay, I don't need to. I just need to move on and stay in that happy mindset.

This hits home. I've always been a sensitive person. But I can always manage it when other people does or says something which made me angry or hurt me but when it comes to people whom i love and care about it's a different story. Like i get hurt so easily, and I'm someone who doesn't like to hide it when I'm displeased. I always end up telling people how what they did hurt me. They get defensive. I don't blame them. It's not like they're doing it intentionally but still I'd have loved it if they were little considerate. Anyway. Because of all this, everyone's becoming little distant because they don't know how to behave around me, neither do I. Again I don't blame anyone but myself.
I have decided to change it, want to take baby steps and not let everything evryone says get into my heart.

especially coming to terms with "not everyone is like you" because like you said, people have different behaviours, values, morals etc. eg. one person might only ever yell at someone for doing an absolutely terrible thing and even then might feel bad and wonder if they were too harsh, but someone else might view yelling at others as a normal behaviour for venting their everyday life frustrations/anxieties and not give it a second thought, they may feel better after doing it
But we have to accept that's just them and we can't control it!

I’m also a sensitive person, always have been, but I’m nowhere near your personal growth haha, I’m such an overthinker, I overthink the slightest thing out of believing someone will think badly of me if they took it the wrong way because I failed to explain myself clear enough, so I gotta get tangled up in my explanation like I usually would, just to make sure they understand my intentions.
Working in customer service has honestly been the worst experience ever (not the money, the actual yelling and abuse). It got to a point I got very anxious every time the phone ringed (it was a call center for a huge American company) I would sweat and my heart would rush, it was horrible, I was so afraid they would yell at me and gift them money in advance so that they’d be happy, but even before that, I would think to myself that it would be the last customer service job I’d do out of how horrible it was. For sure I’m always on the brink of crying every time someone raises their voice at me tho, whoever that may be.
I really don’t know how I’m going to get to the point you’re at, maybe I’ll read some book that’ll enlighten me in a way no one did before, or I’ll grow out of it to the point of catching and ignoring ppls bs, but I sure hope it happens soon because I need to get a job and I don’t have a degree, so it will have to be customer service again 😥 (I’m just 23 tho)
Are you an INFJ tho? I recently found out I am and also found out what this personality type is characterized by and I’m shook at how accurate it is, and based on your videos and the fact you like thinking and reflecting and growing (like, a lot), and me recently finding out my fav activity IS thinking and reflecting (always gotta throw a random fact I learned about anything to ppl 🤣) I’m thinking you may be! But that is the coolest thing, finding someone with the same interest as me, I’ve always felt misunderstood bc no one’s ever shared my interests and point of view

Thank you. This was quite helpful. I’m highly sensitive and I am going to a new job. I’m going to try to use this information because I can cry at the drop of a hat if anyone says anything in a sharp tone. A lot of times they are projecting and maybe they just need something or to be validated that they are upset. It’s often not about you- a stranger, but they are overwhelmed by their emotions and taking it out on whom they can do so without too much repercussion. However, I think you do have to be careful not to accept uncivil actions from others in the workplace. This leads to them thinking they can get away with it and continue to be rude. Listen, pause and reflect, but stand up for yourself and speak your truth with kindness and respect.

I feel like this is the most SPOT ON video/piece of advice I've seen when it comes to this topic. All of these tips are the same ones I tell myself when I feel hurt by what others say and this helps me feel validated. As you said for yourself, I used to dwell on an unpleasant social interaction for days after it happened. I still do that sometimes but not for as long as I used to. Thank you for this 💜

my mom drives me crazy 24/7. it's hard not to crack and give in to her arguing and pestering, and I often start crying when she gets to yelling at me.
    thank you.

Okay first of all I got to say that I love your dark hair, Michelle! I liked the bleached version too ofc 🧡 and yeah, I’m the case of being sensitive I’m just like you for real xD but somehow the older I get, the more thick skinned I become (also my boxing exercises have done miracles to my self confidence!) Although the worst type of criticism that would immediately set me up is criticizing my writing and all that, I’m always like I TRUSTED YOU, YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE FUN NOT CRITICIZE ME XD buuut maybe I’ll get it fixed in the future. Thanks for your insight, Michelle! And happy spring holidays to you 🧡 (we have Easter this weekend here and somehow my house has never been more disorganized before, our fridge is literally running on empty xD)

OMG, sorry i missed this, but thank you so much Jules😭😭❤️ yes you always get me, it definitely makes sense though, and its valid to feel that way especially considering how much you care about your writing, I still have my moments as well. But we're all still learning and trying and I hope you are able to find peace in any comments that come your way! Hope your spring had been treating you well:) wishing you all the best this season🥰

May I speak Michelle about the (I) in Spiritual Literature the( I) is attached to our Egotistical personality rather than our Soul personality. When we say i, as you know comparing our ( i) to there’s. I’ve learned as you stated at the end of the video we begin to think in alignment with a more understanding perception. What have they been through, why are they upset today.
We should be more constructive in our criticism. CG Jung is pretty famous for this. He has a Theory that condemning people causes oppression in most cases.
But enough of my advice you have yet again expressed your uniqueness.
