  • Gabriela Mistral: Rural school teacher from a very young age, pedagogue later of international stature - she was hired by the Mexican Government to reform its educational system , diplomat with a career as consul in numerous countries, including Spain, the Chilean Gabriela Mistral (1889 1957) is one of the peaks of poetry in Spanish of all time. Translated into dozens of languages, recognized and admired by readers from all over the world and from different cultures, in 1945 it was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. She was the first Ibero-American woman to receive a Nobel Prize.
"Kisses" is one of her most famous poems, one of those that best portrays her as a poet. It talks about kisses of all kinds, about love and pain, about loyalty and betrayal. That verse and a half that closes the poem and that had already appeared a few stanzas before, "my kisses, / invented by me, for your mouth", moves like few other literary passages.

¿Cómo son tus besos? 💋 Son besos míos, inventados por mí, para tu boca.
