I realize I'm very late in commenting on this video, but after just watching it and reading some of the comments I encourage you to disregard the haters. This was EXCELLENT work. I have seen many bikes out there that look like crap and you immediately know the owner has no pride in his ride. The CVO I just purchased doesn't look as good as this bikes end result. However, I have owned bikes all my life and I have always took pride in the bike, whether it was a $1K used bike or a $50K new CVO. Some people will just never understand . Keep up the fantastic work!!
HO-LY COW! Man I thought I had been detailing my bike but after watching this display of detailing witchcraft I feel like parting mine out. Well done man! When you started pulling the luggage rack off the tour pack I started writing a letter to the President to nominate you for a Medal of Honor. Dude...this is level ‘black belt’ detailing. I was waiting for you to pull the tires off and clean the inside of the rims. NO WAY the customer appreciates all you did...I hope they watched the video!
Excellent job! I think it takes a certain temperament for a person to perform a task like this. A love for what they are doing, patience to do it right, pride and enjoyment. Those characteristics all come through on this video. With all of the labor involved and man hours, whatever you charge is worth it.
I've had my Harley since '09. I've never washed it or waxed it but it looks great. It only has a little over 20K on it so I don't ride that much. I will wax it for the first time this fall because I plan on leaving it out over the winter (I live in a mild climate and don't have a garage)..and this video is a great help. P.S. I like this music...so much better than the death, hard metal music one usually hears on these Harley sites. LOL
Nice work! I live on three miles of dirt road before I get to pavement....no matter how I start, but the time I get off the mountain my bike's dirty. So far it's the only drawback to living in the middle of nowhere.
Great job guys! Just bought a 07 CVO ultra and heading to Daytona in 2 days. I so wish I had time to have this done before I left. It looked showroom before I got it and started riding it like hell. LOL. I will be having this done upon my return. Love the color.
That was the most amazing Detailing job I have ever seen. I used to detail airplanes and you guys really did a great job! I wish you were closer to me in Florida, we could sure use you . Thumbs Up Guys !!!
Nice work - your process is not all that different to mine. If you remove the centre console on the tank, it'll allow you to polish further in. This can be handy if there are scratches parallel and close to the console (pretty common with Harleys like these). Get yourself a table hoist or an atv jack as it'll allow you to spin the wheels. It'll save your back, too. Keep up the great work, Mike
Man it almost looks like a different color. alot deeper for sure. good work. I have to do my bike , I watched this video to see if I should take off all my tins or just do it on the bike. seems do able on the bike. tnx
Yeah this client has a ton of different bikes for different occasions but rides them all depending what's going on and if he has a passenger or not. Definitely not the worst bike we have got in for a detail.
with the windshield off you have about 8 more screws to take the front bat wing fearing off. You want to talk about getting dirty, bet in behind the radio and the head bearings for the triple tree. Mine looked really clean until I pulled that off. 20 years of road grime in that grease. My hats off to you for the amount of work you put into prep. Taking all that apart was a nightmare. I have literally a twin to this. I left 90% of mine off and never put it back lol
With the detailer it's never good enough, but I bet the customer was blown away!! That was an excellent job, those bikes are difficult to do. I built a stand out of 2x10's so the wheels can spin and the bike is upright and stable but you still need a Jack to get it up there.
This is one good customers bikes and he is always bringing back to get cleaned up. Appreciate the kind words! I do eventually need to get a system to roll wheels someway!
Alot of extra work to take tour pack, side covers etc off but, makes the job much much better. As you mentioned, a lift helps so you can turn the wheels, also gets the motorcycle up a little. Taking the wheels off is a bad idea relative to the benefit. The axle nut on a motorcycle has a torque specification that puts the proper preload on the bearings. To remove the back wheel, you have to remove a muffler, loosen the belt tensioners, etc. Then reassembly requires adjusting the drive belt, proper torque of axle nut.

I used to detail Harleys for a living. I’d use a work table and motorcycle jack to spin the tires, made it much easier to clean wheels and tires while sitting on a mechanics stool. Paint Correction God this one will be around $500-$600 but they vary greatly. Took longer than expected but I’ll stick to my estimate price I gave customer.
Little late to the party on this one but boy as a one man operation and a avid Harley rider I wouldn’t remove this no much stuff from a client’s bike no matter how many I’ve done. All it takes is that one time. When I work on Brother’s bike if they want things other then the saddlebags removed they do it themselves. But that’s just me like I said as a one man show it’s a risk I’m not willing to take
Definitely understand what ya mean Justin!! After removing hundreds of bags and Harley parts we feel more than confident in doing so. One thing we do not do is pull wheels, we have a Harley shop near by that can do that if needed. If we would happen to break or mess up something (cross our fingers it has never happened) we would do a full replacement and fix everything back to as it was. Part of running a professional detail shop is not only to do as good as of a job as possible since the clients come to us for the best service possible but it is also very important as you stated to not do or remove things that you are not comfortable with. It is extremely difficult to install PPF or do a full ceramic coating without removing parts that are in the way. I wouldn't have a part time/new guy do our bikes no matter how much they say they know. Generally I am the only one to remove and disassemble, if I mess up it comes out of my piggy bank. 18yrs so far and haven't messed up someones bike yet and plan to keep it that way as much as possible. Fingers crossed!! lol Thanks for watching brother!!
I used SP100 on the (aluminum) cooling fins of my Victory Jackpot. I rinsed thoroughly. I found it stained the aluminum and it took hours of elbow grease and wet sanding to restore. Read the instructions. If it says "not for use on aluminum" I strongly suggest you pay attention to that.
How to clean an already clean Harley. First disasemble it. Then claim how dirty it was while you are cleaning it. When done ride it around the block to the bar and show your buddies how good it looks. Then drink at the bar and get on motorcycle and go home.

Fingers crossed!! lol
Thanks for watching brother!!
what is he buffing it with ???? what product ???
Mezerna 2500 w/ a Rupes LHR75E DA Machine and Rupes Yellow 3" Pad
3 days to clean a bike?
Typically 12-16hrs. We generally have them here for a week minimum to complete. Generally don't tackle them all at one shot.
No westleys bleech white for the pin stripe white walls...still a great job though just being extra critical ....lol ✌
Jaime Cunningham tire cleaner dries out your tires and dryrots them just an fyi lol
Whose tires have time to dryrot? Ride that thing and replace 'em when the tread is gone.
Very good tip!!
I've been using simple green 50 50 with tap water. Not on the paint, but all else. No issues over the last 10 years of Harleys.
what is that mist thing call he used at the beginning?
Tornador
How mach? And how many time?
I touched a dirty part of my frame with my cloth and then rubbed some chrome.. how do I remove light spider webbing from chrome
More than likely the only way you will remove them is a light machine polish.
keep it up..
Tour Pack brother
your better than good
I feel like any high dollar motorcycle needs to go in for at least one good professional level detail a year minimum.
What do you charge to do a detail like this?
$400-600
He’s never going to want to ride it again due to being to clean lol
What is the mister you used?
That was a Tornador. amzn.to/3dmmGFD
How to clean an already clean Harley. First disasemble it. Then claim how dirty it was while you are cleaning it. When done ride it around the block to the bar and show your buddies how good it looks. Then drink at the bar and get on motorcycle and go home.
