i find it so impressive and especially inspiring you've managed to do all these in such a short time. your sketchbook tours (and livestreams, too) feel so soothing and genuinely motivating ♥
FOUNTAIN PEN MENTION!!! Glad to see someone else who uses these for sketching like this. I find it helps me draw looser because you straight up cannot erase anything, so you have to move on if the drawing isn't to your liking.
So many beautiful earthy tones! I am trying to get more loose with my sketchbooks and sometimes just be ok with doing doodles or swatches without feeling compelled to finish every illustration. Your sketchbooks are always an inspiration
You have no idea just how much i love your style, it feels realistic but still stylized and its a perfect balance of the two and I love them so much. And I'm super obsessed with the pens and inks, do you have or think you could make a list of all the specific ones you have? I think i could find the pens easily but I'd love to find those specific inks to buy for myself
my gosh thank you, that means a lot ;^; oh gosh I have quite a lot but I could probs manage that. The main ones are my fountain pens, which are a lamy safari, hongdian blackforest fude, kaweco sport, and some others I don't use as much. Mostly using diamine inks, like diamine celadon cat, diamine ochre, whatever colour takes my fancy. My waterproof ink is deatramentis document brown
Finchwing, I wanted to say that you are a part of why I started animating! You are so creative and I watched the animation interview a long time ago that you were in! I found it so inspiring! What I actually wanted to say... you make such great content and I love your videos! And you are super creative and great!🧡🧡🧡
I love seeing your sketchbook tours, they always inspire me pick up my pens. I like how each page has its own story :) Do you have tips for setting up a local sketchbook club?
I just kinda went for it, it was quite easy in my area tbf cause I already know a bunch of artists in London so I just kinda told them about it and they invited their friends if they wanted to. You could probs see if you have a local facebook group to advertise or set up a flier in a library or something
I didn't use any alcohol markers here, just water based ones, alcohol markers are notorious for bleeding through D: type of paper will help yea, I like thicker paper so it's more versatile for mixed media, but you can get marker specific paper if you wanna use a lot of markers! (There still might be bleed through with alcohol markers, but the paper will take the ink better)
I love how this sketchbook is actually quite simple, I get overwhelmed at artists using 100 different mixed media’s and stuffing their books full so it’s nice to see something more simple and beautiful regardless. Btw, I recently moved into AUB, any advice for a fresher lol
aw wah thank you, that means a lot to hear ;o; I def don't wanna shy away from sharing my 'ugly' stuff, I admit I'm getting more into mixed media but it's taken years of just simple ink drawings to get to this point. It's beneficial and fun to just be scruffy and sketchy and carefree Oh YOO congrats omg I hope you like it!! Advice is hard but I think like, don't worry bc everyone's in the same boat, don't be afraid to put urself out there, friends u make in uni will likely be lifelong friends and colleagues so it's worth getting to know people
Yooo thqt art safari and london drawing group are exactly the kind of things Ive been dreaming of joining!! Is there anywhere where i can find more details about the two?
artsafari has a website if you google it! I think they're starting up speedsketching again soon, you get the zoom link when you sign up for their newsletter. My London drawing club has a discord group!

I could try !!
Stardew Valley Summer Theme Spotted 👉 Gosh your art is so
YESS i was gonna do autumn but I realised this was kinda during summer time so oops, thank you waaah ;o;
This is awesome! How do you get it so the marker doesn’t bleed through to the page underneath? Is it just the type of paper?
I didn't use any alcohol markers here, just water based ones, alcohol markers are notorious for bleeding through D: type of paper will help yea, I like thicker paper so it's more versatile for mixed media, but you can get marker specific paper if you wanna use a lot of markers! Actually birds of prey are called raptors because some dinosaurs actually became modern day birds.
For example, the t-Rex became the chicken
