My last relationship with a narcissist ended rather abruptly after I told him that I did not believe in "soulmates" and that I believed people should tell the truth to their romantic partners. God literally saved me.

@@catherineclinton911 it was in natural conversation and in front of his children. He realized I couldn't be manipulated and he started setting up fights after that. It was over within a week from me saying I don't believe in soulmates. The first time we actually had a disagreement, he bailed. So I guess he only believed in "soulmates" when there were no disagreements ever. I feel very sad for his children. They will live with him as a model.

They aren't the same. The old occult people make deals with idols. New Age people "manifest" things. The pagan at least has the humility to admit their own mortality and thus worships something else as a lower-case g god. New Age people on the other hand worship themselves and low-key claim to be gods.
This relationship has taught me that I only find my identity in who Christ says I am. Hard lesson to learn but needed. I made choices that led me here. I have no one to blame but myself. I've been so foolish. Jesus have mercy on me. Please guide me.
Never blame yourself regardless of decisions you made. This situation is not something you even see coming....they are like players,very slick ,for the purpose of getting close to you so you believe they can be trusted when they are actually looking for ways to hurt you! The best thing you can do to protect yourself is don't tell them anything personal you don't want told to others and if you can run as far away as possible.
The Lord recently delivered me also, from my sinful choice, to continue to court a lady, who said she was Christian, but most certainly wasn't! How do I know? Well, by the way she ignored, breadcrumbed, and did a complete reversal in her relating to me. I went no contact with her, 3 months ago, and in that time,have gained great knowledge of who a narcissist is. THEY ARE VERY WICKED AND DANGEROUS PEOPLE! YOU SEE, EVEN THOUGH I RECEIVED THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE, 53 YEARS AGO, I STILL CHOSE TO IGNORE THE LORDS LEADING. THANKFULLY, HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER! THIS WOMAN, NOW WANTS TO RETURN TO ME, BECAUSE HER FORMER ,"SUPPLY" DIDN'T WORK OUT. I'M AFFRAID NOT!! We all feel that way, but we were manipulated and led to believe something we thought was true, but was only an illusion. We all know there is evil, just never realized how evil would play out. The word warns us but doesn't tell us exactly how they will trick us. thats on us to learn so that we see it and know what to look for. We know now.

But that’s only IF YOU SURVIVE. I realized I was choosing to be blind & deaf to G-D’s red flags & “hoping for the best” outcome for this person, bc we were “friends”. They’d helped me so I was committed to helpg them. I never thought I could save them but I was excited for what G-D could do in his/her life. However, freedom wasn’t valuable enough to them to make sacrifices so they returned to their lifestyle. After leaving the manipulator I was threatened ganged up on & stalked but I’m forever grateful to G-D that He never let me stay stuck & in danger. They couldn’t lay their hands on me. Freedom & JOY are PRICELESS !!

I escaped an atom bomb. Charming covert narc. He came across as very religious. Yet prively....he was so toxic. Lived a lifestyle of a lost soul. I was so shocked l had to block, delete him. I know something saved me. I was so codependent, p.pleaser, nice. He almost destroyed me. He was so jealous of me cause l am not lost. I set bounderious...he voilated consistently. I rejected he's advances. He's new mate is very repressed, meek person. God love her. In gratitude for the awakening of my issues so l find my ROAR.

I recently started attending a new church which turned out to be full of lying narcs who literally gathered in a corner of the room and gossiped while looking across at me.
One of them later told me to 'go away with your negative energy'. Nowhere does God's Word speak of any sort of 'energy' but the New Age always does. God speaks of SPIRITS.
And "WO to those who call good evil and evil good, who put light for darkness and darkness for light, wo put sweet for bitter and bitter for sweet."
Every church i go to has bad vibes.

I received....at first....free meals, (I offered to pay my way more than once), toe rings and a microwave oven, plus endless trips to dizzy world (disney) he had annual passes. Introduced me to his family, and then at the end, when I inquired that if we weren't moving forward in our situationship, why would he intro me to his close family, I was told, "you read too much into it." I broke it off. I had wasted a mere 7 months, but imagine how I might have been able to meet a decent, loving man in that time span while waiting for atheist hookup to straighten out. I had a couple of decent men in my past who sent me flowers and most likely would have made good husbands. I look back now and can blame the losers whom I chose to spend time with, but it was MY CHOICES back in the day that led me where I am now. I had low self esteem, and didn't think I deserved a rock solid, good man and here I am. My life's not over, if I'm able to begin to value myself then I may still have a chance. Great vid. Thank you.
The only soulmate we need is God, and with the Holy Spirit, we should not fall prey to the false idea we need someone else to fulfill us, because it opens us up for manipulation and abuse.

The ex would go on about how we were "soulmates." We met in a Bible-believing church. Can't begin to tell you the hell I went through until he decided there was a better soulmate out there. He divorced me and I praise the Lord that he did.

I used that term, soul mate, one time. I came to realize that she had many "soul mates' beside me. After that I was very careful to use the term I love you.

They gather a lot of gullible ones they can manipulate but occasionally they get one that's not gullible but just has a lot of faith in kindness and patience with love being able to change someone. So these ones put in more work to save the relationship. Giving them unintentionally supply. They have ranked their victims Narcissist have in their minds so to always know who's next to return to but the MVP never takes them back, so their return is in vain.

Said his woman, my replacement spent all his $.The emotional, mental & psychological abuse was horrific. I moved 800 miles away.

I fell for this, I was on the straight and narrow path and then I was told that God sent my husband. I did not pray for a husband, I simply asked God to send me help to raise my son because my soon to be husband did not work out.
The pastor said when I asked God for help he sent a help mate. Then her daughter interrupted a series of dreams I was having later as God revealing who my husband was.
I learned later that he was a phony and a huge liar, cheater, abuser etc. once I finally left the married with now 5 children, he went online and around the city to bad mouth me and lie on me to everyone. He knew I didn’t speak to too many people. He told me he would make sure that no one would ever want me or help me. At the end I would have to run back to him. He would make sure.
Not going back to demons and evil spirits. Praise God for deliverance and freedom. God is back in control.

Make an escape plan and get out. I did after 36 yrs of being married to a narcissist. I had help from our kids, who wanted me out of that relationship as badly as I did.

Wow! This truly speaks to my spirit as I have been groomed as a “ chosen one”, groomed to be perfect after already having lived in an occultic family for generations, which caused me to walk on eggshells, and I couldn’t do anything right. I had to be perfect which is impossible since we’re not God.
Adam said she is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh, and I believe that means she was his compatible partner, not soul of his soul. We must be complete in Christ as partners. When one dies the flesh, aches, but the soul does not depart the spouse as if they were one soul. What does that mean exactly? Soul mates? The two become one flesh not one soul.

The ex husband's family went to church. none of them believe, they follow evilution. I asked him several times when he accepted Christ as his Savior, he said he'd tell me later, or mentioned it was at church. I KNOW what I went through with him and his family. I caught them selling opioids from a friend of the hospital working staff to afford their big expensive home. sneaky wolves and snakes in the church.
I was involved in NAM many years ago. I did a lot of damage at that time thinking I was a goddess and other nonsense…that was many years ago. Thankfully the Lord saved me over 30 years ago. I am 69 and so thankful for the mercy God has shown me. ❤
My husband discarded me, constructively abandoned the marriage. And while doing so gave me the silent treatment for months prior to leaving.....before he left he made a point to say that he could find him someone else, and he said usually when you find someone else, you usually find someone better....

This is a great Video. This brings back painful memories which i have been enduring. My relationship of 5 years ended 3 months ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. The church I grew up in taught this lie. But it worked for me while dating. When she left I would say, “well we weren’t meant to be”and moved on. Then when I married the narcissist and things went wrong during honeymoon, I said, “Well maybe it’s my destiny to have toxic relationships” and suffered in silence praying and believing that the good days and my dreams coming true are just around the corner… That was 35 years ago… it’s too late for me now but if you are out there dating and she or he says “we are meant to be” don’t walk away, RUN!

When I was engaged it felt off. I decided to decline marrying him and he told me God told him that we were suppose to be together. God did not tell me that, but I thought that maybe God really told him that so we ended up getting married. I have always wondered if it was manipulation so its best to be perfectly at peace with a major decision like that.
No one else on Earth can validate you! You must first honestly Love yourself before you can truly love someone else. Trying to love someone without loving yourself is like trying to fill someone else’s cup from a well that is dry. You have nothing to give them! No one else can ‘complete’ you. I walked away from the narcissists in my life soon as I could recognize that is what it was. They are getting more deceptive and tricky. Depending on what their intentions are for the relationship and that depends on your value to the narcissists
I sat under a pastor for seven years. Very manipulative, arranging marriages, breaking-up engagements, and much more. Seemed so nice but actually a very harsh man. He would twist scripture for money, and control. Forty five years later he is still at it.

😢😢😢. I"ve been out of it for 7 yrs. but it is hard to forget. His new partner probably gets all the soulmate letters and gazes and tears of joy that he used to give me. Then the devaluations. Like a seesaw. I felt very lonely in it.
Been there, done that. It's hell being in a narcissistic relationship. It took me 7 years to get the courage up to leave. I will never do this again. God helped me to love myself again.

15 years for me as well. She left when the "in sickness" finally happened to me. I awoke from my coma to find she was gone and had taken everything. The hospital staff began enlightening me with this data and these videos to discover how stereotypical her behaviours had been. I had always thought of myself as a Romantic since I was 12 ... but I guess she took that part of my heart too.

"Soulmates" is such 70s New Age nonsense. A soul mate is somebody who is working with you every day, not against you, not creating drama and problems, not stressing you out, costing you money and making your life harder. And then you can just drop the word 'soul' since it is really neither here nor there.
Just like how the man I was seeing that has been separated from his wife for 10+ years that our relationship was blessed by God because he and God hashed it out and it was fine. NOT!!! That is not the God I know.
I don’t view a soulmate as some cosmic wonder. Hardly. A soulmate simply means this is a soul you find deeply compatible. You’re mates. It’s really that simple. It does not have to be toxic at all. Deep love between two people is real and it was created by God.

I appreciate this commentary. I feel like many within churches also push this soulmate view. Its part of the reason why I was stuck for many extra years with my narcissist, now ex-wife. Anything I did to break free was used against me, while I was being cheated on abused. All the while, I was blamed for her behavior and refused help. I did eventually leave and it was the best choice. God opened my eyes. Its funny how many men I know who have endured similar.
As far as relationships and/or marriage we'd do ourselves a HUGE favor IF we would ASK GOD....known as prayer ! ......who to be with is ok with HIM, then maybe we'd be happier !?!

Kingdom spouses are real, but this involves that you are sanctified and consecrated by God, He tells you that He has someone for you and when you meet someone, you pray about it few times before dating the person, so it’s very supervised. It’s not a soulmate, it’s your ordained spouse by God and there are many testimonies of couples who got together like that. Of course that it takes years from your salvation to this point.
This obviously doesn’t apply to narcissists because kingdom spouses are already on the narrow path, in daily relationship with God, on their purpose and completely reliant on the Lord.
The narcissist believes that he deserves the perfect partner because he “is perfect” and as a result, nobody is good enough for him. The truth is that those who are free from sin and happily living with God, are highly protected and the narc never meets them.

Sadly many and falling victim to narcissists by believing these “prodigal spouses” are their God ordained husband. In new age they call this exact same scenario “twin flames”. I know this because before was saved I was into new age and watch countless videos about twin flames. Now I see countless Christian’s making videos about kingdom spouses & prodigals and they are identical , just different phrasing. :(

I’m all about accountability. I was married to one of these people and they didn’t wanna be accountable to anything. I do have a question for you. What do you do with the Isaac and Rebecca story? That is valid.
God does bring people together, we have to maintain that relationship. Issac and Rebekah took care of their marriage, they loved each other, they probably had their challenges when Rebekah couldn’t get pregnant but they took care of each other. We could destroy what God gave us and entrusted us to do life together, by being ungodly to our spouse in many areas. That’s why we have to search ourselves, be forgiving, take a few shots to our ego and pride, and love even though it gets hard. But we also have to draw the line, we can be getting abused verbally or mentally or physically and the other person refuses to stop and continues to be ungodly.
We don’t have to be in that relationship according to Deuteronomy 24

People misquote Malachi 2 about God hating divorce, in the Hebrew it doesn’t say that. It’s God quoting a man saying that he hates divorce. And this man is being wicked by torturing his spouse by not letting her go just cuz he doesn’t want to write the divorce out but then again is mistreating her all the time. Even again in Deuteronomy a wife can leave the husband if he is not providing shelter, money, food, and sex for her to be in a safe stable condition, she can leave him.
The hard part is not what the Bible says, it’s letting go of someone you love even if they would’ve let you go and never looked back. Or especially because they are in the wrong and refuse accountability and are unforgiving. They won’t do for you what you’ve done for them because you loved them, but they don’t love you

When I met our LORD and savior Jesus Christ, I started to see that everyone around me was a narcissistic stronghold holding captive my kindness for weakness. I always tried to keep the peace even before I knew the prince of peace, Jesus Christ. Such a burden he graciously took. I am not perfect, but I follow the 1 who is! The term soul mate, now, feels like early love bombing and a psychological set up. I wonder what if theres such a thing as a healthy soulmate? I mean I knew of that term way back as a kid and always assumed it's just about the perfect match! But narcissist weaponize the dream?
Been there, done that. I left the narc 7 years ago and continue to reclaim myself. I sacrificed myself for over 30 years waiting for my “soulmate” to return. Bah humbug.
There are no soulmates.
No promise is worth the misery. No voe holds me. Hell no.
I once thought I had a dream of the woman I was meant to marry. Met who I thought was the girl in the dream. She figured out pretty early I had some kind of sign. All my elders told me not to tell her. I did. That was the single most toxic relationship I’ve ever been in so far in my life.
We are not automatons we have Free Will, just choose someone who has your values. That’s it.

You see this belief a lot among single Christians, this one ideal person God will bring at the perfect time, once you attain some elusive state of contentment. No self improvement, no proactive work on their part, just waiting........yet years go by and they're still single.

My wife & I have been married for many decades. We get each others humor, and have like tastes, and we both seek Christ. We are in our twilight years and life without her would be so difficult. Soulmates? Naaah!

It has taken me over 5 years to get rid of the narc in my life and still yet, he hasn't picked up the last of his things. I've had to get a court order to have his stuff removed... or else.
Twin Flame is probably the most malignant way they ensure a stream of supply. Several soul mates start off as twin flames then get demoted to soul mate and then kindred spirit. Truly, Truly, there is no need for the spirit to speak through labels, when the heart is aligned with the true light, the true Christ.
As an Atheist, I endured a profoundly narcissistic wife for over 30 years. She is a devout Catholic.

The whole twin flames/soulmates story is just an interesting side story concept to entwine peoples’ belief in the mystical. The truth is, love and companionship is easy and simple among kindred souls.
This is one of the few comments I put it on your videos, but I am pausing this video to say that I do like your thoughts here and almost every video that I’ve come across on your channel. You and I may disagree on a lot and not see Eye to Eye but I do appreciate the ones that you make and I think there’s a lot of thought and scripture behind them.
I don't think I have ever said my husband was my soul mate, but I do say he is perfect. All the values I hold most dear, he holds dear, his "flaws" either don’t effect me (style issues etc) or they rub me the wrong way and help me to be a better person ( direct communication as opposed to the triangulation I grew up with). We made a point of putting Christ at the center of our marriage, because in Him we are complete. This is a really nice confirmation that we are on the right track.
This ties in to another, larger, mistaken belief that God has a very specific plan for our lives, and if we fail to somehow guess right with every decision, we will be, and deserve to be, punished for it.
