  • As the title states.....our last trip of the 2023 fishing season. I struggle with a grind of a tog bite, but end up with 9 keepers fishing solo. And ANOTHER possibly Double digit tog.
Back to our regularly scheduled tuna vids next week!!! I HAVE TONS TO SHARE STILL!!!!

You’re exactly right with the northeast wind, whatever noaa calls for NE add it together. I did my last trip New Year’s Day I had 8 keepers myself and my personal best just over 10 lbs on the boga that I released. I’m thinking about putting a trolling motor on the boat too, just don’t know if it’s worth the money with how much I bottom fish, I’m sure I would do more if I had one, and it does save a lot of time instead of double anchoring

What do you do for work? I spent 33yrs as firefighter so our schedule in FL. is 24hr on 48hr off, was always able to fish, dive, hunt whenever. Keep up the good work.

I do shift work. Problem is my shifts have zero flexibility. If i'm not there....I'll get my walking papers.

Dude. The entire Melbourne/Indialantic area is vastly different. So sad honestly. Very recognizable and still brings back all the memories. But darn it sure has changed

You should trailer that thing down to Florida and make a Bahamas run. My pop used to love wreck fishing. I hated it cause we didn't have a winch for the anchor 😂. There was a wreck like 5 1/2 off LBI out of LEI called the boiler. We used to mangle big tog on that wreck. I dove it and speared a 13.4lb tog. Inside the boiler(had a giant hole) was loaded with fish. Idk if it's still decent, that was in the 90s. I think it maybe where you were hitting. It was an old wooden vessel so around it is decent for fluke plus Little Egg reef is in that area. The holegate is good as well. Small metal trawler

If i had the time in the winter I would absolutely trailer down south. Thanks as always for watching and commenting.

@@reaperfishingnj8623 i took my starcraft down there a few years ago. It's just not fair down there. I'm going to do it this fall and camp on Peanut Island. Literally 10 seconds from the inlet. Can be in 500ft of water in less then 10 minutes 😂

Happy New Year Captain! I work grave yardshift 5pm-3am Mon night into Sat morning. Weather is always nice during the work week, (Sunday, my only day to actually fish- 99% of the time its blowing or a washout) - that includes any vacation I tend to pick also😂
