The old hook in the finger problem. It's bad enough when it's not attached to a fish, but one handed pike unhooking is quite an art. It's always the little 'uns that inflict injuries like that.
Once was enough for me! Size 1/0 treble stuck in thumb from 8lber that spun in the net as I grabbed it to unhook, still attached to fish. Had to push hook right through before I could cut off tip and barb. That was even worse. Now I only use barbless for mine and the fish’s sake. But you’re right Paul, we fish on! Have fun 👍
Yeah mate I’ve done it before too. Hospital job last time. Not cos of the blood or anything just that I cut the hook straight away and then ended up with nothing to pull on 🤣
Paul - painful, but we've all done it! - one shake of the head, regardless of their size, and a treble ends up in the hand. Maybe I'm mad, but I won't cut it - normally just get a pair of forceps and rip it out at the lowest angle. I never go pike fishing without a small bottle of clean water, tissues, plasters, and a small bottle of TCP (bloody stings!) Amazing unhooking feat by the way - dexterity contortion it looked like!!
Jesus Paul, you are crazy!😱😱 Stick it in the bloody net man! Then cut the hook out if the net and not your bloody finger man. 😉 Lucky never had a hook properly in me yet, but then again, I never catch fish! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😉
I thought you had packed up with RUclips, it's only because I saw you on Instagram today I checked on RUclips, for some reason I had become un-subscribed ? ...anyway good to see you still at it 👍....hope the finger is ok😣😁

Yeah that had me contemplating for a moment. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to do it but luckily I could

Been there done that only, mine was though a vein in the back of my hand, plenty of claret when I took it out.
