I think that you should've listed the downsides of tray mount keyboards as having inconsistent sound and feel because a board being stiff is 100% preference.

Hey Govard! If it is your first custom mechanical keyboard, I would suggest the V1 - its cheaper and you can learn a lot from it. And maybe buy the Q1v2 further down the road? It all depends on your budget ofcourse, the Q1 is the best out of those two.
Fun fact. This has less latency then the q1 by 1ms. Like 11ms for q1 and 10ms for v1. No one can notice this but for half the price you’re getting what I think is a better sounding board that’s just as good and open to modding as the higher end version. Great stock stabs too. (Just bought one myself).
@@keebdude I'm just going by rtings, it's funny because they give the q1 a higher rating for latency for gaming and say the v1 isn't as good for its latency but then you see the readings and the v1 is better lol. But yo, I got the keyboard today, gonna run your wob keycaps style too as soon as I get them!, it's so smooth holy shit.
Hey there, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I recently came across the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for cleaning my desktop setup. The powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, along with the convenient keyboard cleaning feature, make it a versatile tool. I recently ordered the barebones kit after my old gaming keyboard finally died. I put some Boba U4t switches in it with some standard PBT keycaps and I couldn't complain. It feels really good for less than $120.

They are ABS.. but I would recommend Ghost Judges WOB keycaps, they are PBT aswell!
have you tried using without the silicon bottom and foam?
I have not tried it yet! What's the difference when removing it?
It would make it sound more rattly

What made you choose the v-series over the k-pro-series?
Its more tailored towards the custom mechanical hobby, and I bought my barebone.
