Ospreys always look magical to me, the most facinating aircraft in my opinion.
Nah search the pave low or apache your gonna love em both
They hit the deck too often.
The flexibility of the Osprey is just insanely magical. I saw one fly from Land to a Carrier. To a Submarine some where in the middle of the ocean? And then fly back? At record speed! 😮
They are truly interesting to see. They look like a spaceship out of a James Cameron film. If the spaceship Nostromo had to deploy aircraft to earth, I could easily imagine Ripley flying in one of these.
Proud to have been apart of this carrier qualification during an underway as an abh. Seen these puppies at night. With their green glowing props flying up into the Milky Way
The way you describe it, sounds like a sight to see, and thanks for your service👍
Absolute superiority, on the water, on land and in the air
Always loved the Ospreys seen them fly over a few times awesome aircraft
We made the Engines for these at Rolls Royce Indy!
Although I like the C2 Greyhound ,The Osprey is going to be a great aircraft to replace it,as it is so versatile and capable.I think the Navy made a good choice!
Malcolm Cossar Ospreys have killed more people during the phase in process than a C2 in its entire career since the 60’s. The only reason the navy is sticking with the Osprey at this point is because they’ve already invested too much to back out now.
@@jeffstedtfeld1815 And the H-53 killed over 60 in its development phase, yet now its a tried and proven aircraft in combat... so whats your point?
OceanicShock my point is that it’s not as efficient as a cod, shit you gotta clear the whole damn deck just for one to land, which if you’ve been on a carrier during flight schedule you’d know is a big deal. The exhaust wash on the first v22’s caused heat damage to the flight deck. The only thing a v22 has over a cod is that it can carry an f/a18 engine. Which Grumman offered to modify the c2 to be able to do the same and it would have costed the navy far less now and in the future. And since the E2D is going to be around for awhile the modifications Grumman also would’ve made to the C2 like upgrading the 425’s to 427a’s would’ve just made sense. I’m not saying the osprey is bad, it’s actually quite impressive what it can do. But for navy usage it’s not really relevant, just a waste of tax payer dollars in my opinion.

exactly, once you put that much into paying for aircraft,,,imagine....millions spent. so it would be a waste and would look dumb and it would be dumb, to switch, to some new design. so instead fix the errors and perfect it so it works well. you can perfect it, just make a version 2, version 3, version 4.

dude the c 2 greyhound is something else. a greyhound can not land vertically like a helicopter. the OSPREY CAN.
and the osprey, is , basically a helicopter. AND it can tilt forward the rotors to fly like an airplane. THE OSPREY IS VERSATILE. AND THATS...WHAT YOU WANT IN AN AIRCRAFT. MULTI ROLE. IT CAN DO ANYTHING. IT DOESNT NEED AN AIRFIELD TO LAND, PLANES DO . IT CAN JUST LAND EVEN ON ROUGH TERRAIN LIKE IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN, IT CAN FIND A FLAT SMALL AREA AND SET DOWN THERE VERTICALLY. sorry this does not symbolize yelling it symbolizes mil speak aka CAPS. CLEAR TALK, NO BS . GREAT COMMENTS GREAT VIDEO
This is so cool and awesome and I loved this and amazing work dudes
Your Profile looks like my dog
a plane and a helicopter put together.....
What you get when you cross a greyhound with a stallion.
mv22 the sexiest most ridiculous aircraft ever made with a minigun, and powered with a roll's royce
A beautiful engineering marvel...
Hard to top jet fighter planes, but you have to assume even the Hornet drivers sort of watch and stare when these guys are landing and taking off.
Such a cool aircraft.
Miss the days at vmx-22 when it was just a baby now it's all over the world
Such an improbable bird! Got to tour it with one of its earliest pilots and sit in the cockpit. Tight quarters!
Fantastic piece of engineering - wish we'd buy a load of them for the RN's Queen Elizabeth carriers.
I thought the RN already owned one or two of these... If they did, did someone in the chain of command get greedy and take them away for another branch of the military?
I have a v22 rc and i love it its big too
Indonesia will buy it 😍😍😍 What a awesome flying stuff
Each one costs 72 million us dollars. Still interested?
MV-22🇺🇸💪🏽🇺🇸😱❤️
Этот самолет не требует длинной взлетно-посадочной полосы
SRVL, US Navy style😍
I own that in gta
1:15 Ok 3 wire.
I want one.
I always get that black ops 2 vibes
Avenger....
O cara que desenhou esse avião deve de se sentir um abençoado cada vez que vê essa beleza voando 😍
3:19 "My people need me"
Oh man, look how casual that approach speed is on the landing. 1:48 Would be interesting to know how LSOs interact with the Osprey. Would you even need to wave one of those off? Be more like "Stop. You're too low. Back up and try that again."
Maybe it's not the safest aircraft ever but it's beautiful...
As cool as these are are there not any that have jet propulsion or would that not work as intended?
Why does the V22 need its flaps out if it's taking off vertically? I thought the purpose of flaps was to help it make a rolling takeoff like a fixed wing plane...
Even if its a vertical take off, they are down For more lift as it transitions to forward flight.
SUUPPPERRR 😅
The wings seem so small
Just as easy as that. (But not really)
Holly cow I TOUGHT ONLY IN GTA
the us navy uses them here over our house sometimes, to show off. im not kidding they fly them by here to show that they like Q ANON and they can see if you like Q ANON
if you do, they may fly over your house ! to show off .
It's a flying wasp nest you don't want to poke
I remember the first avengers
#VRM30 Plank Owner
They’ve just completed the bogdan hiest
Me landing at LSIA
It's avenger from gta v
I Can Fly Im pilot
it can move back! lol
That is a weird looking craft. Funny looking too with its oversized engine pods.
I feel for the pilots that takes a long time for school to fly those
Are the propellers wobbling at 0:39? Is it supposed to work like this? Why?
They appear to be blade tip vortices and are white due to moisture condensation from the air pressure change within each vortex
😎🤙🤘🤘🤘🥃🍺🍻
it is a plane ol heli?
Heli
they got there own new category called Powered Lift Aircraft.
Looks awkward & heavy. How great is it compared to a helicopter or a standard airplane?
Faster than a helicopter and more agile at ultra low speeds than an airplane.
My nephew is a pilot of one. It was made to take a small group into tight spots further away and faster than a helicopter can.
GTA anyone?😆
GTA 5 avenger
Vertical birds.. Psh..
Absolute clown vehicle it deletes more soldiers than the enemy.
