Okay so seriously bless Nick and Chris. Like they were a vital part of forming this beautiful thing we have and love today. I know they aren't Josh. Tyler and Josh together are some insane kind of magic that's so good it doesn't even make any sense. But also, Nick and Chris are really important, because they saw this weird thing that Tyler was doing and they believed in it and encouraged it until it grew into the music that has changed all of our lives.
truuue. i've heard a lot of crap about them because they apparently "left" tyler, which is kind of true, but not in that sense. they believed in what tyler believed in, but they didn't think it would become a reality. they helped tyler believe in himself to continue on though, and that's when he met the all around loved jishwa william dun :3
Josh has way more energy than Chris, and goes way better with Tyler, but it's so nice that Chris and nick were there to support Tyler and help create this great band.
i know you all love josh a lot but hating on chris and nick isn't the way to support him. they were both an important part of the band and they helped create the genius that was self titled, so we should be really appreciative of them
+Eve Cotter don't worry, theirs nothing wrong with being new and not knowing, what bugs the real clique is people enjoying the songs (rhythm and beat) and not bothering to find out what they actually mean or caring and then calling themselves number one fans
+Annesley Duran i know, i was at lolla this year with a bunch of friends and one of them turns to me and goes "where is tyler from?" and im like "uuh.. ohio..." and she's like "no no what's his accent?" and i just started laughing but like i didn't even know what to say ahahha like uh idk it's his stage voice? great question
literallysydd he has a strange "accent" every time he sings and it always changes lmao. I think it's just a Tyler thing. Maybe he's so into the song and the emotions that he doesn't really think about how to pronounce the words and they come out not usual sounding. I love it thoo like every singer has a unique way of pronouncing their words when they're singing but Tyler's is the most unique I have ever heard and it's so cute
I'm in a small cover band and I never realized it until recently that I do the same thing just not as intense (cuz I don't care for the majority of the songs we cover). My friend calls it pulsing. For me it's kind of a way to feel the beat and keep it and little specific movements help me remember the words. Plus it's an anxiety thing to cuz I get nervous and start "twitching".
Yknow that’s actually a lot of insight I’m glad I read, I was kinda wondering why he does the twitching thing and if it was just kinda a style thing but yeah makes sense to have it to help remember words and feel the pulse
but we still have to recognize these two. Without Nick and Chris this band wouldn't exist. and Tyler wouldn't even know Josh. And they made wonderful music for the first album and a bit of regional at best.
I’m sorry. Correction: this was when he started getting better, when he started to actually find his purpose. And if you listen to the lyrics, he’s still in a bad place. At least that’s my understanding. But I don’t think either of us are to analyze his life.
I wonder if when they recorded this, they saw this screaming, twitching man that liked to say a lot of words really fast and thought that he was just a kid from Ohio with a big dream that couldn't happen. I wonder how they feel now knowing he has many #1 songs.
can we just stop being all like "man I'm so happy Tyler is with Josh now!" because Nick and Chris was a very big part of Twenty One Pilots, and Nick has a lot of energy, he's jumping with the bass and just look at Ode To Sleep, he has a lot of energy. just listen to Trapdoor, it has a lot of bass. Chris is trying to keep a steady beat, he isn't like Josh, but that's ok, he even introduced Josh to Tyler. so be thankful they were in Twenty One Pilots, because without them it's a chance twenty one pilots wouldn't exist
I'm so thankful for Nick and Chris. Without them, twenty one pilots we know today wouldn't exist. Of course, Josh and Tyler are the best thing ever but Nick and Chris were a big part of the story too.
@ewolfgirl He jokes a lot that that in music it's "illegal" for a white guy who plays alternative music to rap, but he's not being literal. He also says a lot he used to not know the rules of making music.
So happy that it's Tyler and Josh now. Nick and the Chris don't click with Tyler as well as Josh does... It doesn't look like they feel the music. When you see Tyler and Josh playing, you can definitely tell that they feel it. They're so passionate about what they do.
Eating Cake Hey, I'm not doing anything. So don't tell me to stop. I'm not putting them down as people. And I wouldn't be wrong to say what I said. I do appreciate them, but Josh and Tyler do work better together. It's just true. It's not a bad thing. You don't have to be offended.
I never realized that my favorite songs from TOP were written when Nick and Chris were still in the band. Like almost all of Regional at Best/Vessel and the songs before that. That gives me a new appreciation of Nick/Chris. Josh is still great but I kinda wish Nick/Chris had helped make the new albums too
A band is a group of people coming together to make something bigger than any one of them alone. Everyone adds their touch and everyone makes a difference in their own way. I don't listen to the radio, so I am JUST now discovering this band in 2017. I listened straight through Blurryface in one go and decided to buy their first album to see how their early days sounded. That was an amazing purchase. Now I feel like I'm trying to catch up on like 7 years of music. It is awesome to see the band's roots and the other members. Many of my favorite bands had early members who helped mold the other artists in the group. Counting Crows had Steve Bowman and Ben Mize, Red Hot Chili Peppers had Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons, The Beatles had Pete Best, Panic! At The Disco had Brent Wilson and Ryan Ross, Marilyn Manson had Daisy Berkowitz and John 5. I feel like we owe a great deal to these lesser known artists that rarely have their praises sung.
RUclips doesn't recommend this to you just right away. You need to have watched all their interviews and every vlog to be right here my friend. Feels awesome to be part of the clique!

I've got a dream just like Tyler's to start a band and I'm watching all these old videos wondering if it's even possible and I can't imagine it even is. But these videos give me hope I guess
I’m Binge watching old fetus Tyler videos cause today is his 30th birthday and I’m so proud of him, he used to doubt he’d get this far and now look at him
i like how his singing voice had changed but his talking voice hasnt
ikr
wait what for realz
His stutter has gone.
I’d say it’s more gravelly and coarse/rough now in 2021
@@blvrryvhs Because he's ruined it screaming so much lmao. But seriously I LOVE his voice he should record one of those bedtime stories lol.
tyler: and then realized i was rapping and decided that was illegal

Its not rap nor hip hop
twenty_one_.at_the_disco if you ask Zach he's my brother he likes when I rap fast
Tyler is type of the dude to head bang to a slow song.
iiDeathKid In the best way possible
He’s the one to cry during a slow song THEN head bang at the next song
Okay so seriously bless Nick and Chris. Like they were a vital part of forming this beautiful thing we have and love today. I know they aren't Josh. Agreed.
Agreed. So many people are being hard on them because they're not like Josh. These guys are great.

plus I think it was Chris who introduced Josh to Tyler
Randa Foote I love seeing comments like this because I'm related to Nick and I hate when people said he "left" he didn't great job defending them
josh and tyler seem more of a match then the other two.. tyler and josh just look like they were meant to be a band together.
katie edits tea
still, bless nick and Chris for being there at the start
I still kind of wish nick had stayed though
It's so weird to imagine the band without Josh.
So true
Mira Bisesi Nick hasnt enough energy
Mauricio Ramirez HAHAHHAHAHAHA you make me laugh
Flersive ! XD
Mauricio Ramirez That was sarcasm
Josh has way more energy than Chris, and goes way better with Tyler, but it's so nice that Chris and nick were there to support Tyler and help create this great band.
I've gone too deep... Yet it's the best thing that's ever happened to me..
+Juliana Green um.... the Clique are all one. Yes, there are fans from Ohio, but we are all one. No one is superior.

exactly, stay alive fren |-/
I prefer Chris' drumming over Josh's to be honest. Josh goes all out and Chris just tries to keep a steady beat.
dadlon weekes yea thanks for defending them cuz I'm related to Nick and I hate that everyone hates on Nick and Chris
Audrey Parish have u met Tyler?
I heard ode to sleep before ode to sleep was actually ode to sleep
What did he call it?
Just like yesterday and same, an OG ohio fan.
well i mean it's only like 2 months "before it was ode to sleep"
IndaLight just like yesterday is no phun intended and isn’t classified as a twenty one pilots song
@@3x739 however, ode to sleep borrows some lyrics from just like yesterday
