  • Eleven Mile State Park is located at the southeast corner of South Park, some 50 miles west of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
    Eleven Mile State Park has a large five-and-one-half-mile reservoir surrounded by nine campgrounds with over 300 campsites.
    You can fish, motorboat, sail, canoe, kayak and pontoon on the 3,000+ acre lake.
    This video provides a drive-through video of each of the nine campgrounds at Eleven Mile so you can choose the perfect campsite for you to reserve.
    Check out our other campground videos on this RUclips channel, Colorado Campgrounds--What you need to know.

      You’re welcome! I hope you subscribed to our channel and viewed some of our other campgrounds. We have every Colorado State Park and Colorado’s four National Parks on the channel, plus other campgrounds you should visit such as Eleven Mile Canyon which is just below Eleven Mile State Park.

      @@coloradocampgrounds-whatyo7709 oddly, no although I’m buying a boat this year. Bought a cabin overlooking 11 Mile Reservoir last year that’s a 5 minute walk to the lake and have just fell in love with the area. It’s such a beautiful area that I knew little about until buying the cabin.

      Yes, it is beautiful. If you haven’t explored Eleven Mile Canyon just below the dam, you must put that on your must visit list.

    Awesome, I’ve been there but didn’t get to see all the camping facilities

      Thanks for your comment. Eleven Mile is a huge State Park…so you can always find a campsite there. Only Rocky Ridge has several loops with electric. The tent camping area is pretty cool.

    Hi, thanks so much for your video. Love to see it and I subscribed! I am looking to go here in a few weeks (early June). Staying in Witchers cove. Wondering if all the roads to get there are in bad shape? Do you think it’s worth finding a different site?
    Looks beautiful but scared it will mess up my car

      I haven’t been there this year so I don’t know if they graded the road to knock down the gravel washboard. If you go real slow you will be alright.

    Is there a fishing pier?

    • @coloradocampgrounds-whatyo7709
      @coloradocampgrounds-whatyo7709  5 месяцев назад

      No. There is a small dock at the marina but not suitable for fishing. You can rent boats and pontoons at the marina.

    Is everything super unlevel or is that just the distortion of the camera?

      Hi Stephen, I use a GoPro which tends to give a fishbowl perspective. A high percentage of the 924 campsites in Eleven Mile SP are flat or have a slight grade. Following are the campsites to avoid as they have a severe grade: 9, 25, 31, 46, 60, 67, 68, 72, 79, 110, and 815. Thanks for using my RUclips channel. Steve

      @@coloradocampgrounds-whatyo7709 Thanks for the reply. I hear a lot about mosquitos. How are they in late July? Also, other that the side of the lake, is there a better side to be on than the other (North side vs south side)? or just personal preference.

    • @coloradocampgrounds-whatyo7709
      @coloradocampgrounds-whatyo7709  Год назад +2

      I didn’t experience any mosquitos when I was there. The more developed and more used campgrounds are on the north side of the Lake. The marina (with a small grocery store) is also on the north side. The south side is accessed via a gravel road which has ridges and rattles your vehicle and your bones. Not fun to drive on.

      @@stephensharp8091 The mosquitos tend to only be out in the early evening in Summer, bring some Deet and you'll be fine.
