Even a moderate Republican like me enjoyed the vibrancy of that one-liner....like the clever quips from Dennis Miller or Donald Fagen's lyrics via Steely Dan.
      Plus....even as a man I'm frequently accused of having a woman's handwriting....which I'll always take as a kind compliment!

My Dad's first car was a Black 1959 Buick LeSabre Sedan. It was the most fantastic looking car to me, but then again I was only 6 years old when it got replaced in 1965. All I remember was that after a while, the right rear door would not close unless you fiddled with the hinge. Then on a big road trip to see some national parks, the reverse gear in the automatic transmission decided not to work. My Dad had to try to find motels with parking lots where you could park without having to use reverse gear to get out. My Dad only bought Chevrolets and Fords from 1965 on.

Hard to imagine, but there was also an Invicta model station wagon with a plusher interior and even more chrome (well, stainless steel) trim. However, this one has the trim around the front wheel opening and rocker panel from the Invicta. Either an option, or something added in the restoration. And, all the proper (other than power seat) options to make it as livable as a modern car (mostly). Very nice. Could have used a driving impression - guess the owner didn't trust you to actually get behind the wheel.

That is a beautiful wagon and I love the beautiful interior clors that you used to be able to get. Enjoy the car and thanks for sharing.
