Confirmed: The Galaxy S24 is way more powerful in the US than UK and Europe

  • Over the past few years, Samsung has had an annoying habit of splitting its chipset offering in its flagship Samsung Galaxy S series, with the UK and Europe getting a Samsung Exynos-powered phone while those in the US would traditionally get a Qualcomm-powered variant.
That might not sound like a big deal on the surface, but there were big differences between the chipsets, not only in terms of pure performance power but also the equally important power efficiency. This meant that the Galaxy S22 and S21 were essentially more powerful and more efficient in the US than in the UK and Europe, and that was pretty frustrating for consumers.

Yes I saw the early reviews where creators were parroting what Samsung had told them which was false. The main issues:
1/ Exynos runs warmer than the SD8G3, maybe 3-4c in certain situations. This will impact more once the hotter weather arrives, as Samsung temperature throttles their chips.
2/ Efficiency. Tests show battery life is between 15-20% better on the Snapdragon, depending on the apps you use.
3/ GPU performance is trailing the rivals and for those playing games on the Exynos, they may need to dial down the settings to get similar FPS to the Snapdragon.
4/ Price. If we get a weaker, worse chip, we should not have to pay as much.
I feel that Samsung Fab 4nm processor is subpar. The Exynos 2200 was terribly inconsistent with too many duds. They abandoned 3nm V2 AKA Exynos 2300 as it was embarrassingly bad behind the SD8G2 made by TSMC. They bring back v3 of the 4nm in desperation to try and save their smartphone fab business, and it is second best to the SD8G3. Once the sun starts shining in Europe, be prepared for Exynos S24’s to become even worse. Imagine if Apple did this, the uproar and flexing. Samsung though is a BIG fish for many creators and social media posters that this is largely kept on the down low, and it looks like this will mean the S25 line will also get Exynos.

Samsungs gotta Samsung. If you buy this brand, then it’s on you to understand what kind of company you’re dealing with. How does Samsung get away with bait & switching customers like this? Where are the regulators? Where is the EU?

I am already saddened by my Samsung TV glitching all the time when trying to wirelessly broadcast from my computer. Had same issue in previous laptop so it's not laptop.
Tried broadcasting to Sony TV and has 0 issues.
Samsung has always been cheap when it comes to their components. s24+ looked so promising but I refuse to get e2400 chip, when my old phone already has Snapdragon 8g1.
