I too grew up watching him and while serving in the Marine Corps stationed in Hawaii I took some classes and my jaw dropped when I found out he was there on a regular basis! I took in as much as I could for the brief time I was there and will never forget it! Thanks, Master Alexio, and Master Smith! Semper Fi!

I was just a kid and didnt really know who he was till I got older but he was a nice guy from what I could remember. A true legend just had some bad luck and made some bad choices. Hope when he gets out he lives the rest of his life happily and stays on a straight rope. He doesnt deserve to stay stuck in prison for the rest of his life.

Was listening to Streets of Siam on another RUclips video and one of the few comments was explaining how Dennis Alexio was a real champion (something I didn't know). Unfortunately his life seemed to take a nose dive at the tail end of his career. In 2017 he was sentenced to 15 years for money laundering and other things. No idea why he would do this at first. He could have made an honest living after his own career still related to the sport but I think he was only ever interested in fighting and nothing else. When he realised age had caught up to him and he could no longer compete at the level he wanted, it sent him into a downward spiral. He will be over 70 when finally released. I don't know much of the justice system but maybe good behavior can get him out in his late 60s and he can spend time coaching and training the up and comers.
Must've lived to fight. He dared to try win against the US Govt, which it even took till the final round for Muhammad Ali to do (7-0 , 1970 US Supreme Court) without similar money at stake

For any average viewer, they see it as a barrage of violent strikes, but it does take A LOT of practice and experience to pull it off effortlessly. Alexio kept throwing those mean hooks to the body, and once his opponent began to cover his body and leaned forward just a little bit from the ropes, Alexio threw a clean roundhouse right to the head, knocking him out cold. He ain’t called the Terminator just because he’s a powerful striker, as he also is an intelligent striker that knows exactly where an opening is and when to strike
He was very calculated and tempered to see that opening. He wasn't just banging out some random combo he'd learned, he was going with the flow and saw an open door and took the shot. What a beast! 💪👍

They decided to dub him because his high pitched voice didn't match his physical appearance and he couldn't deliver his lines in a professional matter so they had to dub him with a more masculine voice. There are videos out there without the dubbing and it's.. hilarious.

I trained with him at the jet center and boy his kicks and punches was like a mule and so fast and people don't realize that he dominated the kick boxing with such a good winning streak that I kind of wish he fought in UFC when it first started because he would of been known even more. I would of liked to see him fight Patrick Smith who did well in the UFC.

Dennis was fearsome. In the beggining of fight you know that some terrible will hapen with somebody. Spooky.. yet he was a brilliant martial artist and upholder of the highest standards of chivalry. A warrior.

Sucks. He’s been in prison since 2017 on charges of tax evasion and unpaid child support. I read he has ten years left but I hope he gets out soon and gets his life together. So sad to see great fighters end up like that.

Just watched Kickboxer the other night first time in awhile I didn’t know he was a real fighter !! Very Cool
I trained with him at the jet center and boy his kicks and punches was like a mule and so fast and people don't realize that he dominated the kick boxing with such a good winning streak that I kind of wish he fought in UFC when it first started because he would of been known even more. I would of liked to see him fight Patrick Smith who did well in the UFC.

Sucks. He’s been in prison since 2017 on charges of tax evasion and unpaid child support. I read he has ten years left but I hope he gets out soon and gets his life together. So sad to see great fighters end up like that.
