Also, when your 7'4, you can only carry yourself a certain way in the ring. Khali had the same same problem. He has to work around normal sized wrestlers, not his fault.
It may come down to the dance partner in most cases (Savage and Rick Rude were certainly better partners than most), but Mania 6 vs Hogan and the program with Andre were better than they had any right to be, and neither of those partners were Baryshnikov. Charisma and packaging really can go a long way.

Honestly Nick Gage isn't a terrible wrestler. When you watch him wrestle you believe him. Like New Jack, you believe that who they are in the ring is how you would think they would wrestle. Terrible wrestlers are guys like the late Giant Gonzalez, guys like Marko Stunt.
@@nickonite not sure about that. She hurt SO many people, there was a train of thought that Asuka was just not being used and hanging out in catering but then it was clarified that Nia Jax really did fuck her up THAT bad that she needed nearly a year off to recover.
Warror's biggest knock, in my view, is he was about three-quarters gassed when the bell rang just from his entrance. He needed a real slow start to get his breath back to even wrestle more than two or three minutes.
When I was growing up in Mpls, there was a barefoot wrestler named Hank Meadows. He was so thin and so pale, that he made the Mulkeys look like Hulkster.
Warrior had some very good matches With Hogan, Savage, Rude and Perfect. Two of those matches are considered two greatest Wrestlemania matches of all-time.
Who exactly considers those in the running for greatest WM matches? Biggest drawing maybe, but.....really. Like.....yeah Savage carried Warrior and Rude carried him. But wouldn't you rather watch Savage/Steamboat or Rude/Roberts?
I like how I know there are a lot of rotten wrestlers who Jim personally hates, but for this question he is legit fair as can be. There are 1000's of wrestlers whose training school was literally their mom's basement, so when being fair worst wrestler is much harder than best wrestler and Jim legit took this seriously. Though I believe other people would mention this Giant Gonzalez is probably as bad as any untrained wrestler ever, he probably makes Jim Helwig look like Buddy Rogers in comparison. I mean Ultimate warrior sucked too, but I think with a lot of these famous bad wrestlers they still had to have something to get them over in spite of how bad they sucked, but the true sucky wrestlers like turds stayed at the bottom of the barrel and only made a tv camera in the audience of shows.
Jim does a good job explaining why he never gives an answer to this bone anyone sent him a question like this they need to list their criteria so he has the answer to that criteria whether he likes the criteria or not he could just say he doesn’t like it. For instance if we’re talking about the best wrestler ever this is my criteria The order matters too. 1. Impact on the business. When they were there at their height of popularity and when they left. 2. The ability to draw. Crowd/money 3. Mic/entertainment skills Nobody’s going to see your great wrestling if you can’t get them there 4. Accomplishments in the business. Titles big wins awards etc. 5. Actual wrestling ability. This is last but because you don’t want people putting as like Lance storm or Dean Malenko over people that were superstars in the business because they say “well he can’t wrestle as well” When in reality wrestling is an art like any other art acting singing rapping. People do that shit with rappers when they talk about “lyrical skills“ and then name some guy that 50% of the people reading the comments never heard of popularity matters in the entertainment business don’t tell me somebody is the most skilled and they never didn’t accomplish a quarter of what the other person did. I think that’s a fair list of criteria
@@kinggambino3698 His legs were already shot from Basketball-why Turner switched him from his basketball team to WCW. Crazy to think that many can easily come up with their own mount rushmore of great wrestlers. But worst wrestlers that are bad. It's tough because their have been so many that have been bad. From all generations.
warrior and luger have to be the worst wrestlers that got over. both had to have their opponents carry the match and they couldn't call a match in the ring. neither could cut a promo.
Worst ever? I can't stand Moxley. Orange Cassidy and the Cowboy are two more I dislike. I never liked Road Dogg and Ultimate Warrior probably belongs on this list as well.
The problem is AEW uses generic gimmick matches and not gimmick matches that further the storyline cause, and become ultimately irrelevant. Comparing the gimmick matches of AEW to the gimmick matches of Lucha Underground, LU had a ton of gimmick matches yet they all made sense, booked properly and made everyone look like a star in the show.
Like how Mick Foley, Sandman, Terry Funk, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, New Jack and most wrestlers from ECW did the same matches Moxley is doing today. Jim only criticises him because he has a personal issue with Moxley (maybe Moxley stood up to him, and Jim's massive but fragile ego (like with many bullies,) could dish it out but can't take any criticism coming their way.
George Gulas, Mabel/Viscera, Ultimate Warrior and either Nya Jax or Giant Gonzalez are my picks, but my wrestling knowledge isnt much compared to Jim or Brians
For once, I’m in complete agreement with Corny’s response here - a ‘worse wrestlers’ list is every bit as subjective as a ‘greatest wrestlers’ list, in that there are many categories and sub-categories to consider

Warrior had a few good matches with great talent. He at least came out like an ultra intense super hero as opposed to just being a big bland guy and knew how to work the crowd.
Warriors saving grace was his look, his intensity, the face paint , kids loved him and mcmahon pushed him to takeover from hulk. He couldnt wrestle, and didnt give a fck about wrestling. But at the time , fans, especially kids loved the character.
Warrior had a few great matches. Don't think he's anywhere near the worst.
@@Sickillj No one wanted to see Warrior wrestle. They wanted to see his entrance, his power moves and his intensity. That's like saying fans wanted to see Shaq shoot mid range jumpers and 3's.
He was carried by insanely capable talent, and sucked more than a $2 hooker when doing anything but being carried. And it took talent on the level of Savage and Flair to give him what amounted to only decent matches. None of his matches qualify as good.

The Ultimate Warrior did have one good match. His match with Savage at Wrestlemania 7 is great!
And his matches with Rick Rude as well.
I thought the middle one looked more like Athena than Big Swole, I was thinking that would’ve been an odd choice
True I thought they were saying Athena which isn’t true I don’t think Moxley I kinda get all he does is bleed now
Red Velvet is worse than Swole imo. She is a fucking career ending botch waiting to happen. Swole was safe for the most part but moved like a shopping cart full of bricks.
Athena is terrible. It's hard to explain why she's just so bad, but watching her work, it feels like she thinks she's 4 or 5 inches taller than she really is. She moves around awkwardly at best and every move misses 5 inches above her opponents heads.
You definitely new here, that picture always used in Big Swole review
@@welowee7610 nah, I just don’t remember how they drew big swole, it’s been a while since she has been talked about & I’m sure whenever she was on tv she had shorter hair, to me it just looked more like Athena

Bigger liability than nia Jax.

This has gotta be one of the most hilarious moments on this show 😭😭
Omos issue is that he is trying not to hurt people.
Also, when your 7'4, you can only carry yourself a certain way in the ring. Khali had the same same problem. He has to work around normal sized wrestlers, not his fault.
Omas is worthless.

It may come down to the dance partner in most cases (Savage and Rick Rude were certainly better partners than most), but Mania 6 vs Hogan and the program with Andre were better than they had any right to be, and neither of those partners were Baryshnikov. I don't think Jim felt he was good in the ring but I could be wrong. I love the Shafir jokes. I would love for Jim and Bryan to keep reviewing her stuff lol
Khali was actually pretty great in new Japan. We got him post knee surgeries. He used to jump over the top rope
Nathan Jones was only in the business a year tops. So its understandable for him not being that great .
Khalil in wwe was booked bad and was being super careful after he killed Brian in the ring
I liked Warrior's matches with Rude.
I legit hated Moxley's moveset when he was Dean Ambrose. That STUPID lariat he would do when he would fall through the second rope and slingshot up was infuriating.
His moveset in the shield was good

@@JHenkel24 Maybe. I didn't watch a lot of Nigel's matches. I can't say I have noticed Kyle do it, but I also haven't watched him in a while either.
It is entirely possible that they just do it better, and it wouldn't bother me with them. With Mox, it was completely unconvincing. If it makes you feel better, I hate the Lethal Injection, too. It makes absolutely no sense.
Edit: I just looked it up. It was just as ridiculous when Nigel did it. Kyle pulls it off better than the other two, but it still isn't great.
"Marina Shafir, but we don't know her!" 🤣🤣
Is Marko Stunt and Big Swole on this list?
There's no list, there has to be a detailed reason why the list is called "Worst Wrestlers". These were names Cornette mentioned before as Worst Wrestlers, but he backed down saying Moxley's the worst.
“Bank addicted Drug robber” - Jim Cornette 04:34
Even The Mulkeys at least won (accidentally) one match.
I’m amazed Jim didn’t mention Linda Miles once in his answer.
As long as WWE Undefined Champion Alicia Fox's funny looking self is on the list, I'm in.
Nick Gage could be the worst wrestler ever to step on AEW, but I wouldn't even consider him a wrestler.
That new Indian tall guy in AEW should just go away immediately
@@nickonite not sure about that. I mean, let's take New Jack as an example. of course a lot of what he did looked legit ... because he hit people for real (one of the horrific habits a lot of the ECW/hardcore guys have/had).
but if you ain't working (your punches, chairshots etc.) are you really a "pro wrestler" to begin with? (I mean, isn't the biggest part of that +working+ the blows etc.?)
His passion to give fans extreme is worthy of him being a legend.
@@intelligentfool09i agree. One of my top 10 for me. People seem to just dismiss him because “he is a bank robber drug addict” but there are so many degenerates in pro wresting its crazy. I wanted to like her but now that she's gone, yeah we're going to have to put Nia Jax in this convo. She hurt SO many people, there was a train of thought that Asuka was just not being used and hanging out in catering but then it was clarified that Nia Jax really did fuck her up THAT bad that she needed nearly a year off to recover.
Nia Jax isn’t even close to being in the convo.
At least Nia Jax gave me the best promo in the world which involves her Hole.
Warror's biggest knock, in my view, is he was about three-quarters gassed when the bell rang just from his entrance. He needed a real slow start to get his breath back to even wrestle more than two or three minutes.
That Marina Shafir joke got me
The David Flair debut in WCW. It literally looked that he had zero training and was just thrown in the ring.
Awful as David Flair was, I still say he seemed prouder to be US Champ more than Hangers was AEW Champ.
I’m pretty sure that was the storyline for David Flair, though. He wasn’t actually supposed to be viewed as a wrestler
But he improved a lot in OVW.

I mostly give his opponents credit for that. I will say though, Hogan/Warrior was also Hogan's best match.
They were also planned out move for move (at least the first two) and rehearsed for months beforehand.
Actual good wrestlers don't need to do that.
@@gammasmash1924 I'd hardcore disagree with it been Hogans best match, but it's high profile as a Mania main event kind of comes into it I guess too.

For instance if we’re talking about the best wrestler ever this is my criteria
The order matters too.
1. Impact on the business.
When they were there at their height of popularity and when they left.
2. The ability to draw.
Crowd/money
3. Mic/entertainment skills
Nobody’s going to see your great wrestling if you can’t get them there
4. Accomplishments in the business.
Titles big wins awards etc.
5. Actual wrestling ability.
This is last but because you don’t want people putting as like Lance storm or Dean Malenko over people that were superstars in the business because they say “well he can’t wrestle as well”
When in reality wrestling is an art like any other art acting singing rapping.
Love how the artwork for Moxley always has him crosseyed or looking like a Special Ed short yellow bus student
“Looks like a medical school skeleton.” Is the greatest insult Jim’s uttered in the past year.
Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg, Ryback and New Jack. Mount Rushmore of most unsafe in the Ring.
Giant Gonzalez, Marina Shafir, Cheex and Lacey Von Botch for me

The point of a wrestler is to draw eyeballs and put butts in seats.
Whether that is by doing five monkey flips or a five minute promo is irrelevant.
Crazy to think that many can easily come up with their own mount rushmore of great wrestlers. But worst wrestlers that are bad. It's tough because their have been so many that have been bad. From all generations.
Plus with so many factors to wrestling, youd really have to think of someone bad at everything

Moxley and AEW are a match made in heaven though. AEW relies solely on gimmick matches and Moxley loves being in gimmick matches.

I would think Big Daddy would be in the running. Corny referred to him as an "Outlaw Hulk Hogan" one time.
Giant Gonzalez was just too clumsy.
