Shadow is just nailing it at fatherhood. What impressed me as much as the size of that delicious looking catfish (catfish acadiana at Copelands happens to be one of my fav dishes) was how Shadow was barely winded after bringing it in. Now we known that fish is heavy so the fact he wasn't very winded shows how in shape he is and why he's such an awesome hunter. Beautiful feeding Jackie performs on zoom! Loved the opening scap with Jackie feeding and end scap with Shadows delivery, thanks LH!💜
Did these two eaglets ever bonk one another and fight over food, or were they just as good mannered as their Mom and Dad? They are soooo cute! Ohh how I wish their 2nd egg would hatch (2021)...

I remember watching live one day, Shadow brought food to their nest and while Jackie was preparing it for Simba and Cookie the eaglets started bonking, Shadow is standing near Jackie and watching his babies and he gently walks over to them and stops the bonking!! it was a wonderful moment, I remember that they just sat back and looked at Shadow, I live in Australia and I was thrilled I was watching live at the right time to see this, I watched this cam through IWS when IWS was still showing the live cam and I remember reading the chat and everyone watching loved that Shadow stopped their bonking!! I hope with all of my heart that season 2022 is kinder to Jackie and Shadow and they have a healthy clutch of eggs and Eaglets!! I love them so much!! They are amazing Eagles and so beautiful!!
I could see the two shivering! Mom served them both some big pieces of fish for breakfast. Lady Hawk..was Cookie the one closest to the camera as Mom was feeding them? Shadow has been an excellent provider. Such cuties!!!! Thank you Lady Hawk:)

Cookie did not survive. Died of exposure to the cold temperatures. Cookie’s remains are part of the nest. Simba grew up to be a big eagle and flew off, like eagles do. As far as I’ve read, there hasn’t been any recent sightings of Simba. Fly high, Cookie. Watch over your sibling Simba.
@@ds_the_rn ....thank you for the info Diane. All of us can only hope that Jackie and Shadow will be more successful next year during mating season. At the moment I'm following the live feed out of Redding CA with Liberty and Guardian. All 3 of their eggs hatched and it seems all the baby chicks are being fed well. But as they get older who knows. These are wonderful birds.

Awe. He’s picking off the tiniest pieces and gently giving it to the babies. And then he sits on them to warm them up. So sweet.
Shadow is a great provider. He is an excellent fisherman.

Aren’t catfish bottom feeders...... If so, that Eagle dove into the depth of the waters to feed the 💞Family💞☺️
You can find them in riverbanks so its not that deep
