At this point, no one should be blaming Alito and Thomas. They've made themselves clear and stayed true to who they've shown themselves to be. The blame for this is 100% on Roberts. He's allowed the rot to grow and thrive.
Have to agree with you. What is the point of having a "Chief Justice" if he has no authority to act in such a situation? My belief is that Roberts has done nothing about these 2 rogue judges because he shares their views.

The USA has over 300 million residents. Our government probably has as many people in it as an entire city in the Emerald Isle. We are a Constitutional Republic, where the US Constitution is the highest law in the land. That document doesn't allow us the power to "remove" bad leaders. We have to swim through oceans of process and red tape.

Very well said, Jerry Nadler. Many of us remember those 3 lying nominees saying they wouldn't dream of overturning Roe v. Wade, it was settled precedent etc. As for Roberts, he has already turned down an invitation to appear in the Senate, because he didn't think it would serve any useful purpose, or some such mealy mouthed excuse. Roberts is the worst of the lot, imo, because he pretends to be moderate, but thinks just like Alito and Thomas.

He "presided" over Trump's first impeachment trial, but allowed the Repubs to refuse having witnesses, and I think he refused to "preside" at all at the second impeachment trial. Congress should defund SCOTUS, and DOJ shouldn't allow the Marshals Service or any other executive branch law enforcement agency to expend any resources for anything directly related to the operation of the court.
