- Welcome! In this episode you'll see how to select some rough, dopp the rough using high temperature wax, and make a cylindrical preform. This will set you up to cut a standard round brilliant, which we do in the next lesson. Enjoy!

Glass is great to work with for practice, they can come out beautiful as well, they just don't have much value so many people dont spend much time working with glass.

That synthetic Corundum is Not Sapphire but rather Ruby. Ruby is Red, all the other colors of Corundum are Sapphire.

I've Pink Sapphire, it's purple to the naked eye. But a big enough chunk may appear reddish/purple.
