I think the xenophobia of Stormcloak Nords / Nords in general is just due to the status quo being as it is. Somewhere in game (maybe when you join) they say that no matter what you are, as long as you fight for Skyrim, you're a Son/Daughter of Skyrim. There are plausible reasons why the Nords (especially of Windhelm) would be weary of any outsiders or the city's Argonian/Dunmer refugees, despite their open prejudices still being morally reprehensible. Otherwise, there wouldn't be *any* non-Nords or maybe non-humans treated well in the city, but there are multiple High Elves in good standing there, of all Mer. @@VoidLantadd SE is a lot nicer about the DG than the original release was. You could walk around with the Dawnguard quest in your journal, but you'll be fighting off vampire attacks in every town until you finally do it.
@@Mr-Trox You only get attacked by them at night, tho. And they almost always have jewelry on them. So bring it! 😅
@@zdspider6778 The townspeople dying is what I always had a problem with. Anyone near the gates was going to die to vampires, and it was usually a merchant too.
I'm over here still trying to close all 50 oblivion gates and collect all the aleid statues.
Thats alot of sigil stones
Isran: You can join the dawnguard
TIMENG as a vampire: yey!
Serana: *exists*
Isran: *It'S A tRhEaT!*
He doesn’t want the Dragonborn to simp or get dragged into the shadows by the Blood Princess.
I swear, her german voice actress is soo good
yeah and she sounds so differnt to how she voices Jen in the It-Crowd in the German Dub
as a German, I prefer English.. I think it's because as a German you can tell that they are acting from their voice, while it sounds more natural from a foreign language
@@punking892 well, that's the good thing about opinions, they can be differnt; I feel like exactly the other way around, I like Skyrim way more in German then in english
Same with Oblivion, even with the broken dub 😂
@@tintinlchevreau1135 sure, you do you ;)
@@punking892 same for you ;D
I love how if you are a a vampire she still is surprised like WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME
I'm the only one here who played this entire vampire quest like 5 times and have chosen every single option available ?
It would also have been cool had their been a werewolf dialogue.
And thus vampire Dovakiin learned that even if dead don't sweat - he still need to take a bath at least once in the century
I ran across her early and it took forever at level 10 or so. But I never took her home. She's been traveling with me for a long time and she seems to level up. Take her to a worktable and she makes potions and charges up. Her ice spikes were tiny when we started out. They are so big now that her attacks send high level enemies flying across the room... it nuts. And she will raise the dead and add to our forces. I've been able to take on massive level foes all at once with her help because she can't die. Just last night we killed a mammoth troll and dragon all in combat at the same time. Grab her and travel the realm.
SAME! At first I kept her with me because I thought it was nice to have a little girl gang doing missions together, but now many months later, she is my favorite character in the game and I will not take her home! I love when she cooks, smithes, makes potions etc. I wish my follower (Lydia) would do that too, but she just stands there blocking doorways and coughing.
@@chandlerinas no kidding at all. I wish the creator club would develop more dialogue for her. Some of her comments are kind of funny... but she needs more refinement. Thanks for commenting.
@@AtomkeySinclair I love the ”It’s so sunny out here, I don’t know how you stand it” comment. But yes I wish she had a little more variation. I’ve also noticed that she gets better and better as I level up, which is so cool. I wonder if the creators really thought people would bring her home and lose this amazing warrior by their side.
Depending on your level, she’ll actually level and will use different spells.
@@liveanotheranime3526 She's still with me. I save often. Sometimes I accidentally hit her familiar and she turns on me... or she will get stuck in an action. So I reload her and continue on.
Damn I remember making the same video like 3 years ago
One of the greatest games ever made. I don't think Elder Scrolls 6 can top Skyrim.
TES 6 isn't even out
Let's hope it's just as successful as skyrim
Ha. You are still buying Bethesda games after their Fallout 76 crap? Shame on you.
@Green Mosaic "one mistake"? Ripping customers off is not a "mistake". It's a disgusting practice. They need to be punished for it, which means not buying their games while they continue to engage in those practices.
@Green Mosaic 76 was the worst rip off. Did your brain fallout of your head?
funny enuf she tells you "what you cant tell youre own kind?'" yet when you face the snowlef vampire she couldnt tell he was a vampire, kinda funny that moment.
To be fair, I think she was a little distracted by the whole frozen Falmer coming to life and the Temple being brought down on your head to notice his vampirism until she's in his face.
I already know what happens when you come to Serena.
Oh, "-as a vampire."
hard to keep it up when she keeps draining the blood out of you
Godzilla had a stroke and died trying to read this title

Thank God for the marry me serana mod.
Serana - nobody remembers me
Pepperidge Farms - we remember
Found Your Comment, Nice To See You Friend
Me: Who is your father?
Serena: He knows who he is, he can speak for himself.
Me: What?
Is there other monologues after the civil war if you joined the storm cloaks? Like if ur a high elf, “Ha I can’t believe we won this war with the help of an elf!” Or “ You orca sure love the ways of battle, but the war is over, maybe the next one will be against the thalmor”
For elves there is idk about orca. I do know you're told as long as you live in and love Skyrim you are on it's sons or daughters
I think it was made this way to show the dynamics and duality between hyper-nationalism and racial supremacy/xenophobia in-game and irl.
@@yourneighborhoodxenos You woke wankers can't help but stuff your bs into anything can you?
@@yourneighborhoodxenos just like the real world I can't feel fully committed to either side in skyrim. The empire is just a giant bully on a power trip and the storm cloaks are dim witted and racist af. Still tend to want a lean storm cloak though. At least they're fighting for their own home and free will.
@@fozzilla123 I related absolutely nothing of detail to the real world. My politics are not in my OP.
I Generally Stay Away From Being A Vamp [ Unless I Choose To Become One For The Sake Of Role-Playing Purposes Or Just To Increase Difficulty] I Am A Werewolf from the Companions every time while being a Mage at the same time, I have not played the vanilla game of Skyrim in a long time but I still remember everything about it, that includes Oblivion too, I used to play On Console all the time
I remember doing this quest 3 times, not a vampire, a vampire and a werewolf, (with the mod to be able to marry her) and it was awesome 😎
I always come to Serena the vampire, frequently actually.
Edit: oh wrong come..
He's a very powerful man, he works for nintendo you know?
what happens if grammar dies
For her and her alone would I have my character become a vampire themselves 😊
This is a cool idea. Never thought of it.
I'll never get over the fact that Laura Bailey is in Skyrim
Best waifu of all, a shame you can't marry her
I'm sure you can it's a long time ago but I'm certain I married her in my playthrough using a mod on steam
“I smelled you before my eyes are open”
Ooh... she wants..something interesting I guess.
pretty cool they got the voice actress for bloodrayne to voice her
I got this dialogue because my first mage character obviously abused necromage, props to bethesda
I'm doing the first companions mission and I keep losing too much health when in combat. I don't have a diseases and I'm level 15. In my other games I could do the mission no problem at a lower level too. Has anyone else had that problem and know how to fix it?
@@nightshadewinter6915 I have superior steel armor and it's overall rating is 99. It's very frustrating lol. I messaged Bethesda on Instagram but they haven't gotten back to me.

This is how I meet serana all the time.
Still so pissed I can't marry her. Like I became a hybrid for her. (Love that glitch.)
Yeah, one NPC that has a detailed background.... likeable personality and you can't marry her.....
F u Bethesda
I started the quest as a vampire and no one said anything…
I didn’t know how to feed or anything and didn’t want to be “evil” so I cured myself when it got to where I thought villagers would attack me..
But when I had to turn to go into the soul cairn I assumed it would be fine but I went back to dawnguard and they HATE me…
I’m like… wtf.. I was CLEARLY a vampire last week and you said NOTHING. Is this because of Serana..? It’s because I’m HER vampire, huh? Ya racist jerks..
I only sided with them because I heard Serana is good and I wanted to play this character as very nice and “good” but I’ll join the dark side on my next play through for sure!
Why is this so fucken new holy shit most of us have seen every dam dialog option in this game
I guess I haven't played WoW enough to recognize her voice until now, but now I want a mod that changes Serana's appearance to Jaina Proudmoore.
Dragonborn: Son of a...
Serana: Vampire, yes
i totally forgot laura bailey dubbed her and it hit me like a train when she started speaking 😂
Imagine her just falling forward and faceplanting
Always good stiff. And love to here malu :)
Don't know how, but back when I played Skyrim I was turning into a vampire but couldn't understand why NPC's were saying "there's a hunger in your eyes". Later on I found out you got a chance to be "infected" if you fight against vampires.
I read the title veeeery wrong
I actually did this when first doing this dlc it was fun I felt like a lesser being until dude grants you the power
The way she said is he working for my father I got vice city vibes
"Do you have to open Graves to find girls to fall in love with" (rob zombie song)
Yes.. in this case.. yes. Serana is Bae
"Bae" means poop in Danish.
And im sitting here immediately recognizing laura bailey as the voice actress 😅
I’m finally going to play this I think soon. Seems endless fun
Be careful, it will indeed suck you in
Honestly skyrim is a 7/10, I only like the franchise because of the lore, I'm hoping that the next elder scrolls games become better if possible

These little details is what makes Skyrim the greatest game ever made.
It's up there with the GOATs, i wouldn't personally say THEE GOAT, but no one can deny the copious and excessive passion expressed in the lore and stories told throughout your adventure. For whatever Skyrim struggles at, what it sure gets right is that genuine sense of adventure and immersion. At it's height, you do feel like the epic Dragonborn hero, who came seconds from an execution style death, to save the land and become the most epic Warrior adventure mage archer bandit thief vampire werewolf barterer iron dagger smither enchanter ever.
It's really not the greatest game ever made. It's barely even playable without mods like the Unofficial Patch.
Heck, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines is a better game than Skyrim, and it's a good 10+ years older.
LMAO not even close.
Skyrim has more freedom, amd it's a REAL open world. You can even marry in this game, have children and create your own house. All the other games are just go to point a to point b amd it's done. Just movie games.
@@erics7004, you haven't plated very many games then, and clearly have no idea what freedom looks like. Skyrim is four quests in a trenchcoat pretending to be more than that. It's all the illusion of choice, and is not even close to a "real" open world.
Bethesda: 2:14 to explore all possible conversation options
DND: 2:14 to read a lengthy prose before choosing a response
I was going to side with Dawnward, but every time when I got serana out of that place I was like 'no, this is cooler'
"Can't you tell by looking at me?"
No! You look like playdough!
Wot I don't even remember this bit.... I should go back and play again
In the 11 or 12 yrs this had been out no one has EVER thought to do this, nope never....ya know, unless it anyone who's played skyrim.
I got bit by a skeever and contracted vampirism before I met her lol
That happened to me half a dozen times those darn Skeevers make me mad because the last thing I wanted was being a Vamp, so that is Why every time I play I become a Werewolf at the very beginning and Go to the Companions, That way I ain't suffering through it,
