  • Candidate will shoot any gun of their choice, regardless of action, sights or caliber, at a
blank 9 inch diameter paper target at a distance of 15 yards. Candidates will fire 20 shots
from a two-handed, unsupported, standing position. Targets will be broken into two ten-
shot targets or four five-shot targets. Three points will be given for each scoring hit. In
order for a hit to count, it must fall inside a ½” border from the edge of the plate. Shots
that break the edge of the ½” border will count as hits. All scoring hits on a target must
be within a 6” or less extreme spread (see below). Candidates will be allowed to shoot
their own firearms if desired. Two requalification shoots are allowed within any 24-hour
    period.

You can use a red dot??
Using a red dot should be considered cheating.

Did you ever take the CCW instructor course? Wondering what the course of fire is going to be

This is a limited qual. You have plenty of time, no movement, not shooting behind cover. The NRA CCW course is much more challenging. Don’t stop at the basic instructor certification. You will need the basic as a prerequisite to go for the CCW cert tho. It is a must if you really want knowledge and skills.

      You have to ask.
I warned that I will need to practice extensively, to avoid failing and wasting my money.

@@prudentcitizentraining 5 days, shot about 1,000 rounds. Did many drills. Was definitely worth the shot if you have the change. Haven't been to any others.

It's on my list. Since this video, I've been to Rangemaster Basic instructor school, NRA basic, CCW, and shotgun and RSO. I've got a good base, but always wanting to grow more.

@prudentcitizentraining my job sent me to this school to be the firearms instructor for the state. To keep my cert, I will need to have 24 hours of handgun or other firearms training in 3 years. So, I'll be attending more. Thanks for the video
