As someone who has hundreds of hours in Sea of thieves I have to say that game made almost everything right, you have story missions with many interesting aswell as well written characters, The pve aspect is great with many different mission types and the pvp is so much fun, it takes a lot of skill to steer your boat and keep it floating while at the same time attacking the enemy, this doesnt mean the game is perfect but it has such a high skill ceiling and many things to do Also the soundtrack is pretty damn good
The PVP is pretty fun, the PVE is usually just running in circles shooting a guy with alot of health, and it is especially terrible when playing solo I've run around a boss in circles for 30-40 minutes in the past just taking shots at it constantly. really riveting gameplay. The PVP is probably one of the most fun PVPs out there, but when I played PVP didn't happen alot because the 1v1 ship matchmaking that exists now wasn't there, so I would have to sail around for hours looking for someone.
When people were saying that this game was going to overtake sea of thieves as "The" pirate game and were excited about it I was confused because it looks so bad compared to sea of thieves it just seems like another sim game tbh

this game was supposed to take my mind off sea of thieves because I cant play it and now i'm just sad because skull and bones is sh*t and sea of thieves just makes me angry so now i am stuck in a limbo of wanting to play sea of thieves, then getting so mad I just stop then look at skull and bones, see how sh*t it is then going back to sea of thieves and repeat. just makes me angry that out of thousands of games and only ONE scratches that pirate itch that I am looking for
@@btcbuster5556 yeah but what really puts that down for me is no pirate legend. I don't mind the gold debuff but no pirate legend just kills it for me. I would gladly only take 25% gold earning instead of 30% if it means I could just get pirate legend but because I cant what's the goal then? pirate legend is such a cool sounding thing but because I cant do it it just doesn't sound appealing at all. I guess I might as well play salt 2 or something.
