    Why not use evaporust ? thats pretty benign to metals and very effective on rust

      It will over time, but it looks better once the movement has been serviced.

    Good video. Yes it looks better. But I think that using a scrubby pad method works just as well and you dont have to untangle the chains after wards as you do with using the CLR. Plus you dont have the chemicals that are eating away at your chain and having to get rid of the chemicals afterwards. Some places frown up on you getting rid of the chemicals down your drain, or tossing them outside in your yard, etc.,. I live in the country so I wouldnt get into any trouble. Flushing the chemicals into your toilet bowl would be good to clean up that. I use CLR all the time for my sinks, bath tub, toilet bowel, etc., because I live in the country and have a lot of calcium in my water which I have to clean up. Just my thoughts.

      @munnerlyn3, the final results between the scourer pad and the CLR are pretty much the same, except the scourer pad won't remove the brass coating on cheap cuckoo clock chains.
